Even though it has no impact on the server when i saw the cinematic I was like "Nooo!" when i saw the city just get freaking erased, in my mind my Dilo i forgot about was still there
I imagine this will lead us into Ark 2. Aberration lands on Earth, and is the one Ark that was already broken and corrupted. We purged the Earth of elemental corruption, and this Ark jump starts it again. If you listen closely, you can hear Rockwell in the ending cutscene say "I'm coming for you". Ark 2 will most likely be different installments of us trying to take back different parts of the Earth from Rockwell and de-corrupt it, and possibly save Rockwell from the corruption as well.
Purely Evolved Gaming I totally agree. I was in class watching this, and when it showed Aberration, i jumped out of my seat and said “ROCKWELL!” Everyone stared at me.

Rockwell is alive and therefore lets me think that in the next DLC it will come back and the corruption will spread again on earth it will be a big map with all the maps of the game infected by corruption🤔
@Sasquatch Gaming its hard but not impossible, unique taming methods: Reaper - Get pregnant Rockdrake - Egg Stealing which is extremely hard the first time Basilisk - throwing rock drake eggs on the ground Roll Rat - Throwing honey on the ground Karkinos - like rock elemental Ravager - normal method Its so fun trying all these methods, and every animal has such a diversity of colours and abilities its insane, the map is beautiful and a lot more. But thats just my opinion.

If Rockwell was already defeated by probably some reapers what makes you think he survived a plummet to earth with thousands of tons of rock collapsed on him
He is the new boss of that ark like how the island had 3 the monkey spider and dragon and no matter how many times they die they respawn so does he he dies he will always be reborn
Rockwell is the overseer of aberration after diana and the others blew up the controlroom of the real overseer(therefore is permanently dead), normally defeated overseers never really die, they send their vanquisher out to the next ark, so rockwell didn't die on aberration

That’s the whole point of all of ARK. Surviving the corruption, completing the ARK cycle and reclaiming earth. You learned why you were here as the story progressed through the DLCs. :D
Not necessarily because the ARK would still have command modules to run it’s self on, like Aberration. It has sustained life, The ARK was working properly until the spire and arena along with the overseer were all destroyed.
Little late but I'll reply anyway. Not really. The overseer was testing you as a means to see if you're ready for Ascension. The reason Aberration's overseer is gone is because of a bomb that was detonated that crippled the ark.
it was a beatiful and fitting ending...sigh..but slightly ruined by the blurred polygons also see the aberrant ark and rockwells roar at the end on alpha was something of a surprise
Anyone else disappointed that the survivor implant went away? I know it was part of the story but cmon, it looked so cool with the island gem and the abberation glow :(

No you’re confused in Genesis they are in a simulation on a massive ship to find a new planet to inhabit in case the Arks failed. This all actually happens with the arks returning.
From the soil, they will basically be the tree for Co2. Element can still be used, but when element is used, it contaminates and corrupts the soil, but the arks will purge it now that thry are on earth
It would be really cool if we got these DLCS: Now that the ARKS have returned, earth is now full of wilderness. It would be awesome if we could see a map like extinction bc but now loaded with trees and maybe a landed ark Another map would be according to lore. Extinction has no night cycle since earth is in a tidal lock, it still moves but it moves at the same speed as the sun so they are constantly facing one another. Leaving the other side of earth in constant darkness and winter, what if we could see that side of earth as a new dlc?
Yeah, i wish. But that ain't never happening while they're busy with the animated series, Ark 2, Ark ASA and its abundant amount of bugs (especially on console) and revamping sll the maps for ASA
They actually plan to add a new canon DLC to Ark Survival Ascended. And if you look on the roadmap right after extinction they plan on revealing a “Surprise” the new dlc is definitely gonna bridge the gap between extinction and Genesis, by possibly having us try to prevent Rockwell from reaching the colony ship. Which we obviously fail. Guessing it could be called “Ark: Prime” or “Ark: Arat Prime” since that’ll probably be the location of the dlc.
Reasons for a new dlc 1. Helena said the sun was rising it was setting thou maybes she is in another parallel ark still and she is wrong and the element will take over again 2. Aberration is on earth now and aberration is hell 3. Rockwell is in aberration and Rockwell has all this new element to hurt him even more and make him more powerful 4.we killed the overseers so will some of the arks crash? Or will the overseers plague the earth once more? My main theory is that Helena and other main characters are suck on a parallel ark and we somehow get sent there as a final step to saving earth. Or we have to battle all of aberration.
extinction should have been more directly connected with genesis 2 showing the end of ark 1 both on earth and against Rockwell since with the end of genesis it seems that the ascension in extinction never happened
