- Just a little video about Gabrielle, Grace & Juanita ! I was really in love with this triangle so i made a little video ! I hope you gonna like it =)
Carlos was, yes, considerate of Juanita's well being.
But not Gaby's.
She lost her child, why can't she have the space to mourn her even in her own home.
She does love Juanita, but she also loved her biological one.
The miracle one that she carried after she and Carlos thought they would never have children.
She loved and lived with that baby in her womb for nine months.
That connection, you can't just ignore that or set it aside.
Infact, Gaby got depressed and got a doll (princess Valerie) as a cope mechanism for losing Grace.
For Carlos it was easy to move on.
He didn't carry the child for nine months and learned to solely love the one that grew up with them. But still, it doesn't give him the right to take away from Gaby the right to feel sorrow and miss their biological daughter.

Honestly I totally got where both of them were coming from and about protecting Juanita but I was upset that no one let Gaby grieve. Like even when Gaby went to therapy after, they focused on her childhood trauma of not being protected and being raped. They never talked about her grieving her bio child though.

Because his daughter is Juanita
Fathers dont feel connection to the child until they're born. Mothers feel connection once they know about conception.
Because he's never met the child he's never had the chance in his eyes juanita is his daughter

Carlos was more worried about HIS daughter, Juniata and her feelings. The fact gabby was willing to risk the possibility of losing the child she grew up with just angers me. Yes her feelings are valid but she sure made it clear who she really wanted and it wasn't the girl she raised from day 1. Carlos was more worried about Juanita, HIS daughter
i believe things like this should wait until the child is 18, it might be tough but 8 years is too young to know all these things.

I know of something that really happened, like this, in which, with the help of psychologists, parents have made the switch and they took their daughters biological because, as in this case, had no guilt about what had happened! it is unrealistic to you to get take away your son again ..!
i get that carlos tried doing what's best. He tried doing what the doctors told them to, trying to remove all traces of her from their lives, trying to move on. But he forgot that some feelings you can't push down and ignore. It's what lead to Gabrielle's obsession with the doll later on. At least he recognized after a bit, that she needs therapy. That if at home, to ensure the happiness of Juanita, she can't say her name, then at least in the therapist's office
Fine that this all happened, but it makes me sad that in the series finale, Carlos and Gabrielle didn't reunite with Grace.

You must be a horrible parent, if you want to switch your kids. Just because that isn’t your biological child, in the first place I guess you shouldn’t be a parent.
Plotline was a bit ridiculous being that Celia, Gaby and Carlos' real daughter, looks nothing like Grace and is chubby just like Juanita. I understand they were going for a "nature over nurture" approach but they should have recast Celia if they wanted to do that.

the song is Taylor swift haunted and this video highlights how grace is Gaby's and Juanita isn't, and when Juanita runs off after reading the letter Gaby wrote to get all her emotions out she says "your not my mommy" and runs out and hides in the gay couples car who because of them selling their house the "bad" guy was able to turn the homes he owns into a center for rehabilitating criminals, a huge riot starts and people choose to attack the car because the gay couple are in it and they blame them.

Carlos was acting so bizarre. This entire storyline was so incredibly fucked up. I can’t see Carlos acting as if he had no connection to Grace. He’s a possessive man, I could have easily saw him keeping Grace and using his power and money to bring his rightful daughter back home. There is no way he would let her live a life on the run

Carlos was inconsiderate , he only considered therapy when Gabrielle was losing it.
You forget that a mentally unstable mother is still a danger to her kids, Gabi was losing it and it didn't help that her husband couldn't empathize however I understood where he was coming from and he did what he thought was best, I believe I would have definitely made the switch especially seeing that the parents of my biological child are good people♥️ or at the very least kept contact and at an appropriate age explain this to both our children . What happens if Grace feels neglected as if Carlos and Gabi didn't want her? Juanita clearly is fortunate.
Those are some things to consider, keep in contact somehow or take my child and go through extensive family therapy for us all including Grace's family since I can afford it.
It's a heartbreaking situation and I hope I never go through this, but as a mother of an 8 year old girl I can't imagine my daughter being raised by someone else💔

This arc kinda got brushed out quickly kinda wish Juanita were the real daughter instead
Juanita can be with her mom. She never connected with Gabby, because that wasn't her mom. I'm getting my daughter Grace and Juanita can be with her mom. There is a bond with your child. That DNA is serious.
I don’t think that Juanita would connect better with her real mother, Just because that’s a real mother doesn’t mean doesn’t mean. That she would connect better with her real mother, the same with Grace just because Grace is her daughter

I really didnt like this storyline. All the females in the storyline got screwed over. And carlos was pretty unfeeling. I think he favors juanita because shes named after his mother. But all in all still a hurtful storyline altogether.
I dont think he favours Juanita because juanita was named after his mother. he thinks about how this could effect Juanita so he wants to protect her. if you put it up that way and if uve watched season 7, you would know that Gabi is the one who favours Grace over Juanita.

@@Mmm-jx7up As soon as he found out about Grace he never cared to find out anything about her whatsoever! He expected the same from Gabby too. I 100% understand protecting your daughter from the pain and heartache that the situation would have and did cause her in the end. I'm talking on the level of how he treated Gabby. Gabby was clearly heart broken and depressed about the whole situation with Grace, what woman wouldn't be and Carlos her husband did absolutely nothing to help her through it at all. He deleted pictures from her phone, removed any pictures from their house, forbid Gabby to even speak about Grace in their house, anything to do with Grace was a no go for him, like she was the child he never wanted... LITERALLY! Gabby was the only one in this storyline that had any emotion towards Grace at all. The only reason Carlos went to therapy with her is because she started carrying around a doll and nearly got them killed when they got robbed in the car... and even then she had to ask him to go with her. Not once did he offer Gabby any type of help and support. So yes AS A MAN with a wife you supposedly love and care about who is clearly having one of the MOST DIFFICULT TIMES IN HER LIFE EVER and got no SUPPORT AT ALL yes he's farrr from a man in my eyes. Grace wasn't just Gabbys daughter she was Carlos's daughter too. He even admitted to Gabby "I know I've not been fair to you through all of this but the doll is a little extreme". So yes he ain't no man for treating her like that. A MAN IS MEANT TO PROTECT HIS WHOLE FAMILY NOT JUST ONE MEMBER AT A TIME!!!💯
