Porsche do an annoyingly great job of making you need 2 911’s in your life, Turbo for road and GT for track with a clear divide between them so your ‘man maths’ can stack up 😂
@@brianhimmelman420 It was no daily. It was fully built from suspension, to catless titanium exhaust, to turbos/IC's and meth injection. Was tuned for 100 octane weekend fun.

Would be good if you addressed why many people who buy the turbo s end up getting bored by it for some reason bc it's so good at being fast that it somehow becomes boring. I have a manual 992 S which I love but have always been intrigued by the turbo s..
@@alechall7082 😂 I didn't say i understood it but it's a common complaint.. My buddy who also owns or has owned turbo s, GT3, gt4, various Ferraris and a few lambos is a bit of a car snob but he actively encouraged me to avoid the turbo models and said to go with a GT car instead.. He leans more toward raw track cars vs grand touring cars. What I usually hear is they want to be actively challenged by the car and the turbo s is so highly optimized it feels more like a video 🎮 game.
"You instantly know what it means to that person who owns it" Financial ruination either through maintenance out of warranty or depreciation with warranty. ..but thank you, all who still do.
‘THE’ Daily Supercar ? Of course. But remove the word ‘Daily’ and then we enter a different use-case. Grand Tourer ? Sure. Hugely admirable. But how the hell in Starmerland can you use this thing ? You can’t. Unless your commute is Munich to Stuttgart and back, I’d ‘stick with the stick’ to find your kicks lower down the Porsche food-chain…. Or stump up the silly overs for the Sport Classic ? Hey, if we get a recession in Europe (likely at this rate) Porsche might actually put a manual back on the ‘Turbo’ options list …..
turbo Ss are a waste of a 911 badge; they scream "I don't know how to drive a sports car but I have a lot of money!", they are the worst cars in Porsche's lineup, immediately after the Taycan's and, for sure, the worst from the 911 product range. As a driving enthusiast, you should be embarrassed to be seen in such a 911; I know I would!(if regular(also turbo, unfortunately) 911s are too slow for you, then learn how to drive and get a GT car; everything else points at being more interested in bragging and brand association than driving...and you're a porsche 911 driver so, don't be that!)
The Porsche 911 Turbo is often considered the perfect car because it combines exceptional performance, everyday usability, and timeless design. Here’s why: 1. **Performance**: With a turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive, and razor-sharp handling, the 911 Turbo offers thrilling acceleration and cornering ability while remaining stable and refined. It’s fast (0-60 mph in about 3 seconds) but also comfortable for daily use. 2. **Usability**: Unlike many high-performance cars, the 911 Turbo is practical enough for everyday driving, with a smooth ride, good luggage space, and all-weather capability thanks to all-wheel drive. 3. **Iconic Design**: The 911's design is instantly recognizable, and while it has evolved over time, it retains its signature look. It also holds its value well, making it a smart investment. 4. **Luxury & Craftsmanship**: Inside, the 911 Turbo offers a luxurious, well-built interior with modern tech and customization options, creating a refined driving experience. 5. **Heritage & Prestige**: The 911 has a rich motorsport history and a loyal following, and the Turbo model is the top of the line, offering performance and exclusivity. In short, the 911 Turbo strikes a perfect balance between thrilling performance, practicality, and luxury, making it a standout in the sports car world.
So, let me get this right: the most comfortable, easiest to drive, fastest, and most competent Porsche is the worst Porsche to have, and we should be embarrassed to be seen in such a 911? Why should anyone making enough to afford this car not want to buy it? Should we not want a daily-capable supercar?

What a marvel of our time to have such elegant and fast cars like this! Happy 50 years 🎉

Was fortunate to drive a 911 turbo s at a Porsche day, only car I’ve ever felt I was holding on to for dear life. Fantastic
