It was her last film and she looks unbelievable nice, physically as well as characterly. She is at the same time full of grace, with a natural naivety and sympathy. I really do not understand why she was or is still since years the symbol of a cold vamp, because she is simply the opposite and looks like an eternal child. It is so sad that she could not live a life as she deserves and left so young. She simply met the wrong people at the wrong time. Probably, the best would have been for her mentally to play more comic roles like in "Some like it hot". She was splendid in this film and it seems she also liked to play comic and lovely characters. We simply love her for ever.❤
Marilyn thought she was "too old" and "over the hill at age 36" Well, she was so wrong. She was captivating, alluring, and in all ways, a true Star. Just watching her playfulness as she did her "walking test" shows it all. No one in Hollywood could compare with her. What she desperately needed was someone there for her who could convince her of these facts, reassure her, love, and protect her from all harm. She did not have this.
@@Consrignrant She was also put into an ambulance and was halfway to hospital when the paramedics were ordered to turn around. She was placed back in her room to die. Interviews with paramedics are in 2 documentaries I've seen.

We were really robbed of seeing Marilyn going into her older years. She was always very good looking and you can see she would have aged beautifully, she just was.
For all the talk about her "acting under water," etc. I see someone who is absolutely mesmerizing! I've watched about 6 hrs. of raw, unedited footage, and, take after take, Marilyn is always sweet as can be. Not a hint of being a prima donna. Never a curse word for forgetting a line. She was always up for doing another take to ensure the best possible work was accomplished. As much as I appreciate the documentary "Marilyn Monroe: The Final Days", it manipulates the viewer to accept her passing as the result of mental instability. That documentary also uses a scene from Something's Got to Give, which it shows in slow motion, to suggest that "her raw nerves" were especially apparent and "on the surface". Nonsense. Project anyone in slow motion and they can appear upset. Unlike Cukor, I see an actress working hard and trying to have fun between takes in order to help keep everyone's spirits high. I feel Marilyn worked tirelessly her entire adult life to became a real artist. I only wish she could have lived to see her impact on the world today. I taught 5th grade for 25 years. My students always recognized and loved Marilyn Monroe, despite never having seen one of her films. I still find that most gratifying.
I think she's awesome. Great video thank you. Took me back a few years. Marilyn was one of a kind. I would have enjoyed being her friend she seemed warm. Thank you for the video x
They were actually dark blue. What set the color apart was the particular shade of deep blue in contrast with her whites. But the defining and most distinct feature about her eyes is that she had what's known as chameleon eyes. It gives her eyes a very dreamlike quality that's uniquely Marilyn Monroe.
There is another version; all the footage raw. It’s most of the film really. And the one scene with the husband and the man from the shoe shop… her comedic acting is very very funny. I would say it is the best she ever was; very quick and sharp, so much hilarious stuff going on in her expressions as well as the lines. I always thought she in a very bad state at this time, got fired and fell to pieces. Then recently I learned she had been rehired. And I found these scenes. Difficult to believe this was the same time she did the Happy Birthday Mr President appearance. Seems like two different people.
@@sashalaryukov5008 It's funny because she put her tongue out! I'd like to see more natural acts like that of Marilyn. Most of the time she is in character.

It would have been a great movie !! What a tragedy that she passed away before they could finish the movie! She’s absolutely beautiful and gorgeous! We miss you Marilyn!!🥲
She actually was in pretty good health. She had a gall bladder operation prior to filming and lost a bit of weight which was a good thing as she had gotten a bit plump during her marriage to Arthur Miller. She is absolutely beautiful in these outtakes. She shimmers and sparkles.
Apart from her eye make-up, which is the cosmetic equivalent of a dumpster fire, she looks fantastic. Her acting seems far less mannered and exaggeratedly ditzy than in earlier films. What a pity we were not allowed to hear her and her fellow actors deliver their lines.
Thank you LakeConstan! Well, I wanted to show several faces of Marilyn, with the music and restored rushes, more than the "fails", but the rushes are available on youtube where you can hear the voices
Totally disagree, her eyes looks beautiful here in the 60s style cat eye. Her hair here is far too light as it's white instead of platinum blonde which is a little harsh but she still looks lovely.
She got Cukor fired, delayed filming, unreliable - gorgeous yes - maybe the most photogenic human ever - but super inconsiderate and took advantage of others at the work place - inexcusable.
I think she didn't have the choice about the make up and the hair-dress, it was chosen by the studio.. Also, fashion changed in the beginning of the 60s, it was not like the 50s style..
Coincido contigo, ese peinado y color tan platinado no la favorecía, lo mismo el maquillaje de sus ojos, además estaban enrojecidos, daba la sensación de haber llorado mucho
She had matured as did her beauty. She was shimmering and radiant in most of the scenes. She finally got to play a role on film that she never had before (and neither in her persona life), the role of a mother. Marilyn was ready to leave behind the "blonde bombshell", "dumb blonde" persona and take on more challenging films. I believe her audience surely would have accepted a more mature and confident Marilyn on screen.
К этому фильму, этому году, она дошла до своего предела. Уставшая до предела, измученная до предела своими наркотиками. Ее не нужно было забирать из клиники. Даже если ее не убили бы Кеннеди, - она все равно бы умерла в том году от наркоты.
"Sorry George, we can do it". Breaks my heart 😔 Marilyn looks absolutely beautiful 🌸 💖
