Segura: “yeah it’s so funny 🧐” 😂
He’s saying it like elements school kid reading a script,
You can hear him laughing off camera when he’s speaking lol
"Mmhmm yup wizard hah" 🤨 😅
I saw Rickles live in Vegas. He was slaying the crowd. He was so funny everyone around us had tears in their eyes from laughing. No filter, woke bullshit. He was amazing.
He was out of his league in this interview.
Quentin needed a host that understood how amazing this is
Im sure jimmy Fallon's annoying fake laugh would be so much better right?

@@Chankeypathak no
@@w00master then who? Don’t just shoot someone else down and give a fucking opinion or shut up.
Dude, he's talking to Tarantino. He's focusing on no the piss and cum at the same time right now
Segura has the emotional range of a toaster.
Which would matter if he was an actor
My toaster has the range from not really done to crisp black. And it only takes it seconds to go from those two.
I don't find him funny
@@allrequiredfields nobody is wondering if it matters but u
Yeah that’s a real cheap shot at the toaster
Segura doesn’t seem to appreciate how amazing this story is.
Maybe because Segura smelled the bullshit that came out of Tarantino's mouth? He likes to boost his own ego, everyone knows this about Tarantino. If you really believed this story, then you might be mentally challenged.
It's probably a shock to him. He probably feels this way about interview Tarantino. So he's trying to add it all up. He probably has like no idea or concept of what any of that would be like. Plus, this clip is edited to seem way faster pace then the real episode
That’s because it didn’t happen
@@Chris-yq3kp ~ which didn’t happen?
The story or this interview?
It's not that amazing. The story isn't even funny, and Tarantino didn't bother to try to do Rickles impression, because to him it wasn't a joke.
it feels horrible when you show passion
and someone is just like “right.”
That's on you, not the other person. People can't just pull passion out of a hat. BTW most of Tarantino's interviews look like this.
It feels good even worse when they pretend to be entertained.
easy fix, that's when you hit them with the "I guess I'll go fuck myself then"
Tom's dead inside 🤷🏽♂️
nah i appreciate the authenticity. react if you actually feel something. if you don't then don't do it for reciprocation sake. Go watch an audience in the 1960s and you'll just see how needy modern audiences are for reactions.
Nobody realizes that when Don Rickles singled someone out it was a sign of respect and privilege, especially if he threw insults at you.
Exactly but I think everyone realizes it, it was kinda the point of this clip
yep, nobody, just you, Don Rickles best friend and clear expert on the subject. how’s his biography coming along ?
@@banksdiggy Try looking through the comments on this video and others about Don Rickles. Too many young kids don't realize that was the majority of his standup act in Vegas for years. Too many of those same kids are whining like little crybabies about him being too mean to people.

not even Chappelle??
Gilbert Gottfried was probably the only other person.

Segura is just not of a high enough calibre to interview Tarantino
@@Sean-sn9ld he's just segura
@@joecobb7153 my point exactly, he's not worthy
@@Sean-sn9ld worthy?? Dude if you wanna talk “worthy enough to have a conversation with a director I like”, Tom Segura is one of the funniest comedians currently, his personality might not compliment Quentin’s but Quentin can be extra high energy. @@NINE-UP he's of a lower calibre, I dont know who organised this interview but Tom Segura doesn't have a the compacity or faculties to interview someone of Tarantino's calibre.
"Comedy is the lowest form of art"
Segura isn't happy that Tarantino referenced an actual comedian.
Yeah. I've noticed a lot of comedians only laugh at their own jokes... Is it jealousy? Do they feel threatened? IDK. It is kinda weird.
@@johnlshilling1446 I mean bert laughs at his own alot but I feel like when other comedians give just aChuckle they kinda have a feeling of damn it why didn't I think of this.
Peruvians are jealous and minimize everything they don't do.
Thats why British comedy is superior, when someone has real actual talent all the other comics will come out just to appreciate their act . One such comedian was Sean Lock who after his death was dubbed the comedians comedian because other comics loved his work so much.@@johnlshilling1446

Tom isn’t prepared for the intensity of Quentin 😂😂

The Vegas movie was Destiny Turns on The Radio btw if anybody is curious
Tarantino : Jean luc godard came to meet me from the grave.

When Don Rickles gets at you-you made it!
This is an instance of Don Rickles being nice but he’s still appearing to be mean. What an amazing experience for Quentin Tarantino!!! This was the highest praise from one legend to another.

Not in 100 years could Segura be 1/100th as funny as Don Rickles
This guy is an incredible director but as N actor, he kills it. 😊
“I wanna hide under the carpet” how could you not love someone like him. A hard working legend whose humble as anyone. And did it all on his own…
You're retarded, sorry. You can't notice the egoistic and self centred character of Tarantino as he says the story? You only think aww he's such a humble legend. Fuck no, he's a foot fetish weirdo that thinks he's the greatest director it ever lived on Earth. Obviously he's saying that after hyping and blowing the story out of proportions. He is a director after all, he can read the room and read the people in the room. He realized he lost Segura with this egoistic story, promoting himself as one of the greatest in face of one of the greatest at that time. What a pathetic old and bitter man.

Wasn't expecting this to turn into a Don Rickles story. That man was a genius.
Wow did he blow that with his lack of interest or understanding or whatever that was!!!! What an honor to be showered with that kind of attention from Don Rickles!!!!!! That was his way of showing he liked you and appreciated your talent! Love Q and his enthusiasm AND his massive talent!❤
Oh THANNK YOU, QUENTIN! I AM DYING HERE. LITERALLY! I van pass with a smile on mee lonely face.
Sagura is just trying to survive this conversation with an actually engaged, intelligent and enthusiastic individual. How this vacuum of talent, personality or decency made it onto my phone is beyond me.
If only someone had recorded that moment. So funny.

Don Rickles was an American Hero.

Casino is best Scorsese film.
LOVE IT. Only RICKLES could have roasted QT like that! Classic.
Tom had Quentin Tarantino of all people come onto his podcast, and it looks like he couldn’t be less interested in what the man’s saying
I love Tarantino but honestly the impression/bit went on a little long. It’s probably how long Rickles went, but hearing the story from Quentin, you get the gist pretty quickly and then it kinda just reads like bragging after that.. Kind of indulgent. I get why he was struggling to stay engaged, there’s other clips I’ve seen from this episode where Segura definitely looks more interested.
@@docmcstuffins5859 I see what you mean that’s just how Tarantino is, he rambles because he’s so passionate about his craft. It’s up to the interviewer to direct Tarantino (ironically) into an avenue of conversation. But, considering Tom hadn’t even bothered to read his book, I doubt Segura was prepared enough for that
@@docmcstuffins5859Wow this Segura guy must be the life of the party. He is quite enthusiastic just look at the facial expression. I'm sure you and Segura must be incredible hosts if you were to host together since you seem to see the Segura charisma 🤣🤣🤣
He's doing a bit for a professional comedian, and he's not bad but the pro will be sensitive to all the ways it doesn't quite work (mainly going on too long)
@docmcstuffins5859 *…So passionate about HIMSELF, you mean. 🙄
there will never be another Don Rickles
He’s such an expressive guy. I bet he’s a really cool to hang out with.
Can’t believe the great don Rickles introduced QT to Scorsese
This host is out of his depth when interviewing legends. Ive seen the whole interview tarantino tried his best to make this interview entertaining .
The interviewer was just trying to be a shock jock.
Ayo what??
I've seen multiple interviews with Quentin and he's a very difficult interview. He's all over the place, he finds only his thoughts to be interesting in the conversation, will not meet you halfway(for the most part), and when he's being "funny" he's usually the hardest one laughing at what he says. It all comes across as mildly autistic. A comic is someone who's trained in saying funny things and being interesting to other people, Quentin is focused on being interesting to himself in that moment. He's an amazing artist, but a horrible conversationalist especially when a camera is rolling.
@@spacezen886 I also disagree.
@sigmadeez420 I'm not talking about your experience, I'm talking about the interviewers
Don Rickles. Last of the old school.
Tarantino usually is not shy talking about his own films. He makes it a point to not mention that the "movie in Vegas" is Destiny Turns on the Radio. LOL
Oh no, you‘re right.
quentin acted in a movie called “destiny turns on the radio”
He reminds me of a passionate but unaware grade 6 nerd.
And of course he deserves to be as he is. All respect to him.
QT always kind of reminded me of Kevin Smith if he didn't realize he's a dork.
I love Rickles. Leave it to Don to turn a mundane situation into a golden story 😂🤚
Omg, I miss Rickles so much. Utterly irreplaceable. Funny how it's pretty much illegal to be as irreverent as he was in his day, and yet he was nothing but love 💗
Quentin can make a scene better than anyone, and he’s probably my favorite overall. Having said that, Marty tells a story from start to finish a little better than him.
So funny 🤣
Agree
How to identify a bad comedian: they're bored hearing about good comedians.
“I wanted to hide under the carpet. But if you leave the camera rolling……”
Thanks for pushing the book...and reading it
2 of the top 3 living directors, that is so funny! 😄😉👍
That’s so Don Rickles! 😂 RIP ❤️
Tom caught off guard at Quentin’s energy 😂
Don Tickles was the best lol 😂
Everyone's laughing but Don's sense of humor always has a prominent vein of truth to it. He did something similar when he went on the Tonight Show and roasted Jay Leno when he got the show back from Conan.
In this case, everyone knew he was 100% joking
Segura: "That's so funny" 😐
My two favorite directors
The only part of this story I don't believe is " I was acting in a film in Vegas" 😂
It’s true, look up Destiny Turns On The Radio-it was released on April 28th, 1995 and Tarantino played Johnny Destiny.

I was the like why was Don Rickles there then remembered he was the pit boss.
Have you seen Tom Sagura's stand up? I couldn't sit down deeper in my chair from the disappointment.
I love Scorsese ! I grew up in Manhattan, the West Village, in the late 70’s and 80’s and saw him on the street from time to time. He was always a real affection for the neighborhood.
Despite my love for his films, Quinten Trentino is my favorite filmmaker by far. There’s a familiarity with his films that make me feel at home, regardless of the story line. Hands down, a master of movie making
How can such a terrible story teller tell such amazing stories?!?!?
This man is a genius!
