In my experience with my own wallpaper removal, is that you can't keep the residual wallpaper liner on. Once it gets wet with the installation of the new wallpaper, the glue from the liner will reactivate and it will come off the wall. We had to have ours professionally removed.

Well the last 18 mths or so have been pretty crap with the Pandemic so congratulations both on your engagement and on the new home purchase. Lovely watching someone else do a home renovation. Wow you got tons done on the first day - both your parents were a massive help. Once you get cleaning and the major structural changes started it will all fall in place - just try not to clutter it too much when you start moving your stuff in. The garden looks great - and the road the house is in looks great too. Hope you have fab neighbours

Congratulations. I'm very excited for you. I would soak all that paper off the wall and even though the floor boards look good I would definitely carpet for sound insulation and to avoid draughts. Not sure what I would do with 'under the stairs' It looks a nice, quiet area.
I've put on weight and it's Matt's fault! He looked as if he was really enjoying those mini rolls so I ordered some with my groceries. Parkinson's finger jumped in and I ordered 2 packs of 10 rolls. Apart from 5 I have to my cleaner I ate them all. Helemaal lekker but... I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the new garden.
Are you going to put a loft ladder in, and board your loft for storage? You’ll be glad if you do. Storage is everything! We’re currently doing up a 1926 house, but we’ve been in ours 10 years - it’s given me plenty of time to weigh up what the final design will be. We’ve had/and still have a lot to do, but I’m loving what we’ve done so far. You’re both going to enjoy this.

so exciting!! be sure the flashing around the chimney on the roof... can cause leaks... are you moving the greenhouse, or getting another one? on the wood floors....I think I would refinish them and put in large rugs. hardwood floors are the bomb and so easy to keep clean.
The floors will be beautiful after you sand them down and stain them with whatever color wood stain you like! The house is going to be beautiful! You’re going to be so poor lol! All new homeowners spend every dime on fixing up their house, it’s the best project ever and the best reason to be broke!!
Whatever you do just please don't do that white on white theme. I'm tired of seeing all of the you tubers renovating their houses the same way. Give your place some personality. Congratulations 😃
