Love your bathroom. You have made the most of the space available. The kitchen dining sitting area is amazing and so bright. Think your choice of shaker units is wise as they are classical and timeless. You must be so pleased with it.

For the fridge door issue we use white self adhesive chair leg pads to go on the wall. Really don't notice them. Kitchen looks ace btw.

I was skeptical about how the bathroom would turn out considering the space you had to work with. It turned out FABULOUS 🚿🚽 The kitchen is awesome!

I have the BOSCH induction cook top and I love it!! It boils water sooooo fast when you use power boost! Get some microfiber clothes to wipe them clean after using glass cleaner. Microfiber keeps it from smudging!
Good advice, H London. I have a Bosch induction too. I like the power boost feature as well....and the really low simmer capabilities as well. Cleaning is a breeze. The glass top looks brand new even tho it's 7 years old. 🌺
This tour made me smile. With yummy, yummy dinners. The size of that bed in the hotel is INSANE! The quartz countertop is gorgeous, love me some sparkle. 😄 So exciting. ❤

The kitchen looks amazing and the bathroom upstairs too. You might consider not putting a handle on the cabinet door above the cook top. Without a handle it looks more like "furniture" if that makes sense. Like a "wood" vent hood. Most likely it's not a cabinet that you'll go into that often and it has a nice smooth look to it. Like a statement piece to the cooking area.

I meant to say that there is a special cleaner to use on quartz worktops, it's incredible and keeps it in excellent condition and protects it. I'll send you the link.

Hello Elliot & Matt, watching on catch up. The house is coming along really good and the finishing touches of the bathroom and kitchen also look great. Love seeing the cats and the garden. Spring is upon us all and the flowers always give a good feeling that summer is not far away. We have Hello Fresh food in my state Georgia too. They have good food and portions. Thanks for sharing and see you both next time. :)

As I watched, I noticed how close the wall is to your fridge door.
Here’s a tip to help if you are interested: I would measure that stopper you mentioned very carefully, as if it is too long by even a fraction, you could find you can’t open the refrigerator door far enough to remove the crisper drawer for cleaning.

your gigantic new fridge and freezer will mean you won't have to go to the grocery store as often, unless you just want to. this will probably be a helpful change.
Will the back kitchen be the dining room? I love how your house is shaping up. I look forward to your videos. Will the kitchen be too short for Matt? He is rather tall and I can imagine his back will hurt doing the dishes and bending slightly to cook. The kitchen looks like a showroom kitchen. I am so jealous. Looks great!!
Hi! Yes the back kitchen part will be a dining space. The Island and worktops are standard height and Matt is fine with them. Anything taller and short people like me would be cricking a neck! 😂

The Toilet looks very low?

It's too bad you didn't think of putting a windown in above the burners in the kitchen. It would give you more light, and it would give that end of the kitchen a less of a boxy feel. You could always change some things, later on. ;)
We thought about it and decided no window as you don’t want to be splashing cooking fat up it and we didn’t want the hob on the island. Honestly it’s no issue and the space is so flooded with light from the skylights we are pleased we chose what we have. X
For the states, not having a bathroom upstairs is really unusual. So, does this mean the previous owners had to go downstairs in the middle of the night to use the toilet? How inconvenient. I have a full bath upstairs and a half bath, downstairs.
Yes many older U.K. homes have downstairs bathrooms with nothing but bedrooms upstairs. It wasn’t until after 1940’s indoor toilets were more of a standard thing.

Looking fab😊good taste,dare l make an observation about the staircase l do not wish to be rude but as your kichen etc is so beautiful l think if you opened up the wall at the beginning of staircase with some glass would elevate the hallway,please don't think lam being critical
We completely agree and it’s something we wanted to do at the beginning of our project. We’ve had to scale back some ideas due to cost and time constraints. We would still like to do this in the future.
Hi, do the hello fresh meals give a carbohydrate value? This would be helpful for me not to have to work it all out as I am diabetic and I carb count to work out insulin doses. They have carbohydrate information. But I’ve never counted carbs myself.

What about flooring for the kitchen and what will you do with the former kitchen space?
We have the flooring. Same as bathroom.
The kitchen and bathroom are lovely but It seems everything is too small for Matt. The counters are too low and the toilet too low. Is this normal for England to have small proportions?
Those same thoughts came to mind as I watched too! Definitely the kitchen island would have been better at a higher height for Matt - perhaps it's not too late to raise the island up from the bottom? I'm sure they'll make it work in any case. In the US, we call the taller toilet "comfort height".
Everything is standard U.K. & E.U heights,sizes etc. Matt is 6ft3 and the camera probably distorts things a little.

The kitchen is really coming on - what made you decide to keep the ‘hatch’ through to the lounge? When you opened your fab kitchen fridge - just a thought - is it easy to pull out the shelves as it looks tight as your door opens to a wall - so if you out one of the little rubber door stopper things into the wall - will you still be able to open the door full to remove the shelves - just a thought.
Yes, door goes back perfectly fine for the drawers, the stopper would just be a precaution. We love the hatch its an original feature to the 1940's house. It's great for connecting the snug to the main kitchen area. Cats can jump through and passing cups of tea through will be a doddle.
@@ElliotNMatt brings a new meaning to the word “cat flap” for sure 🤣🤣🤣 but high though 🤣❤️🤣. Bet you can’t wait to move in - but it must be so good not to have to live amongst it all. You seem to have found reliable builders too - that’s a blessing with so many cowboys out there
