Completely agree with you on the Blantons, I’m in VT and we get everything at MSRP, that being said I have only had one bottle of Blantons that I bought 3-4 years ago, there’s still about 1/3 of the bottle left I’m just not that into it, but in the same time frame I have gone through roughly 7 bottles of Eagle Rare ( one of my favorites @ 40 or less) BT has some great bourbon But there’s plenty of other Great distilleries out there to choose from as well. Cheers 🥃
The shelves behind you should be bottom/back lit with the same blue color of the sign in my opinion. It looks GREAT but a tad on the dark side and it tends to all blend together a bit.
the only bottle i'm even close to finishing is a stagg 23b, i'm actually willing to pay for another 23b, as to me, it's fantastic once it opened up, and constantly wins blinds, i have 1 pour left in it. though, i do have a 23c, and a 24d already for backups. so i'm not super pressed to get a 23b.
i 100% agree on the others i own from your list. especially blantons.
I too love the 23b it’s a great bottle for sure
I haven't finished any bottles off this month lol I agree with you I'm not buying another regular Blantons again. Awesome video cheers!🥃
Cheers steve!
I can’t agree more with most of these choices. For me, the E H Taylor Small Batch is about $55 to $65 good. The stores here are charging $85 to $90 so I’m out.
I can understand that
You should get together with the guy that does the Chud Report, about the politics of whiskey. To be all positive, I have 5 rebuys- 100 proof Early Times, 100 proof Old Grand-Dad, 100 proof Coopers' Craft, 90 proof Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey, and Green River Full Proof especially on sale for $40.
I finished my wild turkey 70th anniversary jimmy Russell. I can’t wait to see it again and buy it
It’s a great pour
Picked up a Bardstown single barrel store pick a few months ago in michigan and it was one of my favorites of 2024 👍😉😋
So glad you liked it!
1783 is a good one for a cheap bottle. Way better than EW bottled in bond, which gets lots of love from whiskeytubers and I can’t figure out why.
I get ya on that!
At around $50, 1792 full proof is an killer value!
Yes it is!
Have another couple sips left in my Penelope toasted barrel and I have replaced it already. Same goes for my Heroes Selection Ryes from JD. Cheers brotha🍻
I finished an Old Grand-Dad 114 and will be buying another. I also finished a Redwood Empire Screaming Titan and will buy another if I ever find one again. I will not be buying another Penelope Barrel Strength. It wasn’t bad, but there are other bourbons I like better. I’m almost done with my 1792 Full Proof and will get another.
Love to hear that!
Blanton’s retail is 90$ in Mass now 🤦♂️ glad I bought 4 last year at 70
1792 Store Picks are where its at. I have a Full Proof pick thats close to Stagg level.
I can agree with that!
Completely agree. They are soooo tasty.
I killed one bottle of Blanton's, at the start of my bourbon journey, and thought it was "okay."
In my area of SoCal, Blanton's sells for ~$130. A very easy "ABSOLUTELY NOT" at that price. I don't chase BT.
I have not been able to get my hands on a bardstown sb this last year, so bummed. But I did get a distillery only 4 grain origin SBBP in my bargaining.
That’s awesome!
Those Bardstown Single Barrel Bourbon and Rye are absolute bangers!!
I am not a fan of 17922 Full Proof. I have had a store pick and a normal bottle. Its fine but I wont get another. The Bottled in Bond on the other hand I love it. Ideally store pick but I also have a normal one. I would buy another all day along. I have also had a 1792 Single Barrel and its a not great. In my opinion Bottled in Bond is the best 1792 of the ones I have tried. I have not had the 12 year or the sweet wheat. I would add Ben Holladay soft red wheat rickhouse strength to the list. Great bottle.
My 1792 FP pick is phenomenal. I don't have the SB, but the Bardstown high rye and BiB are great($47 ea)
My 1792 FP store pick is amazing as well. Has beat out some great bottles in blinds
All I finished last month were some mixer bottles. I did find some early times bib for $13/each so I snatched up 5 bottles!
$13, what state was that?
@andrettski8686 yeah, couldn't believe it when I saw the price tag. They may have mixed it up in their system with regular early times. Only the 2nd time I've ever seen them in Florida
Need a new bottle of Buffalo Trace 🥃 cheers
When I first started buying Blantons it was $60 and I thought well worth the money but now at $75 I have stop buying On another note I would not pay over MSRP for EHTaylor- got my last at $55
Mic location is fantastic, now I can see that beautiful face. Cheers Nate!
😂😂😂 cheers. I’m cracking up
St. Augustine is NOT worth what they charge. Sharp and not aged enough.
#Eagles!
Go birds!
