Over many, many years I've realised that screens are very personal. i.e. What works for me might not work for anyone else. So far I'm on my third screen on my XC. The first was a Unit Garage that got lots of positive reviews but it was hopeless with lots of buffeting. Then I fitted the lower half on a Puig Up&Down that I already had in the shed and it worked great bit looked awful. It came up 12" from the top of the headlamp shell and was quite wide. So I looked for something with a similar height and found the Dart Marlin. Early impressions are good. The beauty of the Dart is that it mounts using the headlamp mount bolts and so the screen can be adjusted for angle, unlike the solid mounted ones like the Unit Garage your Triumph tall. I'll also say that taller isn't always best because the wind comes around the sides of a screen to fill the vacuum and this is what causes buffeting. I'm 5'10" with "normal" proportions.
Thank you 🙏 for watching and commenting 👌 and I definitely agree that it all depends on the riders shape size and I don’t think any configuration is ever perfect but definitely better than no screen 👍
A very happy new year 🥳 to you both and thank you 🙏 I never realised how hard the first 1k would be but then I also find it hard to comprehend that 0ver 1000 people watch us lol 😂
@bikerbuddy3166 Think it's getting more and more difficult to get noticed amid a sea of other content. Saying that, Carol & I have been amazed so many folks watched us just chat over a beer answering questions. Keep up the good work 👏
I’m considering this or the unit garage screen for long distance rides next year. Good to hear your insight. Will you keep your smaller screen or sell it?
I will probably sell it at some point , can’t see it going back on , I definitely miss my triumph discount, so if you no anyone that works at triumph they will get you a 50% discount on any part or accessories, the triumph tall screen definitely makes a difference and would make touring easier, as ever thank you for watching and commenting 🙏
I got the unit garage, it’s high quality, and it eliminates all the hard wind off your body but these wind shields don’t eliminate the head wind unless you scrouch down. It looks like what he has there is the same height as mine. Mine was around $250 US dollars after all said and done including shipping. The shipping was great btw, they really get thing moving. The one thing mine had is there’s a place for a GPS if you want one. I also like the shape of it, but this one is a nice shape as well. I will be adding an extension onto it in the spring time. That’s one difference I see between the two, and that the top on this one is rather on the round side. Not sure how the extension would work on that. They do make an extension with a single center mount, but I’m not sure if the shape would match. The windshield he has seems to be from triumph so we should expect it to be of high quality as well. I guess you’ll have to choose which shape you like better. Considering the GPS mount. Correction….after looking at this lad riding, it looks a little lower than the unit garage shield and much rounder. Have fun !!!
@ginoasci2876 thank you for watching and commenting I did look at the unit garage and it was second on my list price wise after import tax and shipping it wasn’t far off the triumph price that and with the triumph screen I used a friends triumph discount, I’m also thinking about trying a extension 👌 have a amazing new year 😎🤘
Yes at 80 and has made a big difference ,I’m 6ft I do get a little head buffeting but there is a lot of clean air on chest and shoulders reducing arm fatigue hope that helps thank you for watching and commenting 🙏

@@bikerbuddy3166let me know if you’re selling the small one. I need one
I will do 👍
I have been considering this for a long time for touring, but I can't get a solid review about wind.
Is it comfortable at 130kmh 80mph?
