So great! How are you able to renovate so much in a rented apartment? Would love a Q&A on this! e.g. how much you've spent, what you can take away if/when you move, whether you have to restore it to how it was when you leave (e.g. original lampshades) etc.
I have found that my past landlord was really cool with us painting or updating things. Changing a light fixture or painting are really easy things to change out when you move out as well.
Some wicker baskets on top would give even more storage plus fill the gap to the ceiling. I love this room so much , the wooden shelf is perfect , many times I've had a gap at the back of a shelf because of uneven walls, this is perfect nothing can fall behind and it really finishes off the dressing table area. The space looks lovely but I thought you were going to rip the doors off your existing closet to make use of it. The space would have been even bigger that way
I’m assuming it’s a rented space so she can’t make significant alterations. Otherwise the smart thing to do would have been to debone the entire wall prop the unit back to the end of it and earn some extra space for dressing up and maybe adding a narrow shelf unit to fill the gap.

Anthea Wharton I have the corner unit with doors, you can also put drawers into the smaller section of it, if you didn’t want to have all shelves (but they aren’t very deep drawers)
Before the *situation* set in a month ago, I was all prepped to do a room renovation once I’d gotten my Masters thesis underway... it might have to wait for now but this has been STUNNING inspiration!

I love these DIY videos that you’ve made! The hallway one in particular was such a transformation. I’m in the process of making over my small en suite bathroom. It’s currently very white and stark and I don’t have the budget to completely rip it out and start again, so instead I’m painting it blush pink and toughening up the look with matte black. It’s a long process (I’m so slow at painting!) but I can’t wait to see the finished result.
