Chen probably knew that his driver killed the woman or at least suspected. For someone like Chen It doesn't look good for someone in a position in authority to look like they can't control their subordinates. Even worse have one of his subordinates kill someone on foreign soil without permission.

I'm no legal expert, but merely knowing the lawyer went to China and not the nature of his visit or who he met with wouldn't exactly be a breach of confidence. It's never a secret WHO your lawyer is, what you discuss on the other hand is.

Where do other Countries constitutions specifically give this freedom as a civil right that the government can not alter or abolish? No where. Americans have a right to bear arms. Other countries?
