Eagle fledglings Vic and Sid await the arrival of their parents. July 17, 2024

We managed a few days away and I was not able to access my eye gaze technology hence no eagle reports.
In reviewing the recordings the Whitehead family they have continued with their usual routine.
Sid and Vic return to the nest every morning around 5 a.m. They spend some time picking over any leftovers and making calls for room service from the adults. Sometimes they leave the nest for a few minutes but generally return to the nest or near by branches to await the arrival of one or both adults.
I have not witnessed any sizeable meals being brought into the nest. I assume they are accompanying the adults and learning to hunt.
As you can see their house keeping skills are still sorely lacking. Truly the rubbish doesn’t seem to bother them in the least bit.
By mid morning they are off hunting or foraging for food. One thing is for sure both Vic and Sid seem to stick together.
