  • Hello.
My name is Mikhail and today I will show you how to make a luminous stretch ceiling.
Such a ceiling can be used as the main lighting.
This is the result that can be obtained with the correct distance between the LED strip and the distance to the translucent fabric of the stretch ceiling.
And if the distances are chosen incorrectly, then the result will be bad and the ceiling will glow with stripes.
Let's start building a light ceiling.
on a flat white base I fasten an aluminum profile on which I will glue the LED strip.
as a base, I made a stretch ceiling.
we fasten the profile at the same distance in this case, after 5 centimeters from the center to the center of the profile.
after the profile is installed over the entire area of the ceiling, we glue the LED strip to it.
LED strip of the smallest power 4.8 watts per linear meter.
despite the low power of the LED strip, there will be a lot of light, because the strip is almost 65 meters long!
The LED strip needs power from both sides so it will shine without power loss.
this work takes a lot of time.
for a reliable connection of wires, they need to be soldered and insulated.
connect the power supply and check the operation of the LED strip.
do the same work on the other side.
we check that the entire LED strip is working and proceed to stretch the translucent stretch ceiling.
after conducting several experiments for a uniform glow of the stretch ceiling, I got these distances.
    let's look at the result.
the ceiling glows completely without streaks.
    See you in new videos.
    see you friends!

Thank you for your fabulous work and great videos!
I have a few questions as I am thinking of installing LED strips for a stretched ceiling at home.
What kind of aluminium profile did you use?
What is the distance between the stretched ceiling and ceiling above it?
Are the LED strips powered with 24V? What are lengths of the strips (or the dimensions of the ceiling)?
What is the distance between the end profile and the wall - it looks less than 5 cm?
Thank you and keep up the awesome work!

      Hello.
      Thank you for watching.
The greater the distance between the lower and upper ceilings, the less often you can install the LED strip.
You can use any aluminum profile for the LED strip.
It’s better to calculate each object: for example, there are 10 centimeters to the canvas, which means there is a maximum of 7 centimeters between the LED strips.
To fully illuminate the ceiling, it is better to use LED lenses.
look at the photo in the channel community, today I posted a photo from the facility.
