Jeff, I think you need a bigger pencil for this job! Lol Even though you aren’t confident in your care for the BOP, I still would’ve liked to know what you have been doing. It looks full and healthy so you are doing something right! Plant on! 😀 I like the larger BOP in the corner

The Bird of Paradise is a lovely plant i like the one that produces the white flowers. That one is hard to find in a large size. Big plants is the hardest to repot if i had a garden be the perfect place to repot. I recently purchased the Ficus Tineke and Burgundy finally found one that is big and tall a 5ft one. Both of these are my favourites. Great in my big corner spaces. I like to repot my plants straight away when i get them as the soil they come in is usually nasty or in peat soil which is not airy enough to drain when watering. Also in case have pests especially ones you purchased in a garden store.

    • @EverythingPlants

Hello Josie. My humidity down there is pretty consistent at 60% so I can't really say. And do you mean crinkly as in curling?

I am cracking up because I have been watching so many birds of paradise repotting videos to find out how to fix my leaning plant and you are the FIRST one to address it! When you said it was kinda frustrating I totally giggled because I am having the same frustration! I think I am going to follow your lead and try planting a little deeper. I also might put some larger rocks around the base if potting deeper doesn’t help-I’m not sure yet. Ugh. I’m with you!
