  • What a long day this was. We got up at 3:00, drove 3 1/2 hours to Pamukkale for opening time, then drove another 3 1/2 hours to Bodrum.
Although we got there when they opened, it got crowded at the hot springs pretty fast. The good news is that the ancient city of Hierapolis wasn't crowded at all. We had a great time wandering around the many structures and exploring the vast ruins here, even though it was 100 degrees! We were so hot and exhausted by the end of our time here, but it was all so worth it.
Our advice is still to get there at opening time to try and beat the crowds and of course, try to pick a cooler day than we did because the ruins are large and walking the expanse of them takes hours.
Cleopatra's pool was a cool thing to see but way too warm for swimming on such a hot day and the pool was incredibly crowded. It is also a separate entrance fee which is another downside.
Thanks for watching our journey through Turkey and make sure to subscribe and check back next Saturday for our video on what we did in Bodrum, Turkey.
