      Ever since Baby Vox lost their hype in SK market and then decide to tap in the US market like they did in China and Thailand which is the success, they hope for the same result. From there they dig more rabbit holes starting from Rania and now they're using Black, Latin American and the largest population market of all India due to the foreigner validation from those cultures. No actual planning for the group rather they just throw random things to the wall and see which one will stick, this is why they reshuffling members every single time. At this point the business are still kicking possibility due to money laundering, construction companies and entertainment agency goes hand in hand on shady practices

    Honestly, I just assumed the "graduation" system was just an excuse to let the two girls go. DR Music is clearly all about trying to be "different" by having such a wide variety of different girls (which would be fine if they could actually manage a group well and weren't just solely trying to do it for the sake of doing it). So if they let Judy and Youngheun go that opens the door for more potential girls. Also, having a so-called graduation system also makes it sound like if anyone leaves this group that has a tendency to lose members they can just say "That's okay! We have a graduation system, remember? They left because it was just their time and not because of any real issues!"
    After all, when you look past the Blackswan members and include Rania/BP Rania members were constantly departing. At least by claiming that they have a graduation concept it makes it not look so shady. The issue is no one really likes that concept for kpop lol.

      Yeah, agreed 100%. The only graduation systems I’ve seen working out is in Japan with idol groups like AKB48 and with vtubers because they’ve established those systems from the start. Meanwhile in Korea, there’s a 7 year contract unless the members end up ending their contracts early due to various reasons, so having a graduation system works against them. Everyone expects a group to stay together for a few years before the dreaded contract expiration so to have this system in a field with 7 year contracts, it just feels off imo

    • @bubba94290
      @bubba94290 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      I’m thinking that the “graduation system” was their attempt to save face because the two members wanted to terminate their contracts and not that the company wanted to let them go

      @@bubba94290 I could honestly see that being true as well. This is the very first group I loved with my whole body lmao, I was staying so late just to stream, I could write an essay about all the members, I just love Blackswan so much, and even bought my first kpop album thanks of them.
    But since the company is irresponsible and seems to enjoy ruining their groups, they didn't handle scandals their gremlin named Leia made and kept the girl even tho she kept doing weird things. Because they had their hands full with scandals on the left and the right, they couldn't even manage the group correctly and most of all they couldn't give any attention to Youngheun and Judy.
    And it's already not easy to manage a group when you're not a big company and have foreign members (especially because of racists).
    So yeah, our girls left and good for them honestly, don't know any idol who would love to stay in a group where on of your members keep talking sh*t about you and pretend everything is ok and they do it again and again, and a CEO who don't care about you at all.
    Now, I wish to my beloved Fatou to leave this hell of a company and for Shreya and Gabi to have a bright future as idols because they're really talented and I love them.
    If I have to name one company that waste talents, I would instantly name DR Music. They had everything ans couldn't handle it.
    I feel so bad giving all my energy while the company treat us and the idols so bad... They pulled a "graduation system" out of nowhere and it was it.
    Wth honestly, I'm so hurt. Fatou, Shreya and Gabi are so talented and really get along like sisters but the company really sucks... I miss Youngheun and Judy, I miss them being with Fatou, I miss their energy and vibe. This is so sad.

    the sudden graduation concept is just stupid and i don't think that was ever the plan. its DR trying desperately to make it seem like they aren't incompetent. now it's not "the girls quit for (insert bad reason here)" or "we're firing our members for no reason", it's "they *graduated*, this is how it's *supposed* to be". do they think people will not see straight through that considering their history? get real dude.
    it just disappoints me so much. i am not optimistic for the future of blackswan. it sucks because i just want these women to succeed. and to be honest if fatou "graduates" i will probably lose all interest in blackswan because she's my bias. but if she does "graduate" i truly hope she finds success elsewhere, she deserves better than what she's been given. they all do.

And it sucks, Black swan was never intended to be a rotational group because they didn’t say that at the beginning. We knew that and they knew that. The problem is people liking groups for all the wrong reasons. They like the group for who's in it and not what the group has to offer.
    People claim to unstan blackpink because of lack of comebacks, but with Blackswan, it's okay and the company is the problem (which is true) but they ignore how little they give
    They're a very diverse group and it attracted a the fake woke people for one. That was already a fail
    The company has been horrible since 2011 (Whenever Rania debuted) and that's not going to change. They're just going to ride off the back of their non Korean members.
    At this point they're not even a kpop group anymore. And with ZERO Korean members, if they can still be considered one, then so can Karachi because at least they have a Korean member
    There's a lot of underrated groups that give 10x more than Blackswan and company does a whole lot better and the members actually appear to get along and are sticking together that people can support. A lot that also deserve attention and help in order to avoid disbandment
    Blackswan will only have a fail chance if they leave Dr Music and another company might not take a full non Korean group so they might have to go independent, which honestly would still be better than being under that company
    If they disband, I'll be happy for them because they don't have a fair chance where they are. I also know that DR will not give up and will hold on with every thread and just keep losing and adding members and changing names
    I would love to see them do better but I've been a fan since Rania and the company is still doing the same ol crap. They'll never thrive, sadly

    @Taina-mv7wg ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Their company being mismanaged is not the only thing that's the problem with this group, this is going to be a lengthy comment. There is no problem with there being foreign idols in Kpop (they are still considered a Kpop group in my eyes, I'll talk more about this later), even if the whole entire group is foreign. Kpop uses foreign influences anyways so not including other races doesn't make any sense. Of course the majority of Kpop should still cater towards Koreans and East Asians because in their countries that is WHO lives there and that should be the face of their country. Anywho here is the problem with Blackswan particularly.
    1st Point: The fact of the matter is that the members of the group don't really have much chemistry, charisma or adhere to the KOREAN/EAST ASIAN CULTURE. I watched a few of their videos on their official channel, the behind the scene ones for example, and the "cuteness" that they are trying to portray somewhat comes off as cringe. It just feels incredibly forced. When you compare to other foreign Asian idols, specifically East Asian it just feels as if though they can blend in more with the culture because their cultures are more similar. If you are going to debut in Korea you have to portray the Korean culture at least just a little bit, that is what Kpop is primarily based on, it's not just the music it's also the culture. Also Blackswan does not come off as a natural Kpop group, not because of their race but more so because of what I just listed. The cultural aspect is important. If they want to do better they need to adhere to East Asias cultural customs more. To me this is very important because now it feels like I'm just watching a pop group from the west. The fact that this group was formed in Korea but doesn't feel like it is a big red flag.
    People love to say Kpop is just Pop in Korean. Well obviously it's not just that because Blackswan is failing because of the very reason that Kpop uses a lot of Korean culture that they don't portray well.
    2nd Point: I'm sorry but they can't even hold a candle to other 4th generation Kpop groups. People keep making excuses for the members saying the reason why they are failing is because of the company, and yeah the company plays some part in it, but quite literally they don't dance too well, their raps/singing are subpar, they don't have chemistry with each other, and they don't have much stage presence. You cannot blame all of these things on a company. If something is your passion you are good at it. Even with other groups like BTS, SKZ etc. they were already ABOVE in terms of talent even though they came from NOTHING. For example Shuhua from G-IDLE was known for not having any stage presence and she was in a Kpop group for a bit (this is based off of what I read), and their company definitely had more budget, so budget is not necessarily a blocker for talent and skill. The other members of G-IDLE were always very good with stage presence because they worked for it. Now I am hearing a lot of compliments towards Shuhua. Again, I'm sorry, but Fatou is not the best 4th gen rapper, Sriya is not the best 4th main dancer by even the top 50. The newest member lacks in vocals, and Gabi is kind of just there. Nothing really special besides their diversity which leads me to my 3rd point.
    3rd Point: Their diversity is their form of "talent" as this point. Yes they are diverse ethnically and racially, but to me it just feels like Blackswans fans are using their diversity as a way to say they have talent, or are lying to make themselves feel better. Seriously, if this was any other Asian Kpop group they would get torn to shreds about how little stage presence they have, they would not stand a CHANCE in the industry. It is just not giving man, truthfully. I feel like Blackswans fans need to be honest with them so the Blackswan members can improve. All I see on their comments from the fans are "BEST 4TH GEN DANCER", "BEST SINGER", and it's like no, put them in a battle between another Asian Kpop group and they would lose so fast. That's one of the differences in culture too. Asian people are required to do more culturally since a young age, therefor they are able to withstand more training and have a lot of talents at a young age. Not to say other races don't have this but as I said it's ingrained culturally, so even Asians themselves want to be the best of the best, specifically East Asians love to be good at dancing.
    4th Point: Bad management. Their management sucks, just seems like a diversity grab. Don't know why the managers aren't telling them that they look kind of cringe sometimes and need to improve, it's just all bad.
    Anyways that's the reason why they are failing.

    • @kpopdisco2330
      @kpopdisco2330 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I disagree with the charisma part. 0T3 Judy/Fatou/ Youngheun was top tier. They got along so well, and Fatou and Youngheun still interact with each other. They should have been endgame, IMO. And if there needed to be 5, add Shreya and the new vocalist (sorry, Gabi, the other girl is a better vocalist) and Endgame. I also disagree with the first point cause let's not forget Blackswan is like, what the 4th version of Rania. An all East Asian group minus 2 girls in the end before rebranding to BlackSwan? This company and this group have been a mess for over a decade, and it doesn't have anything to do with the members' nationalities nor lack of East Asian flare. I get where you're coming from with talent wise, but they had potential. There are and were groups that are and were in the same boat as BS talent wise but didn't have as many problems and reached more goals, not because they lacked talent(I can pick out some very successful groups who are on the top of the charts with members lacking in skills, and some whole groups, that reached moderate success ) with little talent and a decent management team) lastly I agree DR Music should pack it up when it comes to managing. They're doing the same thing to BS that they were doing to rania, and its getting played out.

And then you add all the scandals and drama since their debut and it's just bad news. BS doesn't seem to have chemistry with each other either, more so now that the other two members are gone.
    Anyways, there should be balance. If 4/7 girls were Korean and the other 3 were forgeiners it would be better, but not a single member is Korean, it comes across as ungenuine

      Right being in a KPop industry which is based in South Korea, you need to have atleast 2 or half Korean members in the group. That was one of the biggest reason of them not getting much attention in Korea than internationally. Then all the drama comes and you were on point when you said no chemistry between the members. I hope they will be successful individually in case they disband.

Why does their company keep trying to REBOOT blackswan/Rania instead of just giving up and starting a new group with a clean slate? Literally no other Kpop group in history has tried this hard to keep the ball rolling when the ball is literally a cube and just will not roll, Because it wastes money, resources, and the members lives. Putting it simply, kpop is supposed to have Korean members for the simple fact that its Korean pop. as the years have gone by other east asians and even some southeast asians have been added into kpop groups because they fit into that “korean” look. My problem is how are they going to call themselves a kpop group when there are no members who resemble that. If they’re going for an international appeal, they should do what z-girls did. They didn’t call themselves kpop because there were no koreans in the group, instead they marketed as a genz group “Z-pop”

      @@Reveswan I stumbled upon a Fifth Harmony clip (idk how fat in their career were) where they were addressing fan comments on why some members were thrift shopping. They explained that they we're earning much and in fact we're doing worse off financially once they joined the x factor than before. Idk if that's an old clip, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't earn much through their career despite how big and successful they were - only cause I stumbled a TLC clip that explained they were legit broke despite selling millions of albums. If western artists aren't earning much at the height of their career then it's bad news for Korean artists, bc kpop is notorious for having low wages for their idols.
      For big and ultra successful acts like BOA ( made it big in Japan) and EXO ( made it big in China) to have a net worth of 10-15 million (per member) is too small for a 10 year career. Many western artists who do eventually earn, earn more than that.

      I didn't watch or listen to BP Rania, but I heard they've went through lots of lineup changes. If DR Music is gonna continue with this model with Blackswan then they're gonna ruin the group. Many supporters (esp Black fans) are here for Fatou. If she leaves, they will too. That's probably why sneaky DR Music got another Black member. They know that support from the Black int community is big.
      On one hand I can understand that while DR was training new members, it cost them money. But DR needs to sell more products for fans to consume to sustain their company
      Blackswan cbs are infrequent. At least if YG has a cb for Blackpink every year or two, the girls have multiple cfs and sponsorships/ brand deals so they're still earning a wage (way more than kpop would ever pay). Blackswan members need work to earn a living. I wouldn't be surprised if they're broke. They barely have events and performances, let alone music releases.
