Dude matt Stefan made this rig months ago...started a tackle company called core tackle to sale them..but the fishing industry is a copycat industry so it was only a matter of time before someone else made em..Its awesome to see your excitement about it tho... nothing but love dude
Yeah Mikey these guys are absolutely right Matt S developed these months ago and I’ve been killing them smallies this summer on the OG Hover rig…mad props to you discovering this new concept though!
Core Tackle was the first to make those and the originator of them and Core has them in weedless. However this happens every company will have them soon it's just part of it i guess.
Talk to Matt stefan... not sure your guy who said he's been working on developing the hover bait... Stefan as far as I know months ago helped develope the hover bait Go to Matt Stefan fishing.... bad vide here all of a sudden
Nothing against mikey but I'm extremely disappointed in Gambler just ripping off Core tackle. Matt Stefan is great dude I will continue to buy his hover rig
I’m kinda sure there’s hundreds of different companies that make each type of lure out for all of us. Thankfully we’ll keep having more options. All I can say is that the more options there are for us, the better it is !!! Plain & Simple !!!
I'd understand if Mike is sponsored by Gambler. He's just working. When I saw the YT Short, I thought he was talking about the Core Tackle original, though. Maybe someday 👍
A copy of Core Tackle’s Hover Rig, lol that didn’t take long, as soon as somebody makes something new these days other companies knock it off and make their version of it
Tackle Warehouse has many sizes and weights coming from gambler. This is just a Jighead to go with the forward facing minnow style baits that have opened a new tackle market, that has exploded due to the use of forward facing sonar.before we had these good hook offerings it was lite wire crap for panfish that opened up on 2lb fish.I am.glad there are competitors in hooks. If we all sourced from 1 dealer, there would never be any in stock items.and only a few would have access to these jig heads, and thus have a edge over other anglers.
This is a Core Tackle rip from Matt Stefan’s design. Why in the heck does this industry rip off everything just to steal a little market share. Would be better to say this came from that idea but here are some changes
Everyone's trying to dick measure who came up with the rig first. Folks the rig came out years ago in Japan; Matt Stefan didn't invent it. And he didn't invent the first jig head to suit the technique either; TT lures already has a Hidden Weight system jig head that produces the same results and they came up with it years ago as well.
Great test Homy! I like it. Your a scientist of the Hover Rig. I just ordered a bunch of them. Caint wait to try them. I’m the finesse creek fisherman. Thx for sharing your knowledge! Your Da Homy Scientist! Lol. Proud of you! I got to go and watch you catch some again. 🥸👍
At least it's not nearly identical, like the Nessie is to the Flag. Gambler's version is different in design but it essentially does the same thing the same way. However, Core Tackle's original design has yet to obtain a utility patent.
That's a killer rig but man...ive always had respect for you and this is not a gambler design. Matt Stefan designed and it's been made for over a year and selling for about 6 months. So y'all should at the very minimum give credit and say that your design is based off of his. This is a bummer because I usually respect you'd stuff but dang...this is the most obvious bite ever
Boy this one is getting some discussions going. Dont care Mikey, always fun to watch! Bogs was just chill'in too. Good to see him back in the boat. Tightlines brotha!

Bro!! That’s a zoom superfluke knock-off. 😂. I promise Matt and Jonny weren’t the first ones either. I’m still mad at Dirty for copying StrikeKing’s structure jig. Fanboys everywhere. Great vid Ballz.
Don't you know there can be only one of everything? Smh these people kill me. Who made the original worm hook? Is that all that's in your tackle box? Doubt it... Troll somebody else... Good vid Mikey. Great hook Gambler.. Thank you
The FFS is included within the 3-pack 😧😧?? I think the trick is that the Fluke has a 'Nose' after rigging that results that the Fluke swims irregular (like a drunken man) 😁😁
Take a jig hook and insert it into your elaztech fluke. Poke a hole through the bait side to side. Insert a dumbbell weight, tungsten or lead, through the hole. The elaztech holds the weight. Superglue if needed. No expensive hooks. Let's you use tungsten. More compact and shows better on your FFS. Done.
What a ripoff !!! Core tackle,Matt Stefan and Johnny Schultz released this bait 3 months ago. Did your buddy work at Berkley another company that rips off someone else's work!
@@secretbassrigs I’m sorry but who are you to tell me how to spend my money? You obviously don’t believe in freedom and Capitalism. Gambler isn’t some Chinese based company. I find it hard not to work when u can locate the fish with a cheat device....then drop a bait that looks exactly like what they eat....wow it's a miracle we witnessed
So everyone up in arms about copycats, let me clue you in from Japanland. This is the first video I watched on Hover Strolling: th-cam.com/video/QA21OqNnkLg/w-d-xo.html The Japanese were doing this technique way back in the Samurai days-lol! It's still cheaper to buy the hooks in bulk and use a nail weight.
the original Hover Rig Hook wont tear out as easily. It can make a soft plastic bait last longer than usual. But there is a slight advantage to using a nail weight, because the nail weight is easier to rig closer to the bottom, off the hook, for a lower center of gravity.
@@secretbassrigsI still use a nail weight occasionally with my Hover Rig hooks...usually if I want a slightly faster fall rate or to correct those cases where the Hover Rigged bait is top-heavy and wants to roll over when you stall it.

They initially didn't seek a patent. But now they are. They're using the only attorney that beat Z-Man to do it.

you should have tried the original by core tackle. That protype is 4 or 5 lures late to the party.

It must work well for them to knock off core tackle that quickly
great point!
I like the weed guard on the Core jig.
I caught my current PB on a Hover Rigged Caffeine Shad.
@@GhostFishSlayer - I like the weed guard too and I have the option to clip it off if need be...
You should try the Tush Rig which is also by Core Tackle. A one two punch for my finesse fishing style.
He will in 3 months when someone copies that as well 😂😂
I got my Core hover rig back in March. Great concept, you should use the original hover!
Got mine last month

Hey look... it's a(nother) jig hook with lead wire wrapped around the shaft and a wire extension to keep the hook on.
I caught 21 bass on it Monday!! Biggest was 7.5lbs. It definitely works!!
Shame on you for promoting a knockoff product. Core tackle should be who you are promoting in your FREE promotions!!!!!
