do you have a video (if not at least I’m interested in it(or if you can just tell me)) about the difference with in the whole rangefinding Binoculars(10x42) range. So what are the deferens between the 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500+ euro rangefinding binos? Of course I know that some has Bluetooth and ballistic capabilities and the difference in the country were they are made and so on. But I think that can not be the only difference between 1000 and 3000 euro right?
You guys are great!!! I've learned so much about binoculars wit you guys and I appreciate your time and work on your videos. One more suggestion on a video. Are you guys able to make a video about what you guys do to evaluate and assess binoculars, focusing on (Pun Intended) optical performance and construction? Do you guys ever use anything to assess light transmission or optical charts at distance for chromatic aberration and other optical characteristics? Thanks again guys!
Either the coting of lens were water soluble and left a dens, nontransparent film over your lens or the glue or something used inside the barrel had this problem.
Great video! I leave here my suggestion: since companies do not cover collimation and it doesn’t compensate to get cheap binoculars fixed, you could make a DIY video showing how to repair (at least to help those who don’t have the money to buy a new pair) - since they don’t work and we need to buy another one, it doesn't hurt to try to fix it.
You need optical bench to measure it correctly, move the elements and tighten them. Requires disassembly. Some models have adjustment screws locked by some loctite and placed under outer shell shich you can use to slightly tune the optical axis of prisms. But it is very sensitive.
@@xmeda Yeah ... I know all that. I have an old Tasco compact and unfortunately it is out of alignment. The cost to fix it is practically the price of a new one. I already disassembled and cleaned it but I couldn't figure out how to align the prisms.
ive tried everything. i have good expensive binoculars. theyre perfectly aligned. and other see though them perfectly. its just me who has a double vision while looking through binoculars. i see perfectly without them but through them is a different story.
@@sidv4615 Probable had the same problem, for two days I 've been "trying" to see through my brand new binos to no avail. Everyone else with more experience than me could see perfectly but I was keep having double vision. Then a miracle happened and I could also see perfectly. It has to do with the focusing mechanism of our eyes. The way you look through binoculars is different from the way you look something without. Let me give you an example, if you look something with your naked eyes up close let's say 10cm in front of you the focusing is deifferent than looking something at 100-150m. Good luck!
@@a.k.3659 I think you are a movie star. In every movie when someone looks through binoculars, we see the image depicted in a funny way: two circles next to eachother ("double" image?). I wish movie producers would stop this nonsense: we see that someone uses binoculars, so the close up image after that should be what the person sees through those binoculars.
I know what is wrong with my bino. I want to learn how I make it right again. GIVE ME BACK MY 6 MIN. 2SEC. TIME OF MY LIFE WASTED HERE BY YOU! ABSOLUTELY NEVER WILL BACK TO THIS CHANNEL. Go make a clip as to WHY!
Why does he say they can not be aligned when most binoculars have two tiny screws on each barrel. There are other channels showing how this works.
What about auto focus binoculars for astromancy are they any good.
Mine went out of alignment but they were never dropped. I suspect being left in the outside heat is what did it.
same with me😢
Thanks for the video and explanation. I had this problem. I smack my bino on the table and the double vision dissappeared. What a relief.
Is that true ?
Why isn’t there a “debates” tag?

We just published our buying guide on binoculars with laser rangefinder here: www.optics-trade.eu/blog/lrf-binoculars-buying-guide/
Some zoom binos have small shift at the long end unfortunately thanks to some play in system.
mine does that . can they fix it ?
"Take care". Good advice.

No joke
Thank you , I just put the cover on one eye 😉

@@CavanhaMan You can't. Focusing & some other assembly properties are shared process however good/smart planning. Best cover one side and your set.

i solved double vision by switching barrels betwen them
