I mean, I don't know many people that went into the medical field for noble reasons. People can still save lives as part of their job and still be douchey people. Those cheap shots were still cheap shots. Being a doctor doesn't change that. The villain thing before that was uncalled for though.
@@Jay-ck5mj Trust me, most of them do. Not everyone are good people in respective job fields though. Disclaimer: this isn’t about idubbbz or Dr.Mike There are many people who are famous or very wealthy and a few Million dollars to charity doesn’t mean anything to them so they do it for tax write offs and for the simple publicity of the situation to make them seem as if they are a good person. Now I simply couldn’t care less why they donate to charity because a donation is a donation and the money given to the organizations will be used for good however they could be a horrible person who just decided to write a check and sometimes it’s released that people donate to charities yet the charities either never receive the donation (they didn’t send it) or the place they donated to wasn’t real and the money goes back to them. This was simply to inform anyone who may not know this and believe all that donate are “good” people and once again had nothing to do with Dr. Mike or Idubbbz
@@baileymartin9661: Okay but this isn't Laura Lee trying to save face on the Internet, this is Dr. Mike who - if you watch some more videos - donates quite often to charities. There are so many people who don't donate to charities at all, and I am talking about a small percentage of one's income - not millions of dollars which most people don't have. In the end, none of us knows him personally but I do believe that a person, who donates to charity regularly, has a good social circle, treats pets well and dedicates his career to not only treat ill and injured patients but also educate the people and debunk medical misinformation, can probably be called 'a good person'.

It was for publicity. Not for charity. Fights make a lot of money. None of us know how much of the money actually make it to the charity. But one thing is for sure. Since Floyd Mayweather started doing these kind of exhibitions he found a way to create drama and publicity to make a great amount of money by doing fights. Physical violence makes money and it's not just for the charity. Jake Paul and Logan figured that out a long time ago.

I'm not surprised most of the fighters were more in IDubbz "sphere" of youtube so they'd be more likely to root for him. Also because Idubbz was the underdog would have stoked the flames for dislike towards him. That he is conventionally attractive and fit didn't help either
@darrin Oh, so there is no people in need for help in the entire world? They're just faking it to create an illusion of an imperfect society? That's good to know, I'm happy that everyone is actually perfectly fine. Thank you!
from a former fighter point : your defense was clean af , glove touch insta gib is to be expected. clean and legal tactic , you dominated the ring , hands down your match. i rooted for you and you delivered :) great fight champ !
This is why I am not a fight of touching gloves at all. Boxing, MMA, nothing. just come out of the ring ready for action. Seen too many fights where people get tagged after a glove touch that changed the whole game, just seems silly. Even if its a legal tactic you're kinda forced to touch gloves if they offer cause its "bad sportsmanship" not to. Hey sometimes fighters like to be outside the clinch not in it, in mma some people got bad takedown defense. Telling that fighter to touch gloves and expose themselves willingly to defend a sudden off the glove takedown or hook is just Asasine.
"glove touch insta gib is to be expected" No. While I agree it isn't as big a deal as people are making it. And Mike didn't do it to get a cheap shot on purpose. Let's not pretend that this is something that is normal and clean. Legal =/= Clean. I've been fighting in amateur MMA for 9 years. Most fighters will tell you to be ready for it just in case and to have your gloves up for when that bell rings. NO fighter will tell you that it's a clean, respected highly regarded tactic. Again, Legal =/= Clean.
People need to understand that in a fight, whether a friendly fight, a real fight, or even a street fight, unintentional hits happen. They are literally moving, punching, and dodging 60+kmph hits, there is no way for them to control the exact places that these hits will land. That's why the ref and warning calls are there for a reason. And another thing, the sympathetic nervous reflex is there to protect the wellbeing of a person. It is a survival reflex of the body when in a stressful situation, such as a boxing match. Landing some cheap shots and punching while hugging is difficult to control especially if you're a first time boxer. That's why the phrase "control your nerves" exist
Also this is a high stress situation with tunnel vision. If you are well trained and prepared, you may remember how to do the fighting. Other higher brain functions, which were not part of the training, are probably blocked and reduced.
Unintentional hits hapen but you need the basic control to know when you throwing. If you can't handle the pressure don't step into a ring. Throwing suckerpunches when touching gloves still seems bad to me, and if Mike has been training boxing for 10 years and slips up those I don't know what else to tell you. He should know better.
Exactly man, there's a guy in the comments section saying doctor mike did some cheap shots, I literally told him "L + Ratio + Fatherless + What you're saying is BS + Stfu + Actually get a life mfkr" I feel like a champion for some reason, feels good to destroy some stupid mfkrs.

@John Doe I have to disagree with you. Violence for the sake of violence is a horrible degrading thing, but enjoying and understanding the art of combat is anything but unintelligent and low brow. There are so many aspects to go into fighting beyond the physical demands, for example like Dr Mike was saying the changing of the timetable for the the rounds and the amount of rounds was a big deal because it changes the strategy. Longer fight means you've got to take into account you're stamina your opponent's stamina and control your attacks so you don't end up winded and weakened thus an easy target for your opponent. If you're an intelligent fighter you spend time researching your opponent to look for weaknesses that you can capitalize on and try to discover your weaknesses that your opponent can capitalize on, even how you sit down and where you look between rounds can effect how a fight goes.
@@justinmiller4046 "Violence for the sake of violence is a horrible degrading thing" I'd agree with you in this one. You'd need to get your self checked if you are violent for the sake of being violent. I however would make a point that the event wasn't being violent for the sake of being violent. The intent of the event was clear and that it was to raise money for charity and there doesn't seem to be any pleasure of hurting someone that any of the boxer had. To further support this argument they didn't got paid(in the tickets offline and online as of my knowledge) and with the fight of doctor Mike and Idubzz they said they planned for things, strategies changed last second, and this was their first time fighting, so if anything really the explosion on round 2 glove touch and punching after the bell could all be attributed to first time fighting and amateur(they trained, so I'll say this in the context of experience) boxing. Bonus: I Did A Thing didn't hit Odd1nesout when he was dazed. To continue with my argument I'm just gonna say that you made a contradiction. If you say something is "unintelligent and little brow" and then explain that you would need intelligence(thinking, planning, strategy) it would pretty much invalidate your point of it being unintelligent. As someone who has done martial arts for his entire life. That’s not a cheap shot dude, everyone does that. The glove touch is only for an instance. After that, all is fair. The moment the bell rings, your guard should never come down no matter what! For those who wanted to know: Wrestling from 5 - high school level. Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu from 17 to 22 now.
It's just bad sportsmanship, shows little respect for opponent. Mike already explained why it wasn't the case here, but generally speaking that's how it's perceived.
Tbh, this is what naturally happens between someone who's only trained and studied boxing for 2 years and someone who has done it for more than a decade. When it comes to a fight, a boxing competition, skills, technique, and experience is all that matters.
As a martial artist myself I can 100% understand the strategy going out the window when that bell rings, or the ref says fight. You guys were amazing! Idubz is a freaking beast for putting on that much weight and giving you a run for your money! You guys did amazing and everyone is the villian in someone's story!

I understand the adrenaline and the fear in those short moments and split decisions, I’m so surprised you stayed calm, if I get in a fight I would freak out on what to do next. You both did amazing and nobody did nothing bad, evil, or ilegal so I don’t understand why people try to make dramas on a case where drama doesn’t exist.
You looked like you were one tan away from asking us if you ever told us the definition of insanity. You were definitely the villain in that fight. But I don't get why that's a bad thing. It made for a great show and a great fight. It doesn't mean you're a bad person.
Don’t worry Dr. Mike, some people really need to understand that this is a sport and really going into a boxing ring for the first time is extremely nerve racking, mindsets and strategies change in seconds. Both of you were willing to fight respectfully for charity so both of you are the heroes.

from a former fighter point : your defense was clean af , glove touch insta gib is to be expected. clean and legal tactic , you dominated the ring , hands down your match. i rooted for you and you delivered :) great fight champ !
I've had fights where this was the norm for almost every round. You find every advantage you can. Legal and tactical.
Wtf is 60kmph hits lmao

I have boxed my whole life and today work as a coach. Anyone should be proud if they walk in the ring and you did well Mr Mike. Keep it up keep it going!
I'm just glad that someone finally managed to mess iDubbbz up and I'm glad it was one of the most humble and most amazing people on YT these day. Thank you for this, Mike.
Dr Mike has so much going for him. He's an actual doctor, he's good looking and fit, he's actually good at boxing. I think it was just easier to boo someone who's too perfect and root for the underdog
Pretty crazy how Ian held his own knowing doctor Mike has 10 years of boxing experience.
Fr
Casual remember. At most he'd know the basics and that's it really, he wouldn't develop the skills more than that. Just make sure understand the basics to a decent level. But yes that still really impressive ngl
He trained on and off for ten years. He wasn’t actively competing. Theres a huge difference

They know because of what they see, but the mentality and physical aspects of preparing for a fight is like nothing that can be explained. I'm glad it was a great experience for you! Looking pretty fresh with that new haircut, BTW :-)
There are no villians in that fight. You are a great fighter and a huge inspiration to everyone including me. Keep up the grind and the good work Dr. Mike!!

@@nirmalroychoudhury9550 yeah for making weight. You think ian can carry that weight regularly or did he have to look like a dadbod to reach that weight.

I hate that boxing is so intertwined with ego. i loved that this event strayed away from that aspect HEAVILY. Just love and respect all around. Can't wait for Creator Clash 2!
It is really unfair how people become desperate to find the littlest material to hate someone because they are bias towards that person. It is so unfair!
If I was iDubbbz, I would have just brought an apple to the fight.

nice lol
Nothing but respect for you, Ian and everyone who was part of this event! It was SO fun to watch and I can't wait to see who you go up against next!
the boxing was great and the cause was great, however the fact that people are getting upset over a boxing event with no real beef or hate, and turning a fun event for charity into a shitty excuse for cheating is gross.
Well, boxing is violent soooo........ yep!
How is that relevant to anything he just said?
@John Doe Now that's just being rude towards the boxing/mma crowd. I think it's more just the internet doing internet things and being stupid again. Mindlessly hungry for drama and looking for someone to "cancel" so they can feel better about themselves.
@@justinmiller4046 "Violence for the sake of violence is a horrible degrading thing"
I'd agree with you in this one.

Before saying anything I just want to say that I think the "I'm" was a miss input and we are all humans who fallible so all minor mistakes are forgiven. To continue with my argument I'm just gonna say that you made a contradiction. If you say something is "unintelligent and little brow" and then explain that you would need intelligence(thinking, planning, strategy) it would pretty much invalidate your point of it being unintelligent. Bonus: you need to learn a lot about diet if you wanna be like the professionals.
Anyway I had fun writing this and I hope you find something in it. Have a good day :)

Excellent points even boxers/MMA with decades of experience sometimes make wrong bad decisions in the ring and end up getting DQ'd.
Do not worry, Mike, the people calling you out as a “villain” do not know ANYTHING about you, they are talking out of a place of anger and judgment, not of reason.
