Well, time to enjoy the new Grill, and hang the old Grill onto the Wall, haha.
Today I learned that you don't have to separate the two pieces to install the grille. I put my broken ones back together with krazy glue. Boom and done. No more wiggles.

I have this kidney grill too on my black 2003' E39. I think it looks the best with every color. Did you do something with your headlights ? Because those rings are just on point. They shine very bright even in sunset.
Kennan was running simple 5w 6,000k LED halo bulbs from Ebay, they're very affordable and easy to install! Not a ton brighter than the stock yellow ones, but having them in white really modernizes the look of the car from the front.
Hello! I run Ziza H8 Super White foglight bulbs on my car. You can get them anywhere that sells automotive light bulbs such as PowerBulbs or ECS or somewhere like that; they cost in the neighborhood of $25. I hope that helps! -Kennan

We have a slate green E39 (I love the color)... the blue...... soooooooooooooo nice!!!!
i personally like the pre-facelift grills. the OEM grills on mine ('99 540i) have chrome just on the front edge and black on the sides.

I know. I have those LED bulbs too but I think mine are 5,000k and they dont look as good as yours.

The M5 grill has chromed front fins and a significantly wider bezel (compared to the pre-lift standard 5er grilles.)

The facelift grills all have the wider chrome bezel, but still only the M5-specific ones have the front of the slats chromed as well.
