I literally last heard this back in 2005-2006 and have wondered from time-to-time at since. The fact that I am working on digitizing my journaling from that time and found the title as "Final Fantasy (Black Tarot Mix)" and it led me to find it here is such a beautiful nostalgic gem. Thank you to all who brought this into existence.
I love it when OC ReMix takes a song and, when they remix it, they start out with the original track, letting you know what the song is right from the get-go, but then they change it on you suddenly, letting you know that yes, this is your song, but it's not the song you once knew. It has become something more, something that will not be denied or ignored. Something that you cannot turn back from once you start listening to it. That is how you make things better than the already epic.
Once the goosebumps started they never stopped.... this has ALWAYS been one of my all time favorite FF themes, and hearing it done on electric guitar just stole my breath away...

It took me a while to getting around to finding a good version of Terra's theme and when I finally did...I couldn't help but think that I'd already heard this somewhere before. After some sleuthing through my files I found it, Terra in Black but it was accredited to the Black Mages. My first thought was "WHAT!?! I listen to several of their songs on a regular basis and someone snuck an OCRemix song into the mix...and I didn't notice?" Says a whole lot about the quality, don't you think?
