- Fighter jets arrive in Australia for Exercise Pitch Black 24. JAS-39 Gripen D fighter jets from Thailand, F-35s and AV-8B Harriers from Italy, F-2s and an E-767 from Japan, F-16 Fighting Falcons from Indonesia and Singapore, and a venerable C-130H Hercules from Singapore.

They are navy planes, not the air force. They are embarked on the Italian STOVL aircraft carrier. They are gradually being replaced by the F35B.

It's JAS 39C from the Royal Thai Airforce, not 39D. 39D is the two seater.

As an ex Australian Army officer, I am absolutely outraged at the images in this great video of the Australian flag being flown on the outer edge with the Aboriginal flag and the other bluish one. We have laws stating our flag must be flown in the centre and higher then all other flags. I’m guessing the woke NT govern,ent is behind this insult.

advance fighters are handicapped by extra rules of engagement so that lesser level fighters can engage. i'm assuming that the F22 is ladened with drop tanks during dogfighting so as to limit its capabilities. in real engagement, the F22 will engage beyond visual range so no dogfight will be needed. 🤣
