On the subject of the door slice vs breach, it does make a difference. Certain areas in the game has moments where one is better than the other. Most of the time, the way you can tell is by listening in behind the door if the enemies are preparing for you or not. If they aren't, slicing works best, if not, go loud. However, there are times where slicing helps in other ways. Take the mid point of the assault ship campaign where after reuniting, you guys are traveling through the white hallways to the bridge. Turrets are automatically on the side of the enemy, but they'll only activate if either attacked or if there's a loud bang like a door breach. In those cases, slicing helps avoid more enemy fire and in a few cases, you can hack the turrets to work for you.
The recoil going up with AA and shotgun is actually artificially set. The reason why it only happens sometimes is due to how the game calculates the "randomness" of it. Formula being: RandomKick.Pitch = 2 * WeaponKick.Pitch * (FRand()-0.5f); Where WeaponKick.Pitch is 2000 for shotgun and 4000 for AA respectively. FRand() returns a random value between 0.0 and 1.0 This also happens sometimes with sniper rifle as well as its set to 2500. All other guns have a WeaponKick of arround ~200
One thing I will always respect this game for is making me FEEL like I was right there behind that visor. And everytime I saw one of Delta Squad in a tight spot I would rush to help them as though they were my ACTUAL Flesh and Blood.
Honestly, the longer I've been doing these videos, the less I feel comfortable with endlessly complaining and bitching about these products (just go with me, this does relate to what you said) - I find myself, pretty often, exhausted with a project I'm working on, and just want it to be done near the end. I distinctly remember, near the end of the Top 25 video, thinking "fucking who gives a shit, I'm just gonna let the Breath of the Wild footage play, who cares if the video matches up or not". Obviously I pushed through, but I can't IMAGINE how grueling it must be to work on a game for 1-3 years straight and be that close to being done with it finally. Is the ending bad? Yeah. Is the Kashyyyk stuff a slog? Yes as well, but these devs and publishers/everyone involved are human. The thought of having to go back and re-write something when I'm already in the video editing phase is fucking DAUNTING, so I can't imagine how soul-crushing it may have been to go back and adjust a lot of stuff to get it right, especially given that video game creation is exponentially more complex and tedious than fucking making a youtube video. Basically what I'm saying is - I kind of get it, but they likely did, too. I really don't think they were thinking "oh shit, I love how long you're in Kashyyyk" or "man this ending feels so satisfying" or anything, they likely ran out of steam, ran out of budget, ran out of time. One of the three, or maybe all. It's a shame, of course, and definitely worth mentioning, but I can't help but sympathize with them. Just my train of thought going wild there lol
I agree that you shouldn't force yourself to make videos that the all knowing algorithm demands, because it will consume all your energy, eat you up and spit you back out a burnt out and jaded husk. Keep up the great work you dork!
Jaded is a good word for it. Certain things that I rolled my eyes at in December I ate up this month. Same thing when watching The Mandalorian. I tried to watch it a long time ago when I wasn't in a Star Wars mood and wrote it off. Now that I'm IN a Star Wars mood, it's dope as all hell.
The part about our brothers being capable fighters, able to stand their ground without our constant management really hit a cord with me. I remember feeling extremely frustrated at the first two Harry Potter games, especially the first one, where as Harry we had to do everything and our friends abandoned us or were completely useless for one reason or another. In Commando, I love the brotherhood the four commandos have, and recall fondly feeling this bond form and flourish when playing it the first time. As someone who's an only child, this game spoke to me on a different level and I relished fighting and pushing on alongside my "brothers". It's saddening to think how they'll likely never revisit this story, and be left with the cliffhanger.
I will say that the Prequel music has a conquest feel, like you're right in the battle, fighting against clones, droids, jedi, or whatever the hell you want to feel. What I also like is how Naboo Escape/Pod Race from the Phantom Menace shifts to the vocals for Vode An, fusing both the prequels music and the glory of the Mandolorian/Clones. This. Game. Is. Epic.
This game truly is amazing. I used to play it on my original Xbox as a kid and thought it was something special. Though nobody really knew about it too much since it was an Xbox exclusive. In the past 4 years though I've been seeing this game get a resurrection due to it being remembered fondly as one of the peak star wars games and TH-camrs making reviews and reminiscing on it. Glad to see that being the case I'd like a seqeual/remaster/anything made in this type of tone and made well.
I've watched this review. And your Dying Light review. I can't understand how you have less than 10k subs with how much effort you're putting in. The longevity is such a plus for me. Thanks for making some good entertaining content bud.
The ending Acapella killed me, glad to see you enjoying making your content. Very nostalgic game I remember playing this at my friend's house since he had an Xbox .
I loved this game way back when it was originally released. While watching your video, I was reminded of how the recent Guardians of the Galaxy game handled squad commands and while nowhere near as militaristically-focused (it is the Guardians, after all), there is some shared or at least similar DNA there. While I've never found another game quite like Republic Commando, you might enjoy that one. It also has a great story well told, so there's more to it than just similar play mechanics.
He wasn’t in trouble. Nothing happened to him, if you use your sniper and zoom in to the left when he’s calling for help, you can see him on the turret in the distance, it was fake so he could join the revels
Well, it is canon also because in Season 3 Episode 13 of The Clone Wars titled 'Monster' Savage Opress kills a Jedi Knight, his padawan, and several clones. Then in Episode 14 of Season 3, the body is brought to the Jedi on Kamino by none other than Delta Squad itself. Thanks Filoni.
That's not how this works. Delta Squad itself is canon. The game is not. In the same way that, for example, Thrawn is canon, but his original novels aren't. *That being said,* I don't see any particular reason the game couldn't be canon, as I don't think there are really any major points that contradict current canon, but I'm not the one who makes those decisions.
I really enjoy your videos dude. I’ve been churning through all your Star Wars content and plan on going through your other stuff when I’m finished. Keep up the good work!
15:41 Slicing the door is useful on the Prosecutor because it does not activate the turrets upside the floor. They won´t fire on you. Saves a lot of ammo for the bridge. There is even a dialog suggesting to be quiet on certain doors.
One of the best games of all time. It's only kind of true that breach/slice doesnt matter most of the time... there are quite a few notable exceptions, but they're mostly noticeable on subsequent playthroughs. Slicing usually prevents autoturrets from activating. This is particularly important on the prosecutor when you are moving through the hallways to the room with the jamming device. Squadmates make some comments to hint at this. Also on kamino there's an ambush that you can slice into the door and battle droids won't activate. In several other cases, comments are made along the lines of "we could drop a grenade in the middle if their party" or "they know we're coming. Let's do this hard and loud". That generally means that breaching is a good idea, since usually you get a nade dropped on a strong enemy.
To be honest when sev calls for help if you use your sniper and look to the left, you can see him in the distance he’s still on his turret a lot of people never notice it since the turrets are in one big circle
A modern remake of the game would be so amazing and probably super popular nowadays. More in-depth mechanics and maybe leveling up your squad, improving their abilities without taking away their speciality. Seeing more levels, missions from the books and even some Order 66 and Empire stuff would be wonderful, or huge battles with countless droids, clones and jedi battling it out at the same times in the background. As a kid I always loved the first Geonosis section, it felt like they dropped you right in the middle of a battlezone, blasterfire everywhere, vehicles in the background... But imo the story doesn't work that well with Disney canon anymore. EU Clone Wars were gritty as hell, a well-written war drama wouldn't be in tone with the more light-hearted fun TCW stuff. The inhibitor chips are a silly idea imo, while Republic Commando set up a scenario where the clones started to question the Jedi and how they valued human lives for abandoning Sev right there. That was an amazing setup for future conflict with Jedi you have to kill during Order 66. God I'm creaming myself just thinking about RC style missions where you have to follow Lord Vader during one of them, and he obliterates everything as an NPC, or where you have to hunt a Jedi, maybe morally questionable "No Russian" stuff where you find younglings. That could be so amazing.
Delta Squad had one ONE 20 second scene in the clone wars, and SPOILOOR ahead, scroch in mount doom, why? how? HOW DID SCORCH GET THERE? and what was the aftermath of kashyyk?
I played it for the first time this week, just finished a few hours ago. My only two issues are; 1. Bullet sponge enemies instead of smart AI enemies who use cover to account for lower health. Obviously this is completely understandable, the game is ancient, but if they remaster they should consider this. 2. AI path-finding, especially squad-mates.
#1 Kind of makes sense, most of your adversaries are robots that are usually depicted as being kinda stupid. #2 Is probably because the computer sometimes gets confused. The clones' movement and actions are probably heavily based on what the computer thinks you'd be doing but when you're not it hangs up. It can't read minds. (I only have a basic knowledge of programming.)
I've never experienced any of these bugs on PC back in the day or on the ps4 port. The only thing I ever had an issue with was team mates occasionally getting stuck on architecture and it being a pain or impossible to get them unstuck. That's over probably 20 clears because this was my all time favorite game back in the day. Sucks you had to deal with so many bugs, that can definitely take away from the experience
I just realized something about Star Wars while watching this gameplay: These troopers have no way of know which one of them is speaking. Sure they may have wireless transmitted audio, but there are going to be situations when you need to know who is speaking. And then the fact that they're all clones means they have the same voice.
Dave Filoni loves to pretend he loves legends but in reality he is the one that led to its destruction. TCW destroyed that continuity to the point where it was just unsalvageable unless the show was taken out of the timeline completely.
22:37 thanks, I think you're the first guy that reviews this game who addresses this. I always found it weird why we are introduced with the squads specialties but they never show. In my opinion the game would have been a lot more fun and a lot harder if the squad had to rely on those specialties. For instance: if a door needs slicing the priority lies on fixer and his slicing goes quicker or maybe when he's incapacitated the squad cannot advance unless Fixer is back up. It would add even more to the importance of your squad. Also for the ending. My theory is that the reason they were ordered to evac is because commandos weren't made for full scale battles. Like with the battle on Geonosis a lot of commandos were lost. So the jedi council didn't want to make the same mistake and ordered them to get out before the battle of Kashyyyk happened.
I always found it interesting that most of the clone commandos all have different voices and accents from the Kiwi accent of the regs. Did someone else train them? Did the Kaminoans screw up and three of them have speech impediments? Bad Batch was over a decade away at this point so they probably aren't mutants.
“To think Disney swept this all away.” Nah fam, Dave Filoni nuked the Republic Commando series from orbit. Brain chips, way more personality in regs (the average clone in CW is basically a normal person, Travis and many others established them as being almost persona-less, but ARCs and Commandos did usually have personalities), the _ENTIRETY_ of Mandalore, and more. Karen actually quit writing for Star Wars after just about everything she’d ever written for them was decanonized by default (if Lucas or Clone Wars said something that was canon, end of discussion).
Yeah, the brain chip thing was stupid, there was a book for episode III that said the jedi were surprised by order 66 because the clones didnt act out of malice or with hate, but because of their conditioning. TCW was a bad show for clones, who mostly seemed to be kinda stupid and not very good at war. Karen Traviss' books were great, with the mando military slang and the way she portrayed the clone psyche.
I kinda agree, but I also kinda don't. It's nice that they're canon, but they aren't represented close enough to how they were in this game for my liking, meaning that there isn't an opportunity to try anymore, the canon is how they are in Clone Wars.
I've just started playing this game on my laptop. Plays alright on it. I really enjoy what I've played. I really hope we get a remake of this game that is canon. I feel like it would be pretty easy to make. You can take what happened in the original, tweak it to fit in to a Clone Wars show style, and boom easy $60 game for Disney to sell
Hey Dorkaxe, I would absolutely LOVE to see an in-depth Dead Space 1 review, especially with the remake coming out next year. I love how well you analyse games and I think you'd really enjoy the playthrough (that is if you haven't already played it).
Awwww no singing?? LAAAMMME :P....wait it came in on the end YAYYYY xD Seriously though this as always is a very well done in-depth review. I always love how you not only call out what could be better but you also come with ideas they could have done, we need you to get working at a gaming company! Sad it ended in a not great way but glad overall it was a good game, look forward to your next video! :)
To your point at 25:35 with them not using other weapons, very rarely do each of the commandos use their designated weapon freely. I’ve seen scorch switch to his grenade launcher to fire one shot then convert back to his regular blaster as if it never happened. Same goes with Sev and his sniper. It’s very rare and it could be a thing for the Xbox port of the game but I agree it should happen more often
I remember playing this for the first time a couple years after it came out. I have since played it over a dozen more time including a recent one day playthrough about a month ago.
This is the first piece of entertainment, that showed me Storm Troopers could actually be a threat. The movies and Books, always have them being canon fodder. However this amazing game let you control a Spec Ops team of Storm Troopers!
I know I'm a year late, but I browsed the comment section and didn't see anything on it: The Bowcaster will charge a shot if you press and hold the trigger. At full power, it consumes 3 ammo per shot, deals significantly more damage than the regular shot, and most importantly: can pin enemies to surfaces.
Good review, i watch your other stuff too though, and I am excited for other reviews of other games not just star wars. The republic commando squad also showed up as an easter egg kind of in an older episode of clone wars you could look it up on TH-cam i think I know why you didn't mention the multiplayer but you know- as a fan of it back in the day a review isn't 100% complete without atleast acknowledging its existence imo. Kind of sad that there aren't any real copycats of the game either, it is truly unique nothing else is quite like it.
I saw the episode, but it didn't feel like the real Republic Commando squad, just commandos in general. Anything to make them canon I guess. Would the video have really been better if I had said "there was a multiplayer mode as well, and you can dick around with your friends in it"? I'm not so sure. I get where you're coming from, I just don't know if I could have really said much about it.
I would love to see this game be remade with improved mechanics, better graphics, and for the story to be cannon. I feel like it would be fairly easy to do, take the original missions and fit it into a clone wars show style and boom fun game
There really aren’t enough people like you reviewing what’s now considered “older” games. I guess my generation, who was the target audience for these games, is just now getting to the point of looking fondly back at these games. I love your channel, and keep it up! 1996-2010 were the golden years of games in my opinion. But it’s pretty weird how you apologize for being xenophobic about made up aliens in fake universe in Video game about a sci-fi movie. The 2020’s have done a real number on you haven’t they?
My guy, it's a joke because xenophobic usually relates to foreign people, i.e. people in other countries. The joke is literally that they are REAL aliens, i.e. from another planet, thus the xenophobic joke. It seems like you're all on board for my opinions until they talk about something you really hate, that being something cultural/societal. Like, my guy, games are art. I can talk about the mechanics up and down, but completely ignoring the visual/audio, themes, or any personal feelings I have on them is shunning the very idea that games can be anything more than a toy.
@@Dorkaxe I guess that sound I heard was the joke sailing over my head then huh? I don’t care that much dude, I still like your videos and will keep watching. I legitimately didn’t realize that was a joke, but aight. Thought you were being overly OVERLY sensitive. Like people who think thanksgiving is the devils holiday and everyone who celebrates it is literally geonocidal You were just talking about how you’d be uncomfortable if they were soldiers talking/joking about actual dead people but instead it’s aliens, like i get it. It’s just a game , you’ve made other such comments like the dead rising video, critiquing weird aspects of a game that’s mainly geared toward a male teenage target audience. But whatever maybe I’m reading too much into it
I just got the remaster on ps5 for $14.99 yesterday. Considering this remaster is my first time playing it, I absolutely love it. Or kinda reminds me of halo, especially with the graphics, but I still love it! I can see why it’s considered one of the BEST Star Wars games!
Ive watched most of the "good" reviews for this lost gem of a game, this ones the best. You should always include the voice actors(if the games audio is HALF as good as this one's)
I don't know if I have enough knowledge or experience in beat 'em ups to provide an interesting Streets of Rage series review. Good games though, I love 2 and 4 a lot!
Actually they would not. Your voice depends on your environment, not genetics. If someone clones you and raises that clone in a different country, that clone will not sound like you. It will sound like the country it was raised in.
@@GP.Records The accent would be different, but they literally have the exact same lungs, vocal cords, tongues, lips, and throats. The casual speaking pitch should be the same.
I feel more in the middle when it comes to the strictness of Star wars adaptations. On the one hand, your points mirror mine, but on the other hand, i feel the limitations can end up having people think outside of the box. Say what you will about MCU, but while the things they need to keep the same makes it feel, keyword "Feel", formulaic, that same limitation allows directors to be more experimental with how the story is told (some good like GOTG and Wandavision, and some for the worse like she hulk). Same goes with Star wars. While the amazing world building does make it tempting to push how the world is interpreted such as what this game does, by limiting what can be changed, it makes creators think of how to best use whats given to you in the most amazing way possible (Clone Wars and Rouge one). Though again, games and media like this game show that having more freedom can also achieve similar results. Side note, Im glad this is getting more attention. And now with the commandos being canon to this universe, maybe we might see a RC remastered/remake or even the canceled sequel.
I'm pretty sure delta squad retrieved a fallen jedi masters' body in the 5th or 6th season of the clone wars. I know that doesn't canonize the events of the game, but it might as well at that point.
The bowcaster was definitely a bit of a disappointment, even a charged shot barely felt like it did anything, especially taking into account the ammo consumption.
I disliked endless spawn mechanics for enemies. In a case such as the window on Geonosis it makes sense that there's a number of enemies outside so high you wouldn't notice the difference, but where it gets annoying is those landing pods for droids which look like they can realistically hold 3 Super Battledroids & no more. It would've made more sense were it possible to exhaust a landing pod.
I agree. Considering my stance on remakes in the past, it says something that I'd more than welcome a full-remake for this game. If KOTR can get one, why not RepCom? My caveat being that they don't remove the original from digital storefronts. Highly doubtful it would ever happen, but I can dream.
@@Dorkaxe I looked through your channel and every single other video you made about a Star Wars game had the word “Star Wars” in the title so I thought this video title was a bit of a inconsistency 👍
eat video, only mistake I see is at the end about Yoda saying for everyone to join in for the fight. That's not for Delta, it's a rallying cry for the wookies and a speech for the troops. Delta was just being filled in on current events. That still doesnt change the fact that you should've gone for Sev, or at least the game alluding to you going after Sev
I did, to an extent, but I wanted to see how it played with a controller, since that's what it was designed around. My Xbox version was very jumpy and all over the place, plus with it not being as pretty to look at, I opted for the portable version of the game. If I had an xbox newer than the 360, I'd have likely opted for the Xbox version of the OG game, since I hear that's the way to go.
I think alot of the technical issues and bugs boil down to the port of the game. I played the pc port and I never had any of these issues asside from the rare audio bug once or twice.
@Dorkaxe thats fair. I really wish some devs would put more effort into porting older games. I remember playing force unleashed on steam and there were so many moments where the audio was nonexistent, and the game crashed randomly.
I had to re-do a section due to copyright claim, which isn't a big deal, however it wasn't the part I was worried about. Apart from the katarn games this was for sure my favorite story based Star Wars game
Also the books by Karen Travis were incredible
Yeah, the Jedi Knight series is my favorite
Yeah Kashyyk REALLY drags on. I think the ending may also suffer from that eternal classic of either rushed development or end year crunch.

Discovered your channel a couple days ago. Absolutely love your stuff now. Cheers!
Delta (minus Sev) did go on to serve as Imperial Commandos in the book Imperial Commandos: 501st
sometimes they shoot without you commanding it with the grenade launcher or Sinper but that's rare
Happens most often if they are set to "search and destroy"
I could have sworn I remembered scorch breaking out the grenade launcher on his own multiple times. Thanks for confirming haha
Delta Squad had one ONE 20 second scene in the clone wars, and SPOILOOR ahead, scroch in mount doom, why? how? HOW DID SCORCH GET THERE? and what was the aftermath of kashyyk?
I played it for the first time this week, just finished a few hours ago. My only two issues are;
24:57 sev does use sniper rounds when he feels, and scorch can use anti-armor rounds. It's just rare
At least I think that happens
I personally now play this game on PC with a mod that allows 1080p and FOV Slider
PC version is top tier, unless the Series Xbox version is as good, I didn't get to test that one.
Just want to make a quick shout out: the voice actor of Sev was also the Clone Officer in Battlefront ll 2005.
I just realized something about Star Wars while watching this gameplay: These troopers have no way of know which one of them is speaking. Sure they may have wireless transmitted audio, but there are going to be situations when you need to know who is speaking. And then the fact that they're all clones means they have the same voice.
You can see that there icon on the hud is blinking when they talk
Dave Filoni loves to pretend he loves legends but in reality he is the one that led to its destruction. TCW destroyed that continuity to the point where it was just unsalvageable unless the show was taken out of the timeline completely.
Yeah he’s a hack.
Its likely just stylistic choice. But in lore the commandos were trained by the Cuy’val Dar a group of 100 training sergeants (75 mando, 25 other)
“To think Disney swept this all away.”
Nah fam, Dave Filoni nuked the Republic Commando series from orbit.
Delta did actually make a short appearance in clone wars so the squad is definitely canon
Squad is, but this game isn't. Kinda like how Bane is canon, but his books aren't.
@@Dorkaxe its better than them not being canon at all. Would love to see them again in Bad Batch
I kinda agree, but I also kinda don't. It's nice that they're canon, but they aren't represented close enough to how they were in this game for my liking, meaning that there isn't an opportunity to try anymore, the canon is how they are in Clone Wars.
2:12 oh boy. Funny how he was calling it “assper” before we gave them that name
I love you Doraxe!
🖤💕🖤
I've just started playing this game on my laptop. Plays alright on it. I really enjoy what I've played. I really hope we get a remake of this game that is canon. I feel like it would be pretty easy to make. You can take what happened in the original, tweak it to fit in to a Clone Wars show style, and boom easy $60 game for Disney to sell
Sounds awful
No not clone wars style I preferred the movie acute style
Hey Dorkaxe, I would absolutely LOVE to see an in-depth Dead Space 1 review, especially with the remake coming out next year. I love how well you analyse games and I think you'd really enjoy the playthrough (that is if you haven't already played it).
8:32
*please stand for the expanded universe fans national anthem*
Awwww no singing?? LAAAMMME :P....wait it came in on the end YAYYYY xD
Seriously though this as always is a very well done in-depth review.
I always love how you not only call out what could be better but you also come with ideas they could have done, we need you to get working at a gaming company!
Sad it ended in a not great way but glad overall it was a good game, look forward to your next video! :)
Thank you! 😄Glad someone saw it near the end there lmao
Great video man, as always. I actually had a feeling this would be Republic Commando, played this so much as a kid. Excellent work mate.
I think I’m late but the wookie bowcaster if you hold the fire button charges a powerful shot. Great video sir
39:34... I really liked your Stubs the Zombie review :3 .
I like the presentation and voice cadence, ready for that bulk bf2017 vid from that teaser as well
I remember playing this for the first time a couple years after it came out. I have since played it over a dozen more time including a recent one day playthrough about a month ago.
02:50 lol the same glitch was also on PC well atleast I had it on my old spec laptop at the time still running on Winows 7
This game is one of my favorite Star Wars games. 1. Star Wars battlefront 2 (2005)
2. Republic commando
3. Star Wars episode 3 revenge of the sith
Seeing that clip of battlefront 2 2017 gave me ptsd for a second there. How dare you sir!
This is the first piece of entertainment, that showed me Storm Troopers could actually be a threat. The movies and Books, always have them being canon fodder. However this amazing game let you control a Spec Ops team of Storm Troopers!
Clones not storm troopers
Such an amazing game and such an amazing review. I love your channel.
I know I'm a year late, but I browsed the comment section and didn't see anything on it:
The Bowcaster will charge a shot if you press and hold the trigger. At full power, it consumes 3 ammo per shot, deals significantly more damage than the regular shot, and most importantly: can pin enemies to surfaces.
Republic Commando: Making battle droids actually scary since 2005.
Good review, i watch your other stuff too though, and I am excited for other reviews of other games not just star wars.
The republic commando squad also showed up as an easter egg kind of in an older episode of clone wars you could look it up on TH-cam i think
I know why you didn't mention the multiplayer but you know- as a fan of it back in the day a review isn't 100% complete without atleast acknowledging its existence imo.
Like people who think thanksgiving is the devils holiday and everyone who celebrates it is literally geonocidal
You were just talking about how you’d be uncomfortable if they were soldiers talking/joking about actual dead people but instead it’s aliens, like i get it. It’s just a game , you’ve made other such comments like the dead rising video, critiquing weird aspects of a game that’s mainly geared toward a male teenage target audience. But whatever maybe I’m reading too much into it
@@ViktoriousDead It's all good dude, no worries.
I just got the remaster on ps5 for $14.99 yesterday. Considering this remaster is my first time playing it, I absolutely love it. Or kinda reminds me of halo, especially with the graphics, but I still love it! I can see why it’s considered one of the BEST Star Wars games!
This and starwars episode 3 (the game) are just great
As a non-Cal Cestis fan, imagine how awesome an Imperial Command made by Respawn would be.
Imperial Commando pls, thank you, 60 dollars here you go
Ive watched most of the "good" reviews for this lost gem of a game, this ones the best. You should always include the voice actors(if the games audio is HALF as good as this one's)
Yay another star wars review, also have you considered a streets of rage retrospective
I don't know if I have enough knowledge or experience in beat 'em ups to provide an interesting Streets of Rage series review. Good games though, I love 2 and 4 a lot!
You did my favourite SW game. I will certainly enjoy this :)
This game is a hidden gem it’s such a shame we never got a sequel
All of delta squad are technically canon as they make one single appearance in an opening scene in one episode of the Clone Wars.
11:59 Sounds almost like Halo 5 to me.
I haven't played it. Worth it for the campaign or nah? I've played 1-Reach, but haven't gotten to 4 yet.
Same director IIRC actually
I totally understand why they gave the teammates different voices, but I am obligated to point out that clones would all sound the same.
You're just envious of Sev's voice actor's incredible voice.
i always chalked that to the clones picking up on their own accents subtleties
Actually they would not. Your voice depends on your environment, not genetics. If someone clones you and raises that clone in a different country, that clone will not sound like you. It will sound like the country it was raised in.
@@GP.Records The accent would be different, but they literally have the exact same lungs, vocal cords, tongues, lips, and throats. The casual speaking pitch should be the same.
You got my thumbs up from mentioning Travvis books.
great video!! 👏
Imperial Commando, BF3, KOTOR 3, Imperial Firat Assault and 1313 would've been great Star Wars if they hadn't gotten canceled
My fav star wars game of all time. Even beats out battlefront 2.
It is an excellent game 🎉
Great video
I'm pretty sure delta squad retrieved a fallen jedi masters' body in the 5th or 6th season of the clone wars. I know that doesn't canonize the events of the game, but it might as well at that point.
Delta squad is still cannon they come out for a bit on the clone wars show
Indeed!! 🎉
Thanks for the vid
The art style kinda reminds me of Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars. Especially the Super Battledroids.
The bowcaster was definitely a bit of a disappointment, even a charged shot barely felt like it did anything, especially taking into account the ammo consumption.
Will you ever do a retrospective of the Jedi knight series ??? That would be great.
You earned a sub.
They need more FPS where you get competent NPC allies
They game shoukd have gotten a remaster instead of a simple port
I agree. Considering my stance on remakes in the past, it says something that I'd more than welcome a full-remake for this game. If KOTR can get one, why not RepCom? My caveat being that they don't remove the original from digital storefronts. Highly doubtful it would ever happen, but I can dream.
I played this game like 5-6 times and never experienced any bug
On my xbox it ran well but id recommend the pc port for the bedt graphics also this game deserves a remaster
i think you should do a review on battlefront 2017, to complete the quadrilogy
That's not a bad idea
Eyyyyyyyyyyyy good shit
Sooooo TMNT meets Star Wars and it’s awesome? Count me in.
Seems like those AI problems are also port issues, I've never had it on the old PC version
Damn you Aspyr!
I love this game
Your version has so much more color than the gog version
Will you be making a dying light 2 review ?
Maybe someday.
You should really put Star Wars in the title for the search terms to work better on TH-cam’s end for helping reccomend this video to more viewers
might as well see if it helps
@@Dorkaxe I looked through your channel and every single other video you made about a Star Wars game had the word “Star Wars” in the title so I thought this video title was a bit of a inconsistency 👍
eat video, only mistake I see is at the end about Yoda saying for everyone to join in for the fight. That's not for Delta, it's a rallying cry for the wookies and a speech for the troops. Delta was just being filled in on current events.
That still doesnt change the fact that you should've gone for Sev, or at least the game alluding to you going after Sev
Why didn't you play on PC?
I did, to an extent, but I wanted to see how it played with a controller, since that's what it was designed around. My Xbox version was very jumpy and all over the place, plus with it not being as pretty to look at, I opted for the portable version of the game. If I had an xbox newer than the 360, I'd have likely opted for the Xbox version of the OG game, since I hear that's the way to go.
@@Dorkaxe it's a shame the pc version never got proper controller support
I think alot of the technical issues and bugs boil down to the port of the game. I played the pc port and I never had any of these issues asside from the rare audio bug once or twice.
I basically say as much, all of the technical issues are all the fault of Aspyr as far as I'm concerned.
@Dorkaxe
thats fair. I really wish some devs would put more effort into porting older games. I remember playing force unleashed on steam and there were so many moments where the audio was nonexistent, and the game crashed randomly.
The PS4 port works fine too
