That's awesome. Fortunately I can still walk with crutches. But I don't walk far or stand for long. But a chair is exhausting. An attachment like that is genius.
I’m a paralyzed manual wheelchair user for about 18 1/2 years now and I tried an add on motor at an abilities expo. The one I tried was the smartdrive that is just a motor and a wheel that attaches on the back/underside of the chair and you control it with what looks like a Fitbit on your wrist and you tap your wheel specific ways to make it go, keep it at a certain speed, and stop it. This was a handful of years ago, but I was already a manual chair user for I’d say 12 years at that point, so it felt so weird using a power chair. I used it the whole time I was at the expo. I don’t think it’s something I’d use day to day, but for traveling and outside exploring, I’d consider it. I’d hate to start depending on something like that too much when my upper body is completely able, then losing strength because of it!
Such freedom. It's difficult and scary at times to change your transpo, your security and your bodily support, but that looks great. I'm glad it comes off in parts, but most will still need another's help. I like it 👏👍
Omg I love this. My mother had an accident where she was a passenger in a truck that rolled down a hill when they pumped over because it was racing very hard and it laid slid off the side rolling her into a tree. She’s passed now. I miss her everyday. She was to sweetest kinda gullible but best person I know. I wish my beautiful mother was around to try this for her wheelchair. It would’ve helped her so much and she would’ve loved it. So happy it helps you and can help others. Also people please don’t park in handicap spots if you aren’t handicap or use someone else and park there for yourself. Have a blessed day everyone.
The person explaining seems so sweet🥹Anyway I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user and I have one of those electric wheelchair attachments and I must say that it has changed my life. That power assist is literally a life saver. It is so easy to use and saves so much energy. So indoor I just use my manual wheelchair and whenever I go out I just attach it!! Highly recommend it to those who have access to it❤️
I work in the city and on my drive there is a massive park. There is a wheelchair user there who drives the dirt paths using this attachment. Seeing him zip around on and off trails has been amazing. I love that this invention is getting more attention. I'll love to see all the possibilities it could open up for wheelchair users.
And over rough terrain or as mentioned in the video up inclines this would be an arm and back saver for sure. I've been considering my options for mobility aids for a while but all of them have downsides for me and manual wheelchairs are basically completely out of the running because part of my condition means my muscles fatigue quickly and one of my most frequent symptoms is back and shoulder pain so I'd never be able to propel myself far enough for a wheelchair to actually be able to extend my outings. But something like this would help significantly keep the smaller frame of a manual wheelchair and attach a propulsion system when needed that doesn't significantly add to the amount of space you need
This is brilliant! Where's this gem been hiding? There's loads of people who don't qualify for a powered wheelchair in the UK who could really do with something like this without needing a full on bloody scooter which you can't even keep in your flat anyway. Perfect!❤❤❤
🎉 that is amazing I know a lot of people who would love to have one of those I myself would love to have one of those those are so awesome we need more manufactured at a reasonable price for low-income families who are unable to afford items such as this machine that will help all disabled just got to be loving it
I recently switched from a manual chair to an electric one! Best decision I’ve ever made!!!! My hands are no longer sore, red and dirty every time I go out anymore! I would highly recommend either this type of attachment or an electric wheelchair. It also opens up the ability to go places you couldn’t before. I can now easily go on walk trails with friends without worrying about getting sore or tired and also the uneven terrain is the last thing on my mind.

That is an exceptional invention! I can only imagine how much of a pain in the ass mobility is for wheel chair bound folks.
Brilliant best invention in a long time, it gives a wheelchair user more freedom ❤
Fantastic use of technology. Minimal adaption of an existing platform. Great idea and execution. ❤
Amazing. Can be so so helpful to wheelchair bound people without help especially the more elderly.
That's awesome. Fortunately I can still walk with crutches. But I don't walk far or stand for long. But a chair is exhausting. An attachment like that is genius.
I have to admit, when I start feeling bad, which is on a daily basis, stories and people like these are so much more worse off and I respect you, thanks
That is such a cool invention. It makes a world of difference to the independence of wheelchair users!
I like it 👏👍
This is beyond fantastic! Every chair should have this...
My partner got a Batec Scrambler 2 recently and its brilliant - careful though because they are veeeeery tippable!
What I dislike about getting old is all the new amazing technology I'm going miss out on & not see. I love this ❤
The person explaining seems so sweet🥹Anyway I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user and I have one of those electric wheelchair attachments and I must say that it has changed my life. That power assist is literally a life saver. It is so easy to use and saves so much energy. So indoor I just use my manual wheelchair and whenever I go out I just attach it!! Highly recommend it to those who have access to it❤️
That's so cool!!! And the person helping you seems so kind! I love their voice!
He seems so lovely and encouraging!
This should be standard for people in wheel chairs. This makes things so much easier
He has an inventive mind and will make many people's do much better😅
That attachment looks super cute, & handy for going to shop. It looked a bit of fun as well.
What a genius.. this is wonderful.. this will help so many people
Absolutely amazing mad me smile so hard everyone deserves to be able to get around
I work in the city and on my drive there is a massive park. There is a wheelchair user there who drives the dirt paths using this attachment. Seeing him zip around on and off trails has been amazing.
I love that this invention is getting more attention. I'll love to see all the possibilities it could open up for wheelchair users.
Many people use a wheel chair but struggle with pushing it due to weak muscles in the arms. This attachment will help so many people . Great idea.
That was so nice of Alan Carr to let you try. ❤
Respect brother for letting sister have a go
That is so insanely clever and simple so good who ever made it props
So happy that people help each other with their skill and my mother 😔❤️ always said to love each others. Nice man ❤
This is brilliant! Where's this gem been hiding? There's loads of people who don't qualify for a powered wheelchair in the UK who could really do with something like this without needing a full on bloody scooter which you can't even keep in your flat anyway. Perfect!❤❤❤
Triride costs £4-5k though
That looks awesome.
Good creation. Will give some people more range 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻
Thats really cool!!! As a hospital worker, this would be amazing for some patients!
🎉 that is amazing I know a lot of people who would love to have one of those I myself would love to have one of those those are so awesome we need more manufactured at a reasonable price for low-income families who are unable to afford items such as this machine that will help all disabled just got to be loving it
This SO COOL!! U must be so happy!!🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
This is a game changer for those who can't fit a scooter in their vehicle. Mom would really benefit from this!
My aunt got one of these, total game changer on where/how/when she's able to go! Genius invention!
