    It's 50 years since I participated in these dances, it took me about 9 years with groups to perfect them.No doubt about it, participation lifts you to a different state of yourself.Since then,I grow in the Sufi path along with my students.And if you're into energy transfer for holy and healing purposes,nothing beats them

      If the words disturbs you, it is just the language that use "men" as universal therm for a human being. Talking for objective art btw and sacred dances, Gurdjieff originally got inspired with sacred dances in Hindukush monasteries while watching female priestess who practiced those. So no gender is superior or has any advantage in the work of self-remembarence.

      Female enlightened person are there but they are few like Meera,Daya in India,Rabia in Muslim,Even lalla , the naked fakir...They are few but never forget females always always seed them(knowledge, tradition) in a large number and carry forward them to next generation.You will be amazed they are tradition Christian,Muslims generally where it is believed that women can't be enlightened that's why if you remember apostatles asked Jesus(gospel of thomas) women can't reach to that height and he replied remember they too reach can to that height.

      Oh, c'mon!! Don't turn that into a fight of gender. This is above it all! Otherwise, some "dog protection association" will demand a "meetings with remarkable dogs", and Black, Gays, Cats, Russians and Americans, c'mon lol We are all humans!!!

      Recently I somehow came to listen to Armenian/Middle Eastern type music and fell in love with it.

    This is nonsense. There is never an objective effect with music . . . only an objective perception of it. There is no music that will always produce the same effect in everyone regardless of capacity. There is only an objective capacity to perceive an effect that is there . . .

    • @dedskinprodcerdj4273

      Omg , you totally miss the point , its an opening scene of the movie , a good one too, much better and smarter then Thor -Ragnarok , or Star Wars the force then nevers stops making movies . Its literally art , last strokes of it , as im told . the age of Kali Yuga , the decadence is here , post modern art like Hollywood and everything around it , is just give us the money you morons , we paid for these licences . the effect is objective , you can see it in the movie , you can debate is it music , is a tone music . If its not , then its not objective , if it is then it is objective . Not just for everyone , but for everything that is .

    • @ascetic_aesthetic
      @ascetic_aesthetic 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      an objective perception of it?
      No, perception by its very nature is subjective. That is why they search for an objective effect.

    • @Dennycrane2121

      Arbiter i think you disagree because you are listening to the music of it, i think it's about the sound, which is physical, the meaning of this performances is how vibrate a man can be using sound in this particular place/valley, objective art is a deeper representation of the maker , its his manifestation

    • @hostnik777
      @hostnik777 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Way to entirely miss the point because you approached this from your previous assumptions of meaning. You are exactly in the state of mind that Gurdjieff spent his life trying to shake people out of. I guess in your case, he objectively failed.
