    You turn the paper while you draw?
    Are you more comfortable going counter-clockwise?
    I prefer to go clockwise when I use the left.

      I'll rotate the page either way depending on which way is fastest.

    awesome! what brand of colored pencil do you use?

    • @MisterHen

      +colorpaper princess (colorpaperprincess) usually Prismacolor but I recommend experimenting with a variety to find what you like. Prismacolors has a quality I like for blending.

    you are left handed, so for right handed artist the motion goes in the opposite direction!

    how do you draw straight lines in a sketchbook?

    • @MisterHen
      @MisterHen  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Best thing you can do is rotate the book so the binding doesn't interfere with your drawing motion. When that's not possible you have to manage as best as you can. Alternately, you can practice on typing paper since you probably won't be keeping these pages for long.

    3 minutes and my lines are far more "straighter". Thank you!

    nice ... but i can draw better lines rather than that one you showed even without the hooks

    • @MisterHen
      @MisterHen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What hooks?

    • @trooperchick3610
      @trooperchick3610 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      the hook in the starting point .. if you do straight lines it would be better in a A3 sheet .. not in the A4 .. and you can give 0-1-0 level of pressure when you do it; through that you can avoid the hooks ..

    • @MisterHen
      @MisterHen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trooper Chick not sure I understand you. The size of the paper doesn't really affect the line at least not within the context of the lesson and I'm missing the hook at the starting points. I'm also unfamiliar with "0-1-0 level pressure" and wonder if that is common or relatable language for art students?
