My days in the army got out after 12 years, a buddy of mine while on TDY let our group use his Cadillac, he left for Afgan, god bless his soul. @@thenotsurechannel7630 A bit tipsy now, but 2-47 was on the other side of the small PX or was it 3-47? I went through here in 2007 right as they changed over the old big px to the new big PX. Alpha Company 3-47 here. May 13th to July 22nd 1999. Is it me or did this cadence change? It's supposed to be, " *this Army life just ain't my style...* they got me looking like Gomer Pyle." This new crap doesn't even rhyme.
@@jeanburgos3416 - of course I'll survive. And don't get me wrong I do have a sense of pride and fellowship of having been a part of the Army. I'm merely pointing out, musically, lyrically and rhythmically "this Army life is crazy" just doesn't lead into the next line, or even sounds like it fits. Label me a stickler, or call it an idiosyncrasy... but having a musical background, having heard it, it was like fingernails being scraped across a chalkboard. But, everything else in the video I liked.
I prefer "Uh oh, oh no. I've got to leave I've got to go. The Army life is not my style, they got me looking like gomer pyle". These cadences were kinda lame. Like a PC wizard appeared and changed the lyrics to my old favorites. And they don't rhyme as well
The old cadence songs were better and had more meaning. This right here is really corny. Why is a SgtMajor marching troops? That is for Sgt's, Staff Sergeants and Sergeant First Classes to do. Not a friggin Sergeant Major. SMH
