I prefer the GBA version for 6 reasons. 1: Luigi is not a palate swap. 2: The voices are nice. 3: You can take an extra hit from Fire Mario or Cape Mario. 4: Yoshi colors(once obtained) become regular depending on what you have I.E cape = best blue Yoshi. 5: It shows an intro and a secret cutscene if you get 100% 6: There is a scoreboard to track the dragon coins you have.

My first experience with this game was the game boy advanced port back when I was a wee boy. I did not get far though, stopping at the vanilla ghost house because back then I was easily spooked. Fast forward to my young teenage years where I became less easily spooked, resulting in playing that game and only stopping until I 100% the whole game. There were levels that really fucking annoyed me but I carried on, and I am glad to say that this definitely goes on my most favorite video games of all time. A masterpiece
Part of my early teen years. This and Mario 3 are my 2 favourite 2D mario games and 2 of my favourite games ever. Played the hell out of this when I first got a SNES when I was 11 and still enjoy it 21 years later. I also never end up getting all 96 exits

Super Mario World huh? I never made it past the forest boo house as a kid. But, about the playthrough, I'm actually happy about this. You know why? Johnny's Mario and Luigi voices. Always a treat.
Holy shit! I can actually hear the game's music and sound effects nice and clearly along with the commentary. The audio levels are nicely balanced too. The game audio is plenty audible without overwhelming or taking the listeners attention away from the commentary track. Am I dreaming? is this Bizarro TH-cam? I seriously hope this isn't a one off fluke or something because next to the status quo on this channel being videos where the game audio is practically silent this is a most welcome change.
Because I used to hack this game, I know quite a lot about it. 1. Hold "Up" when you press "Y" while on Yoshi, and he'll stick his tongue out without ducking. 2. There's a lot of unused content. First, Classic Piranha Plants, second, a "No Yoshi" sign, third, a single test level that has over 200 entrances to it, fourth, invisible 1-Up points, and flying Red Coins. 3. Luigi spits fireballs in the All-Stars port of Super Mario World, not unlike a Super Mario Bros. 3 Fire Bro. 4. Supposedly, in the bonus game at 9:53, if you hit all the blocks from the left with a Cape, they will always display circles. That is all... ...for now
I played this game on my Wii's VC and it was the very first game I downloaded. Tbh, the SNES is one of the best consoles made by Nintendo, although I never had experience playing on an actual SNES console but its library of games are a masterpiece. My dad used to have an SNES, but he sold it a long time ago and I was a baby, so I had no control over him in the 90's... D:

It was the frigging best. Shame how expensive another copy is online. Then again, most old games are ridiculously overpriced.

I just love everything about this game. To me, it has the best artstyle of any Mario game, I like Yoshi, and unlike the later titles, Super Mario World was truly unique in that it didn't follow the "formula". No Grass World, No Desert World, No Forest World, Or Ice World. Just good old fashioned creativity. New Super Mario Bros U was just a weak wannabe Super Mario World. It's a good game, but all it did was remind me that "Super Mario World did it better". Big interconnecting world map? Cool. Where's the exploration and multiple routes? oh wait, the "secret" levels were just glorified Warp Zones to other worlds, instead of what an actual "secret" route is supposed to be.
Oh yes! As a lot of people in here, this is my favorite mario game. I look forward it, and knowing the old Ryan, this is going to be fantastic. And Johnny, I want to hear your voices as Mario and Luigi. Maybe I should play this again, yes I will...

He barely said a word during the Cave Story playthrough, and he's pretty silent in Jak as well. He's spoken up more here though, I'm pretty sure by the sound of his voice at times during Cave Story he probably caught the PAX bug like Johnny did.

i never had a super nintendo i had a sega genesis but my cousin had a SNES with the Super Mario World game whenever i'd go to her house i'd play that and Mortal Kombat 2 and whenever she come over to my house she'd play sonic 2 and street fighter 2

He's just really energetic in the MM8 and 7 playthroughs. Eh, he's pretty consistent from what I can see.
