This Omni combines the old Agenda ohc with the core of the Days of Future Past ohc (Days of Future Present) along with additional material to fill the gap.
Well, if they push this back, we know for sure it's coming out this year since you have an early copy. Can't wait to keep the X collection growing. I'm hoping they combine Bishops Crossing/XCutioners Song like they did with this omni next.
I've been collecting X Men Omnis the past few years trying to complete the entire Claremont era! With this and the Mutant Massacre prelude, it's finally complete.
X-tinction Agenda was my first concrete real Xmen story i read as at 18 in 2002 as a kid we all had Xmen number 1, but not alot had anything after that. But picking up a random xmen issue as a kid was hard to understand because they were talking about this for a while, especially that Alex and Rhaine bond
Apparently, some of the OHCs were like stealth omnis. Before omnis really took off after covid, marvel had a tighter budget for how many omnis they could make, so many OHCs were omnis basically. Now they don't make OHCs and will just pump out omnis. I'm excited for this one. Hopefully, bishops crossing/x-cutioners song/shattershot will come next as one big omni. Hopefully things like phalanx covenant/legion quest, eve of destruction, the wedding etc will all come soon as omnis as well
They seem to be well on that path. I'm not sure how much they are going to combine events, though. They will probably keep them separate despite how small they are story wise, load it with extra filler.
@@nivekleveb8872 the issues preceding it aren't though. Phalanx ohc goes up to 316, the legionquest ohc has 317 - 321 & x men 38-41 AOA omni only has 320-321 & 40-41. Both ohcs were around 500 pages each, so to me it makes the most sense to merge them both into one, otherwise you orphan a couple of issues and I don't think reprinting both as 2 separate 500 page omnis is better. It would also be a weird cut off just before that story. As fatal attractions omni is mapped the same way as before, it would make sense for marvel to just reprint the ohcs again as omnis. That looks like what they're doing. I do think merging those 2 and merging the bishops crossing/x cutioner/shattershot ones streamlines it the most. That way, after Lee/Claremont vol 2, you have the hypothetical crossing/song/shattershot omni (1320 pages roughly), Fatal A, wedding of cyclops/Jean as an omni (860 ish pages from memory), phalanxc/lq (1050 ish pages) and then AOA. It's possible that they remap these books, vut the fatal attractions reprint suggests they might not. Xtinction agenda could be an exception as the 2 ohcs were so small and weren't mapped that well. And hopefully we also get eve of destruction rebranded as an omni and revloution reprinted for those who missed them
@@lukewarwick9350 fair enough, you've clearly put some good thought into this mapping. Please reach out to Omar if you haven't so he can put it a good word (none of this is meant to be sarcastic btw)
@@nivekleveb8872 Omar did say he was going to suggest combining shattershot with the other 2 when he put that book on his reprint poll, so hopefully if it happens we'll get it that way. I think that was voted in the top 5 along with Fatal Attractions, so I'd be surprised if it doesn't come soon one way or the other. Without the shattershott stuff it'll be a small omni. I always comment on his vids woth suggestions if I think it will help but whether it gets taken on board or not I have no idea
Great to have these videos back and now you have an actual copy we know it’s definitely going to happen. If this does get delayed it will be due to printing all those Claremont word balloons. I love him but he’s a tell don’t show guy for sure
This book is the last thing I need to complete my Claremont X-Men collection. I can not wait for this. After this, I am done with X-Men as the series ended when Professor X asks, "What am I going to do with 16 X-Men?"
This is so fire X-Tinction agenda is my favorite Mutant crossover. partly cause it was the one that was out when i really started collecting. Dope video dude
Hyped for this one I think mutant massacre & x-tinction agenda were the 2 first hardcovers I had before I started buying omnibuses. It's crazy how back then u could fined these books for $5 without dust jackets at frank & sons or even on Ebay sometimes
Interesting how they replaced Cable with Cyclops on that cover image. The original poster with Cable was so fire. I get it though, Cyclops has more cover appeal at this point.
Uncanny X-Men 272 was the first comic I bought. Got hooked and immediately got my mom to take me to other shops to buy the rest of the crossover. Even to this day, I still think this is an underrated crossover that doesn’t get as respected as some of the others from the era. Can’t wait for this!
I have the original "Wanted" poster, and yes; Cable was in the original Jim Lee artwork presented. "X-Tinction Agenda" was the first X-over that I collected, issue by issue, in real time, and it was such an exciting read! I still have the OHC, along with the HC for "Days of Future Past", and looking forward to eventually upgrading with this new Omni! I'll be sticking with the standard cover. ^_^
Yo Gem, minor suggestion for your review vids, like you put the web address for OPB and Comicsbugle when you read off those addresses, you think you could also flash script for the issues that are included as you're reading them? Love the review but I like to read along when your listing off the issues and the font on the book is mad tiny on my phone 😂. Thanks for another great overview, Excited for this book!
Shatterstar caught on to Rectors twiddle I think. In the 90s I always thought he was cool. Now not so much. Even in the Deadpool movies he could have been way better.
Why do you think omnibuses are heavily discounted except in book stores? I feel like I couldn’t afford these if it was for organic price or some online stores , if these were full price, my collection would be a lot smaller or might not collect. Nice video 👍
Because online retailers are buying in bulk for bigger discounts, comic stores don’t have the luxury of buying hundreds of omnis and keeping them around. Online retailers are just warehouses of storage. Comic shops or other storefronts can only manage a handful of a one Omni at best, a handful of another omni, repeat. Imagine a shop having 100 copies of this omni lol. Not even counting the other hundreds of omnis available in print. It’s not viable.
OMFG, just FYI, I suffer from an OCD and that's related to hunting the OHC books that are currently OOP. OTOH, when they finally reissue those as omnis, and I purchase MIB that's the best OOBE I can have.

That would be ideal, and throw in shattershot and "skinning of souls" or whatever it's called (X-Men 17-24) to bridge the gap to Fatal Attractions
I've been collecting X Men Omnis the past few years trying to complete the entire Claremont era! With this and the Mutant Massacre prelude, it's finally complete.
My Mutant Massacre Prelude just arrived the other day. That thing is MASSIVE!
Excited to add this one to the collection when it comes out!!!
Good thing you got an early copy to proof read... its so minor but shows Marvel needs to work on their QC
Pretty late for them to change anything they are probably already all printed and sitting in warehouses ready to ship.

I LOVE the wrap-around inside cover!!
Just bought my first omnibus couple days ago. Going to take a break from statues and start my omnibus collection!
I love em. Hope you do too

Flipas en colores vaya locura ❤❤❤
Wow superfast 🔥🔥🔥 Thanx for sharing 🤩🤩🤩
Beautiful cover🔥
Looking forward to this. Its on preorder! :)
Not sure all the tie in stuff is worth the upgrade to omni format.
Dope stuff, grabbing this day one❤
Chowdah u gotta do some top 10 vids like Rank X-Men Events. Compare ur list to what we vote
Such a great story line with a lot of tye ins
@GemMint why did you want the DM cover? It's boring.
The Standard cover is so much more dynamic and includes more of the X-Men.
I don’t get to choose

Same
I got this one in OHC, let’s see what the difference is
Looks like this new one is printed at the shitty IMAK printer.
Bring on the mutants.

I just feel terrible I cant support my local shop they have to sell at msrp, and I can't afford to just give them like 40-50 extra bucks on every book.
What era is this, what year were these comics released?
Early 90’s
🔥🔥🔥
Yeah this is a pass for me not a fan on this era of X-men im waiting for that Onslaught Prequel and aftermath Omnis that’s more my style of X-men
The Road to Onslaught and Aftermath stories are better than the main event.
@@seoulessinsocietyI agree with that
Love this shit. I live for these things. So many Omni's available it is insane. Props to Marvel.
