Thanks Jon. I enjoy your mechanical videos. I wonder at times if I should be fixing things again instead of managing people. Rebuilding something is a lot more satisfying than sending someone to HR. 😂
Knowing what the union scale is paying right now, it's really hard to not let the shop business go and just be our own repair shop for the farm and then just buy a lot of nice stuff for the farm.
@@farawayfarm2520 no and that's why I think we're better off poor. At least if we're having a bad day it's on us. And we didn't have to deal with all the other people like we used to
Had a 6320 last year with no symptoms other than contaminated oil... I bet brakes, they were good then i bet pto clutch... Ended up being reverse clutch pack was toasted
you seem to know your way around those things. i have a new to me 6210 powrquad that's got a low trans. pressure light in 4th gear only, if you rev it up and light goes out,.. go back to 3rd and light goes out. on the road in high gear after a couple miles trans temp light will come on. other than that the tractor seems to operate as it should. pulled a 8' rotary mower several hours in 3rd gear with no issues. any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!!! its had both filters changed and the screen was clean.
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 I plan on doing that as soon as I can get the quick coupling. Excuse my ignorance but what could be leaking? I haven’t been able to figure out the movements and how this thing actually works
Thanks for sharing this process with us. I always love watching your videos
@@stevec8246 well thank you very much
I think you do a great job making videos , very helpfull to me anyway
Well thank you.
Cool video, thanks!
Thank you for the informative video and giving up your little secrets. You’re always aces with me.
Ha, thanks
Glycol is something that reacts with clutch discs. It will cause friction to come off. Were there signs of moisture in trans? Cooler may be the cause?
No water that I know of.

Put a guage on it. 4th gear might have a leak.

@saltcreekfarms4469 the piston seals can leak.
Lot of work..
Keeps you off the streets Jon
@AlextheDutchDairyfarmer ha yep, my foot work on only fans isn't working out well.
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 HA!
I would go with the 7410 over a 6400 just for the ride itself for field work and driving down the road.
Yeah, longer wheel base, little more weight...
6400 would be a great machine for the wife for moving bales
Good morning from a very wet Scotland😮
You mentioned in one of your last videos Jon that you have around 10 tractors, why so many if I may ask sir?
I have 3 tractors. 4020, 4430 and massey.
Dad has a 4020, he is going to sell it. It has no value to me on the farm.
👍
Sorry, I missed this information. What is the age and hours?
@@bradmaynard1559 about 13,000 hours

Some people will say it's from different brands of oil,
I think it's a matter of age, hot and cold cycling, and just use.
