    I am Dutch, but this also affects me. This gives me a lump in my throat. how impressive and moving.
    I have been following your royal family from the Netherlands since I was a teenager.
    in every family something happens, but take that apart from the fact that they are good for you as a people. And that's what matters.
    the king was visibly very moved and almost had tears in her eyes.
    I had a strong feeling that she was saying goodbye to her dear people for herself rather than celebrating her jubilee.
    i hope God bless her with a few years of rest what she really deserved rest and peace, and with chales and william to her i have every confidence in that. God rich loving Bless Queen.
    love from the Netherlands.

      I got this welcome home celebration when I came home from hospital because Wales thought their Queen was going to die but i proved them wrong. I was in the car with Mummy, Princess of Wales and everyone went nuts when they saw their Queen again.
      Me and Mummy, Princess of Wales joined my 2009 Woody (heir to Wales’s throne), my sister (also Princess of Wales) and Woody.EXE (Wales’s reigning monarch) before the 5 of us were singing God save the Queen. We even bought the dogs out on our leads to join us all

    I am an American born and raised with British heritage on both sides of my family going way back. I know the long history, and tradition of the monarchy has been essential to unite and hold Great Britain together.
    Nationhood worldwide is being threatened now, and it is crucial that we, in every country, hold to the love, and loyalty we have toward our national identity.
    Long live the Queen!

You have to be perfect all the time without complaining. I don't care what kind of lavish and privileged life she has. It seems impossible for an ordinary human being. Yet she did it. There's this tender moment in Netflix's The Crown where she discussed to her friend the possibilities of living a simple life tending to her horses and her family, of being a simple housewife while her husband is busy with his naval career, of not being vehemently scrutinized every single move, had her uncle Edward VIII not abdicated in 1936. She yearned for a simple life away from spotlight like any other person, but nonetheless the Crown landed on her head. She had to make sacrifices for her job, including her freedom and her family's. She had to make an oath to be of service until her last breath. They say great leaders are those who never wanted the tremendous task of leading because they damn well know how hard it could be. And boy is she a great leader, for 70 years and beyond. I am not British but I admire your Queen with huge respect and awe. I wish we have a unifying force like her, a beacon of hope amidst the chaos of the world. She is a great Queen and she did her job wonderfully. Long live Queen Elizabeth II. God save the Queen 👑

      @kayedeedid 2 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      it's never been about her. It's always been about the good of the country, the commonwealth, the world. She has a ton of 'stuff' but what she has more of than anything else is tenacity and great dedication. May we all look to her for guidance and inspiration.

    • @kayedeedid
      @kayedeedid 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      @@RixMorales yep, I haven't seen The Crown, but until her Uncle Edward abdicated, she was not raised as an heir presumptive. Her father was a naval officer, relished that life. Imagine being 9 years old and having dreams of being ANYTHING, a wife, mother, jockey, milkman, secretary and then by 10 years old being told that none of those dreams will ever come true because at some point you will be Queen and all the others will be subservient. She was a wife and mother for a few years before her ascension to the throne and then and ever since, she's been Queen. If she smiles it's news, if she frowns it's news. She may have loved or hated Diana dearly in real life but because of things she could not publicly expressed that. The closest thing she could do was to acknowledge Diana's death with a royal funeral. She might have wanted to punch any number of people in the gut for whatever reason, but had to always have a civil and neutral tone publicly. It's a wonder she's not had a nervous breakdown after all these years. I think when you see how she sat alone, visibly and physically alone, when Prince Philip died, you realize just how strong she's been all this time.

    Her Majesty, in a short period of 70 years had done her best to overhaul the 1200 year old British monarchy that has been plagued with ailments of all sorts.
    It's all possible because she kept her promise true to her heart upto her very end. Frail and exhausted, and with the rapid decline in her health, she garnered enough strength to discharge her final duty by giving audience to Lizz Truss.
    Till this moment, I still shudder to think of a world without Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty....will forever be missed.

      Woody.EXE is exactly like the Queen. I remember when he announced to his people that me his Queen was coming home from hospital later that evening on Wednesday 22nd February I came home. It turned out earlier than the crowds expected and they were cheering as their Queen and Mummy, Princess of Wales finally returned home. We both then joined my 2009 Woody, my sister and Woody.EXE ready to be blasting out God save the Queen. That was the 2nd time my home st Julian’s was so insanely crowded because of how much the crowd loves their Queen

    Since it was a last minute appearance , I wonder what was going through Her Majesty's head around 1:37 when she saw all the thousands and thousands of people singing for her. I think it was her last minute decision because she wanted to see Her loved people once more before shes gone. I've never seen her to be moved by anthem like this before she was always stone cold. But on this day she looked actually moved to tears. God bless her soul ♥ ♥

    3:08 and the balcony doors close on the Queen for the final time, after she’s taken one last look out at the people on the Mall. Over 100 appearances on that balcony for birthdays, jubilees, coronation and celebrations from her first aged 1 in 1927 to her last aged 96 in 2022, and this was also the last time that most people saw her in public. What a fitting end to a magnificent reign.
