    You could use your mimosa to make huegelkultur beds and then fill them up with all of that lovely muck??? I wonder how massive the nutrients are in that muck?

    • @NearbyVeggies
      @NearbyVeggies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We could do that. In other videos you can see how we’ve used mimosa. Woodchip is more useful for us as we build the gardens. The pond muck went around our trees. 👍

    I actually had a tear in my eye for Kermit!! I was hoping Carlos and the goats would make it in before long.

      Me too. He is okay. Still got water, but we'll be making sure he stays safe and well. Carlos and his goats may make further appearances. 😊

    Enjoying watching along as you bring this piece of land back to life. Can you do a segment where you describe what brought you to Portugal and why you’ve chosen this project?

    • @NearbyVeggies
      @NearbyVeggies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We will indeed do a little segment about what brought us to Portugal n the near future. Thank you for your question. We love questions.

    Hello, I live in Canada but that well that you are trying to clean, in my childhood use to give me many nightmares, I used to think that in the dark walking up to the house I would fall in. That Quinta was my Uncle's , and I used to spend part of my summer there. There is another well at the bottom of the hill. One time they cleaned it and saved the eels , and they served them for supper; snakes , no way !!!!! needless to say I refused to eat , and had no supper.

    • @NearbyVeggies
      @NearbyVeggies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another family member, Luis, told us about the eels as well. Maybe we’ll find them. 😂

    Looks like it’s 150 years old organic mud and compost good for your garden maybe try to make some raises bed down on the bottom part of your land can you use your wheel barrel to move the mud I would move the mud away from the well side so it doesn’t fall back in to the well from them wild pigs they might wanna roll around in it because of the bad smell👍✌️🤙❤️🇵🇹👍

    • @NearbyVeggies
      @NearbyVeggies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We left it so that the pond life could return to the well. You're right, it will make great compost.
