You would start doing this right after I cut up my bed and fenders and slap on eBay flares lol! I guess in the future I could still do this if yours comes out nicely!
Doing the tape bottom to top reduces the risk of having something catch between the wrinkles in the aluminum tape that may get on you paint and mess it up. Other than that, it looks great
Love your attention to detail, it takes me to my happy place, unrelated to the this video, I wanted to ask you a ka24e timing chain guide question:) The driver side guide plastic is broken off. I eventually want to replace/upgrade the engine, so my question is, what do you suggest as a plan to repair this guide without removing more than I need to. I had the timing chain replaced about a year ago. Thanks for your welcomed direction!
There's a set of videos on TH-cam on how to easily do this. My honest opinion is to pull the radiator, pull off the belts and fan, remove the alternator and unbolt the power steering pump ( you don't have to unhook the lines, just unbolt the pump and move it to the side. ) Then take the valve cover off, oil pan and timing cover off. Then you can easily replace everything without fear of dropping anything into the oil pan, etc. Doesn't take long to remove all those things. Maybe an hour?
