Columbus in late 85 Z103 was the only station playing rap, and only 2 hours a week. They played UTFO alot. We taped the shows every week, they were big stars to us at my school
@TheQueensAddress it's like not today, where it's everywhere if you didn't hear it in those 2 hours a week it didn't exist. Sunday night in Columbus, in WZAK in Cleveland it came on Saturday nights when u could get a reception. Great interview
You say Shante was only 14, but be real, she was a PROBLEM at 14. You know that and everyone else knows that. It didn’t stop KRS one from going at her when she was just 15, so don’t use her age as an excuse. SHANTE WAS A PROBLEM.
