"Ever Dream" (Sueño Eterno) es el primer single grabado en dos años de la banda finlandesa de metal sinfónico Nightwish y fue lanzado el 3 de mayo del año 2002.
Fue compuesta por el tecladista Tuomas Holopainen y pertenece a su cuarto álbum en estudio Century Child, el cual se convirtió en disco de oro sólo en dos días, lo que permitió al sencillo alcanzar rápidamente el puesto #1 de los rankings finlandeses. Posteriormente alcanzaría el estatus de disco de platino por haber vendido más de 10.000 copias.
Century Child es un álbum del grupo de metal finlandés Nightwish. Es su cuarto álbum, publicado en el año 2002.
Es el primer álbum con el bajista Marco Hietala, anteriormente miembro del grupo Sinergy, quien también hace voces, reemplazando a Sami Vänskä. Century Child incluye canciones que tocan una gran variedad de temas y pensamientos en sus letras, desde la furia (en Slaying the dreamer) hasta el más completo romanticismo (en Forever yours). La producción del álbum está muy cuidada.
El disco también tiene la particularidad de incluir una versión de "El Fantasma de la Ópera" (The Phantom of the Opera), originalmente escrita por Andrew Lloyd Webber para Sarah Brightman y Michael Crawford. Esta obra también fue versionada por bandas del mundo del Gothic metal como Dreams of Sanity, Lacrimosa y Anabantha (siendo la versión de este último en español).
El álbum fue platino 2x en Finlandia con más de 60.000 copias vendidas, el segundo álbum más vendido en Finlandia en el año 2002, Hoy en día, Century Child ha vendido más de 90.000 copias sólo en Finlandia.1 A nivel mundial, que vendió más de 350.000 ejemplares entre 2002 y 2003.

i feel like Marco, in Tarja, had someone to keep him on his feet at his singing. like hes so incredibly amazing at singing, but having Tarja singing with him, she pushes him to get more amazing at it everyday.

Песня с ней конечно совсем по-другому звучит, голос словно откуда-то с небес идет, так легко и не надрывно звучит, при этом очень эмоционально и энергично. Хотя как поет Фло мне тоже нравится.
I never get tired of this song and that live performance is my favorite so far. I love the way she interacts with the audience.

@@kimberlyh.1090 The Guadalajara video is so bad quality, I tried to make sense of it. Anyway when you have guitars hanging in front of you, difficult to start wrestling. But after the assault there obviously was lack of sympathy. According Marcelo they had big problems in the band already back then in the WIshmaster tour. He claims the band was about to break up back then already and he made a big effort to get Tarja and Tuomas back to working together.

Na minha opinião, o Nightwish ACABOU quando a Tarja foi demitida.
Nightwish com Tarja era uma força sobrenatural. Eles eram soberanos. Oceanborn, Wishmaster, Century Child, a tríade de álbuns lendários todos foram gravados com ela.
A tarja tem a voz de mais
Digam o que quiser, mas é a melhor fase do Nightwish!

04:21 Aquí se ve la diferencia de calidad entre Tarja y Floor. En esta parte Floor "grita" o hace belting tapando la voz de Marco, se confunden o prácticamente no se escucha la de Marco. En cambio Tarja canta en un tono más alto y por tanto puedes diferenciar ambas voces y es increíblemente hermoso. No digo que Floor lo haga mal, le pone muchas ganas y carisma pero Tarja tiene un plus extra, una mayor calidad. Creo...

In this part Floor "scream" or do belting covering Marco's voice, they mix together and you almost can't percieve Marco's voice. Instead Tarja sings in a higher tone so you can hear both voices and distinguish them and it's amazingly beautiful. I am not saying that Floor sings badly, au contraire, she putts heart and charisma but Tarja has a plus, a better quality. On my opinion.

I have my ticket already but two hours before the live stream they will announce the name of the new bassist. 7 o clock Finland's hour.
So we will know for sure, the next NW bassist and maybe the next replacement singer of Marco.

Uff... Gloriosa época en la historia de metal sinfónico, eran la combinación perfecta... el talento, la belleza, la simpatía, la elegancia... esos ojos hipnotizantes de Tarja y los otros cuatro... Pensar que 2 meses después de este recital la echaban a la m... ; Che Leo si te anda faltando este recital en DVD, aprovecha para descargarlo que estoy ayudando a seediarlo en el tracker Dimeadozen . Metallwish Si, en este show se la querian comer con la camara. Unos primer plano muy buenos jaja... Este recital lo tengo en dvdrip de 700mb, mkv de 1,53 gb y un full de 2,09gb. No se si es el mismo full que tenes, el que tengo yo parece que se vieran rapido los movimientos, o movientos raros no se bien como explicarlo xD ... lei que puede ser algo del entrelazado o desentrelazado. Ese tracker no lo conozco, que es privado?... ahora me doy una vuelta a ver que tal. Saludos.
LeometalV8 Si es ese el de 2,09GB, recién me fije en la pc y anda bien, si es el entrelazado la falla que produce son lineas finas horizontales en toda la pantalla, pero esto pasa cuando se hace un mal encodeo al saltarse el paso de desentrelazar un video (generalmente DVD) con campos entrelazados, creo que lo mas probable es que el DVD tenga un archivo .vob con fallas.
El tracker es privado, tiene muy buen material especializado en bootlegs, lo único malo es que tenes que tener un ratio de 1:1 para poder seguir descargando sin problemas..

Ok. Lo de las lineas horizontales tengo entendido que en una tv comun de tubo no se nota. Lo de los movimientos raros no se. Igual todavia por las dudas no lo grabe en un disco para verlo en el dvd de mesa.
Ah, si me imagine que era privado el tracker. Claro en este lugares son exigentes con el ratio.
LeometalV8 Y capaz que en un DVD de mesa se ve bien, no tengo para probarlo por que se agoto el láser, pero cuando andaba me ha pasado que en la pc se veía mal y el la tv bien y viceversa también, y los bootlegs son así...

So Good! Nightwish no longer performs Ever Dream with this high energy. Tuomas has slowed the music and Floor has lowered the vocal key. Sounds so weak now. Thank goodness we still have these original performances
Hmm. I've heard this several times with Floor and she is awesome in this song. First time with Tarja on this song. Interesting to see the difference in performance, and I see Marko actually sings more in this version. In Floor's version - at least the performance I heard, there may be others that are difference -he only joins in on "Dream of meeeeeee.....". And I could hear Marko fine. Floor didn't belt over him in the performance I heard, but maybe the music setup was better in the version I heard.
Voices (Tarja and Floor) both beautiful but very different.

+Adrian Hernandez Arriaga I love the old Nw for the style music no for the singers. Yes now is Floor but the new music of the band is more simple and boring, Its more comercial. If songs, you take away the orchestration, the songs sound all the same, always the same rhythm guitar, drums, keyboards and vocals. (Sorry for the mistakes, it is not my native language)
I do too, but I hate Floor's fans.

Thomas did two things in the band that to me have always set it apart from the rest: he forced bland and uninteresting guitar parts that only a keyboardist could come up with, and he found a unique vocalist.

Tarja sings easily , Floor shouts ,yells &screams throughout , the song is definitely too high for her (like every other of NW classic repertoire , they should downtune them to suit Floor's tessitura :)
Stronger doesn't mean better.
