Today, Tarja reveals the second song from her brand new live-art-album & video “Act II”.
The thrilling live version of “Undertaker”, taken from Tarja’s live performance in Milan, portrays Tarja’s unique talent for combining crystal clear classical vocals, a heavy rocking metal sound and the dynamics of a film score.
In Milan, Tarja and band performed a stunning and powerful set in front of an enthusiastic crowd. After releasing “Love To Hate” from the intimate show at the historic Metropolis Studio in London, “Undertaker” discovers a slightly different side of the queen of Heavy Rock and gives a powerful taste of the forthcoming live release “Act II” showing a different angle of the Art-Video production.
“Act II”, the follow up to Tarja’s worldwide Top 10 chart success, combines two incredible, yet slightly different live performances on video:
The first chapter, “Metropolis Alive”, has been filmed two months prior to the release of Tarja’s 2016 success “The Shadow Self” in an intimate surrounding at renowned Metropolis Studios in London, UK. “Act II’s” second chapter has been recorded on November 29th, 2016 at the magnificent Teatro della Luna in Milan, Italy and includes numerous hits from all four Tarja albums.
Even though the shows deliberately differ in look, sound, approach to the music and adrenalin, both have one thing in common: from the very first to the very last tune, the state of the art production displays Tarja’s energetic performance and her graceful, charming presence.
“Act II” is going to be released on July 27th, 2018 on earMUSIC as 2CD digipak, 3LP Gatefold (180g, black), 2DVD, Blu-ray, Limited Mediabook 2CD+2BD (incl. two full live shows filmed at Woodstock Festival in Poland and Hellfest in France as bonus) and Digital.

There are some people who say that Tarja is nothing without Nightwish, but I was left here like hypnotised to enjoy her performance..Tarja is one of her kind. There are others but they cannot replace Tarja and they do not have to do it. I am just happy that the world has a variety of stunning different kind of talents to entertain me:) Thank you all!!
With all respect, but this is a selfish thought though.
There are many interviews where she said that she would leave the band two years before her departure, so it was a decision of both.
I don't understand why people still think that nightwish can't exists without her, just because she was the first...
Despite she was the first, the person behind all lyrics was Tuomas and without his lyrics she never could shine. Plus, her solo songs is totally the opposite of the songs that she sang in nightwish and I didn't see anyone complaining about that, the only thing people still ask is that she comeback to nightwish...
Why people can't enjoy her solo career? And why people can enjoy her new stuff?
I must confess that I never liked her in nightwish, but I like what she was doing now, because I think this is more her personality.
The above poster didn't say anything wrong. Nobody can replace Tarja and Tarja cannot replace anybody else. That's exactly what the above poster said. Just because she said she wanted to leave two years before, and she has admitted that, doesn't mean that they treated her right. In fact part of the reason she wanted to leave was because of the tensions between herself and Tuomas. I would say the rest of the band, But it was mainly Tuomas. And let's not pretend that the way they fired her it was good, with an open letter. Basically Tuomas was mad that she was leaving, and decided to say "you don't leave, I'll fire you!" And decided to do it publicly and try to get the fans against her, and worst of all her husband who is not even a celebrity and doesn't have his own fans to defend him. Stop acting like nightwish Is innocent.

You are not disclosing any secrets.
She hinted at it many times and Tuomas kept saying everything was fine in interviews, when he knew damn well she wanted to come clean and make it public.
Nightwish were the ones wanting to keep it private, to do it their own way and profit from it.
Had she left on her own accord and in a polite manner, we all know they wouldn't have made so much cash with DPP or EOAE....
She wanted to be honest with the fans and go her own way, like many singers did but they could not have her just leave and risk the band's future, got to have the last word, right?
When Anneke left, The Gathering did not become world-famous and on all magazine covers, did they?
They should have talked to Tuomas and Ewo first!
Read their own book, it is there for all to see.....the tensions were terrible, you see it on the documentary, but they kept the kettle boiling until things got out of control, every time she wanted to have a meeting and talk to them, Tuomas ignored it, like talking to a brick wall... you end up exploding.... like in that infamous airplane ride to or from playing in Toronto, where Tuomas went to her seat and lashed at her and Tarja was so mad, she let it all out, the infamous words ''I do not need Nightwish anymore'', of course her words were plastered everywhere, they made sure of that, even if she spoke by being provoked but no one will ever know what Tuomas said to her first, that made her so mad...
This is such an old conversation and people still only see one side of the story.... The moment she wanted to talk to them and told them she wanted to leave they should have listened and let her go, have a meeting and go their own separate ways.
No, let us just keep touring, do all the concerts, say in interviews all is fine, cannot loose any money and, meanwhile, Tarja will be singing and walking around not knowing what is awaiting for her.
Then, 15 years later say you handled it bad and you were immature, but you still do not reissue Once with all the bonus tracks like Tarja wants, or have all the old albums on spotify and even kick out another singer and claim she was fine with it, even if she says she was fired for being pregnant and not wanting to be replaced. But she is also lying, because everyone lies but Tuomas.
Meanwhile. Tarja collaborates with hundreds of artists, has the same musicians for ages but no one can stand working with her, she is just such a Diva....
Not even going to the part where they played in dumps in North america, where she had nowhere to dress, or proper food to eat and being a diabetic but she is just stuck up for not wanting to play night over night like that...
Gotta spin the story your own way, they sure are better than CNN at marketing, will give them that, it surely made them rich.
