Good job done there Liv 👍 😄 we all know it’s good practice to roll after reseeding but sure the Tyne’s on the harrow would of covered grass seeds from the uv light, nice tidy field, good to see farmer Phil put in a few hours as well ! 🤪
I've done quite a few lawns in one spread seed by hand roled it with a ridged roller seed came up in beautiful lines. I like to keep as many stories as I can after using my huge pedestrian blec rake😜 any stone that's left I bang in with a sledge. Artificial manure is a huge help .I did one in early Feb grand job
Great video. You’ve done everything you could to get the germination, hopefully no frost soon and floods over the winter to do damage. All going well you’ll have something to roll in the spring otherwise as you say just reseed… Keep up the good work.
Check neglected area of your yard . If there are tiny patches of grass showing, then thumbs up . Mother Nature knows how to germinate her seeds on time in my opinion.
a lot of rain coming so hopefully no tracks get cut through the field, but temperate look like they will still be in the mid teens for another week or 2 so that might give it enough of boost to geminate before the frost comes. would you chance the ring roller to firm the soil without sealing the top?
Has the linkage switch blown under the air cleaner on the 3075 Phil? Otherwise try replacing the linkage switch in the console - they're easy enough to change
She’ll be fine. Heat in the ground after the last ‘weeks’ summer! If it gets three weeks and gets roots down it will survive providing no water lies on it. Would have liked a light flat roller or a Cambridge roll but it will do. A few kg of Timothy seed makes a great job of those bottoms. I put multi species into a bottom this year, but only some clover has grown. No chicory or plantains but a good strike of ryegrass. It is a salt marsh where high tides back up the river which may affect it. Well done Liv
Nice one Phil & Liv Yes I think you will have a nice green field there shortly. I think you did everything right. With the help of God all will be good
Good video Phil, I think it will grow some sun light and a little rain no worries. I enjoy field work rock picking and all the rest did you harvest the maze yet?
Have you had any issues with your stone picker cracking at the welds? We only have ours a year and have had to weld it in 4 places. But then again, it could be just because we hire it out on its own?
Your grass will be fine! Defiantly roll it!
After years of landscaping , grass seed will grow if planted anytime of year! Once conditions are half reasonable when planted.
The ring roller makes good seed to soil contact and wont crèat a pan.
I don't know why but I love those perkins engines in those old masses. I recon the 2725 deserves to be the next workshop project.
Philip
A few bags of grow lime ….keeps slugs at bay and helps seed germinate well worth the effort after all your hard work ❤
It will help to break down the old sod and trash also
I prayed the Lord God would bless your fields now and forever. Amen
I put in grass seed in early September a few years ago it came within two weeks probably the best I have seen
Lovely job that, fair play for getting it done.
Good work by a great couple 🙏🙏

Phil the river levels been low but im afraid they wnt take long to fill back up
Top job Phil, put mine in on the 20th, same fear as you re panning, so ring rolled it, was poking threw nicely this morning 😅

You made a right job of it

Hi farmer Phil that was a great job with it and it well come 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You and Liv are hard worker's Phil.. u'll reap the good of all the work in 5 or 6 months time. God Bless ya's greetings from Omagh...
I couldn't not roll it, it helps germination, even an empty water roller would do.
well phil i would love to see abit of hedge cutting coming into the season i would love to see one on demo

The field looks great, top job. Should germinate nicely. Crack on
It should be ok for the grass seed
Great job Phil. I’d say it will come up 🤞. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
Good Job Philip
Phil your some operator, don't worry your grass will grow 😉
It will grow mild temperatures at this of year
Reseeding going great.
Love the air condition
It will grow lad all will be grand. A great job done there. Yous went very fast with the power harrow.
You look wrecked, take some time off.
You have a good chance with it
If it dont come its all preped ready for next season
Has the linkage switch blown under the air cleaner on the 3075 Phil? Otherwise try replacing the linkage switch in the console - they're easy enough to change
Battery sds with a chisel bit handy way to break them stones
I’m a hopin it’ll come up for ya.
been trying to grow grass here in the usa on my lawn, and its been horrible. its been so dang dry here
Is that a fairy tree 🌲?You can’t upset the fairies.🧚🏿♀️ So so good luck 🤞.
Very satisfying to see the improvement
Would be nice to see the 2725 renovated back to her former glory, next tractor in the workshop 😊, liv done some job you're so lucky
A hydraulic top link is what you need for that harrow, You need to up your speed to do a better job .
Good stuff
Definitely need to slow down when powerharow......its a waste of time doing it fast.
Good luck our favourite farmers in the world 🌍
It will come no problem
Your going to fast go slow better with the power harrow
Spraying it off 3 weeks previously most important

Well done Liv
Cant see why it wont grow ,ye done a fine job, would ye give it a light roll.
Not till the spring I’d be afraid of creating a pan by rolling it with the heavy rain forecast
Nice job Phil, be nice grass there next year
Congrats on 88 k
The gras will come up. Wait and see
Nice one Phil & Liv
Yes I think you will have a nice green field there shortly. I think you did everything right.
With the help of God all will be good
Phil it'll be fine!!!
I sowed grass seed on 10th of October in 2012 it was just ub when everything froze I cut silage off it on 5th of June 2013
Are you gonna do a end of year video like last year where you talked about the stone picker and if it made the repayments
I will be yes
Hi Phil, will ya spray in to weeks to kill weed and old grass
Well come ji
Be grand Phil
You'll b rite
It will grow all right. I seen kildare co co sowing grass seed in oct one year and it grew ok
Neighbour reseeded a bit last october and it grew away fine. If winter crops can grow no reason why grass couldn't tbh
13:51 Genuine question. Are you not concerned about compaction? Seems to be a nice enough tilth on top but what’s underneath? 😮
Yes and the plan would be to subsoil the field next year along with putting in the shores
Can you clean out the river?
No we can’t
Most of it will come up.
Nice to see The Big Dog😊
Even if a frost does for it, at least you got the field-work done . . .
Great job improving that bit of land Phil , can the stone picker do its job properly with all the plastic wrapped around the rotors ? Great machine
Doesn’t make any difference to the machine
I’m no expert here, but would the stone picker do some of the job of the land leveller. Filling in the hollows.
It would do a bit but not enough to cut out the land leveller
I reseeded on 21th and it’s starting to come up,
did you put any fertiliser on Phil ?
🤙🤙👍👍
Season closed for fertiliser
You had to try. If it doesn't germinate, it's on the weather, not you.
Good video Phil, I think it will grow some sun light and a little rain no worries. I enjoy field work rock picking and all the rest did you harvest the maze yet?
No maize will be harvested end of October we reckon
Phil wheres the new lemken discs I sent ya 3 years ago ? Those yokes are like saucers 😂
U will be surprised
Yea, grass seed will be ok I'm sure 👍👍
, could you not went a bit slower for first run
Nice job
When can we see the grain shed how yer getting on with it
Have you had any issues with your stone picker cracking at the welds? We only have ours a year and have had to weld it in 4 places. But then again, it could be just because we hire it out on its own?
Not a good idea no one seems 2 know who actually broke it then
@@Johntrait It was a fault of the machine. Broke the welds on the main chassis.
@@EdwardBrady-ls6up Ah they are a simple enough machine to use to be fair.
@@ClarkesfarmI love to see what some lads try to lift with it.
I’ve had no issues with cracks or anything like that. Just the hub cap fell off and it’s impossible to keep the pto guard right on it
Better to roll it, far quicker establishment
Does it need a bag of fertiliser. Hope it works for ye
👍
Kivi Pekka stonepicker 😊🇫🇮
No fertiliser no lime
That's a bloody boulder not a stone.
👌👌👍👍🇮🇪🇮🇪💪💪🙏🙏
Buy yourself a Valtra. Have a bit of comfort🫣. Great work, can't beat reseeding 👍
A comfy headache
Must agree valtra q305 you need!!
Older Valtra tractors were very good but the newer ones are junk
Newer Valtras are pure stink.....electrics just give issues all the time
@@eddcarberry6723 ya cause he has work for a 300hp tractor🙄
