Happy new year Stewart family, after the year you’ve had I’d see the beat as just a minor blip. The achievements you’ve had as a family and shear amount of work between farm family and TH-cam you’ve done this year is immense and you should be proud of that don’t dwell on one small negative occurrence when you’ve had so many positive ones this year
I don’t mean to say I told you so but you should have hired somebody to pull that when ground was dry and it would have been a lot cheaper , but it is good entertainment for your channel , you might not be able to pull it with the armour harvester now because the tops will rot away after the heavy frost , Tyregod is the job then , ( cow farmer Dan ) to the rescue 😂
So glad phil you have such a good relationship with farher phil coz that crack at chains wet ground and pulling and dragging would test both yere patience fair play brilliant honest video ye are a great team 👍👍👍
I've seen my 2 oldest brothers and my late father nearly going at each other when the tractor got stuck in the bog.Big panick and tension which doesn't help anything. Father Phil is such a laid back man it's a great way to be.
2023 will be better. Getting the beet harvester going was kid of a sunk cost this year. It'll pay off in the future as you get more experience with the process which will lead to higher yields with your cattle. With the wedding and everything else you did last year, I'd still count it as a win.
Don’t be disheartened. This is a really bad year at beet. I’m at it 36 years and I’m struggling too. You looked to be doing a good job despite the bad conditions. If there’s any plus to be taken you’ll have a good harvester for next year.
Phil it is what it is First wishing you and your family a great 23 ,as a person who pulled lots of beet with yellow and green Armers and seen a few fields abandoned ,a wet November bates the Armer dry underneath conditions are best ,and you know what you did an excellent job on the harvester and should be proud of yourselves, you did not send for the bad weather Keep up the good work
Phil I had a neighbour pass away during the year from pulling a tractor with a chain , so if you have a bit of change lying around you should invest in a proper tow rope as I’d say you will be getting stuck agains going by the weather

great job on getting the beat harvester going but i would happily watch another 100 beat pullin videos. I grew up around a big sugar beet area and spent my childhood pullin beat with the local farmers . I know that frustrated feeling well of not getting something closed out as planned, but I learned over time that it all gets done in the end, and there will be some other job to get completed after that, so there's no point fretting over it in the present moment. Phil, if you have to plough out the beet with the MF35 and one body on the Ferguson plough… it’ll be a bit of work to gather and crown it by hand but you’ll get it out of the field and into the bulls. Happy New Year.
You'll find in life that there will always be something else "important" workwise when you decide to go on holidays or plan in some downtime with family/Friends. It's a fact of life. If the place rang like a clock without you being there then there would be something wrong. Take the time to relax and enjoy yourself when you can and don't get yourself down about taking that time. You'll have loads to these hurdles to overcome through life. Put it down to experiance. Onwards and upwards. Hindsight is 20/20 vision.
Oh dear. Things have a habit of sorting themselves out. At least the harvester didn't break down and you'll be ready to go again when the weather dries up. Maybe you can get in if we get another freeze?
