Awesome video yes questing Beast would be awesome in this Deck I believe. have a very similar deck with great henge it it and it's awsome like this deck😊
The new cards that appear to be coming definitely push us towards a more aggro/midrange build. Similar to the energy midrange in standard a few years ago with Glint-sleeve siphoner, longtusk cub and Bristling Hydra or the older Abzan midrange with fleecemane lions, 3 drop Anafenza and Rhino for the people who play long enough to remember those very successful decks of the past in standard. That said playing Questing Beast is a very good idea as long as the rest of the deck adapts to support this more beat down strategy eg less removal, not more than 24 lands, less to no enter tap lands etc. The trick with this type of deck is to manage to make it agile and fast while keeping alive the ability to play a longer game.
questing beast is my fav creature of all magic. its always a good draw and trades with almost everything apart from indestructible creatures. finding a way to give it +1 toughness would make it very hard to trade against profitably. i hv a mono green deck that does just that with ranger class level 2.
Im definitely grabbing 4 of the new 2 drop day 1. Also interested in trying questing beast and going for a more straight aggro plan.. that card really transforms the deck. Got myself 3 glissa. Going to try 2 wren and realmbreaker (spelling?). Super hyped to get back to fnm with the rock after a long break from magic 😊
Unrelated to the questing beast debate I play the rock at FNM and I have a pretty consistent 50% win rate vs rakdos entirely because of 2 cards. 1. Because of 4 invoke despairs in the main meaning that I have better top decks than them late game and 2. Because of 3 shapers sanctuaries in the SB turning all of their removal into -1 in card advantage. Glissa picks up the slack and cleanly answers their only card I care about which is fable.
I’m glad to hear you’re having some decent success! Invoke is definitely a powerful card. I’ve been wanting to play it without scrapgorger, and perhaps now is the time!
Depends on your meta. Your build would be ruined by mine, simply because of the amount of aggro decks are played here. Invoke is a dead draw against those decks, OR you are dead by turn 5/6. If your meta is full of Rakdos, having a higher "bomb" density than they can deal with, is a way to out value them. Then again, if Goldgari is not getting something really good, it will always be out valued by every single red deck. And Glissa still need to hit to be that "clean answer", which can be a tough ask if played around it. tl;dr there is no one size fits all kinda way to deck build for paper, because local metas can be vastly different.
@@neros_soren very well said! I’d imagine that starting with 2 invokes in the main would be a good place to start if we’re just playing leagues on mtgo
So I'm heavily in favor of questing beast because it follows the core of what a midrange deck is. Midrange is basically a PILE of the best cards available in your colors. Questing beast is an essays worth of oracle text, for the cost of 4 mana. It's unblockable by a good chunk of the format. It has vigilance which means it can come down turn 4 vs control and not give DAMN about wandering emperor. I play 4 Inv desp and my games and frequently ended by me burning the opp for 4 or 6. QB helps chip away at their life.

Nice! I’m glad to hear it :)
I’m so hyped by this green BTH, can’t wait to try it out
I’m glad you’re as hyped as I am, Guillaume!

For sure! The aggro/midrange hybrid build is definitely something to look forward to. Here’s to hoping it’s actually good lol

Yes sir! QB is so awesome

That’s awesome, Chris! I’m glad to hear it. Let’s hope that all the hype is worthwhile once WOE comes out!

I think questing beast is mildly slept on, I was playing with it a few months ago and it was an "oh fuck" kind of card whenever it hit the board.
I’m feeling the same way. It’s also been a great topdeck that can get wins out of nowhere often enough
I love the beast he's great
Hell yeah!

Exactly!! Adding in invoke could be something we want to do, it’s just that the build would look a bit different. Thanks for the input!
