Try to kick a 85 cr 500 or a 82 or 500. 😂 boots are necessary, choke first, then try some throttle, 2 strokes can flood out easily. My cr 500 big bore started after priming it in 4th gear gas on and rolling it back and forth...

      Thanks.
According to the Yamaha dealership, when they ran the SN it actually comes up as a 1971 RT1B-360 (B meaning Enduro version). Even though the sticker on the bike says 1972. Apparently because it was made less then 6 months into 1972, so it's actually considered a 1971.

Great bike, wrong front fender, not original. Also rear sprocket looks geared for off road.

I thought that as well, but the dealership has told me that for the serial number of the bike it is a RT1B-360. The B stands for the enduro version and that is why it has the higher fender and larger rear sprocket. I have no idea so I'm just going with what the Yamaha dealership is telling me. Either way, we will be restoring it the way it is. should be fun.
