hi, what do you do when there are no relays there, i have a 1993 se, took off everything, changed bulbs for leds but there are no relays to take the green wire out of. a bit stuck tbh.
Great video! The XSR900 is so good. 👍️ I love the engine sound and the rich torque! Let's go touring! 🏍️
I got the Roadmaster i disagree it was the best riding bike and the best bike by far. The worst was the Harley this bike the Kawasaki was a close second ride was nice but it had to much plastic and unlike the Roadmaster it was thin plastic the Roadmaster has much nicer build quality.
Where do I get one of those for 500???
Turned off half way through; didn't get on You Tube to listen to a grown man's vulgarity and lack of respect for his audience!
1:57 So, you went back and pick up the camera?
Eventually, that was my garage I just edited the video and switched to my Sena 50C for on the road
$500 of the bike, $5000 for the insurance?
$460 to insure for the year
@@highmilagerider1154 bargain
Hey Friend, do you still rock this jacket? How’s it holding up? It’s a pleasure to listen to you. Cheers
Still have it, but it's not holding up very well. I will have a video out in a bit as a long term review after about 8,000km of riding in it. Had to send it back to KLIM after only a few months of riding in it cause both zipper pockets on the front broke. Teeth fell out of the zippers. Very poorly made jacket in my opinion for the money they cost Love the way it breaths in the heat, but very poor workmanship
@@highmilagerider1154 that is some breaking news, nobody talks about how it holds up, only how perfect it is. Tell us how the customer service handled your request as well (that’ll be a warranty claim?)
@@Zieloniutki83 Customer service was only “OK” in my opinion. I sent the jacket back and they paid the shipping. But, they only agreed to fix the zippers under warranty, the jacket material coming apart they said was my fault I must have snagged it on something so they wouldn’t do anything about it. The jacket was only 2 months old. Very poor build quality considering their jackets cost up to 400% mort then everyone else’s jackets do. Heck, I have a HWK motorcycle jacket that I got off Amazon for $48 that I have had for 4 years and ridden more then 140,000 km’s in and had nothing go wrong with it. So I will never spend my money on another KLIM product again. They’re just not worth the money in my opinion.
@@highmilagerider1154 thanks for the details, I am so curious to see what happened to the fabric. Not so perfect after all. Looking forward to the long term review after 8k! Cheers
I still have the scars from my '71 RT1B. Great to hear one of these run again
I have this jacket now. Sizing is the only attribute of this jacket that does not 100% thrill me. I'm a 46" chest and an XL is about 1/2 size too big. A size Large was too tight. Typical with Klim. But a very high quality jacket in every way.

I have Version 2 of the very same jacket and the same color. I use Marrakesh Pants also. I wear a wind bloc jacket by Klim and a rain suit by Dainese. I also use a puff jacket by Klim for internal Warmth. I replaced all the CE level 1 with CE level 2. I use Bohn Body armor for the legs, which includes armor in the knees, hips, shins, thighs, and coccyx. The Bohn Armor is fantastic! This armor is wrapped in a layer that seems to block the wind, which is great for the cold. It's also breathable.
What Civic uses a horizontally opposed 6 cylinder??
It was a sarcastic remark Ride safe
Proud owner of a 2023 super tenere 1200, I'd like to add the low maintenance drive shaft, easy to remove side plastics to access electrical on the right side and radiator on the left side . I am getting 4.1l per 100km @ 100-120kph without saddle bags and 4.5l per 100kms with them on, only run high test fuel. For me my mileage suffers by about .7l with regular fuel. Super comfortable on long trips, always look forward to riding it the next day. Longhaul Paul has put over 300, 000 miles on his. WOW. I wish I could lift my front fender and inch or so, but can't see how that's possible, anybody have suggestions?
9:37 now that is impressive! Going to try that on my Wing.
7:45 - I know how you feel! The same thing happened to me. I was fiddling with the cruise control while wearing thick gloves and didn’t even notice I hit the kill switch. But hey, that’s all part of the riding experience!
That's a great looking classic bike. The gold color is just what I think of for a Goldwing.
Amazing video Sir....I have a 350 cc Royal Enfield..I also go on such trips with my friends on weekends..😊
That's awesome...Have fun and ride safe
Love your products. I also own the Nelson ring solo storm rain gear as well, which I will be reviewing shortly. Let me know if you have any new, innovative products coming out. I would be happy to have a look at them and review them .
Thank you for your support. We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed our bags for multiple trips.
That Bike is Worth More than 500 Bucks. You Stole it
I think the Voyager is fantastic value for money. I have an FJR1300 (which I consider the best value for money sports-tourer) a but this would be my choice for a cruiser. The idea of "really pushing" a bike like this is laughable. These things are all about taking it easy and enjoying the ride.
I tuned in to see I'm on a my tank Installation 72RT2 . . So was that a rubber strap the one screw came from?
Not sure I understand your question? There are 2 rubber straps that sit in front of the air box that are supposed to help hold the tank down. ours are broken. I was unable to source replacements, so now that were putting the bike back together they won't be attached.
$500 Goldwing? HORSESHIT!
You can turn off the music if you change the setting via the settings on the device using the on device voice menu options or the easier way is to use the Sena Motocycle app on your phone. You can change A LOT of settings using that app. For Camera settings you need to use the "Sena Camera" App while in the liveview mode.
It is a Bevel Drive to the Rear Wheel..and not a 'Diff'.
The Goldwing members on the forums I belong to refer to it as a rear differential final drive, so I did as well. This is my first Goldwing :) I realize now that they were likely using a "slang" term. Upon further investigation I see that it is actually a five pin drive flange. The shaft splines mate with the final drive pinion joint. The pinion joint acts like a pump circulating the hypoid oil into the cup, lubricating the pinion joint and the drive shaft. Sorry for the confusion
It is not a Honda Civic Engine ..the Engine was designed specifically for this Motorcycle.
Sorry, I was using sarcasm ride safe
2:30 - The D3O Ghost armor in the Marrakesh is Level 1. It can be upgraded to a quality Level 2 armor without sacrificing much flexibility or comfort. I can't even feel the Level 1 D3O Ghost armor. It feels like I'm wearing a light jacket, and not a motorcycle jacket. The AA rating is abrasion resistance, and it's impressive for such a lightweight, comfortable and breathable jacket. I just bought a Marrakesh jacket and love it. It was significantly more expensive than my old Joe Rocket riding jacket or the cheap mesh jacket that I bought to test the concept, but it's easy to see where the extra money went. The Marrakesh oozes quality. The fit is excellent (sizing runs a bit on the large side, even by portly US standards) and there is incredible attention to detail in this highly engineered technical garment. A proper layering system extends the summer Marrakesh for all seasons and all weather conditions. I'll use my yellow DuPont seam sealed Tyvek coveralls as an ultralight rain suit for riding in rain or whenever I need the ultimate wind protection in cold damp conditions. I have a polyester pile jacket that I use in cool weather instead of a down puffy jacket. It's good to wear off the bike as well. Down is lighter and packs much smaller but pile is more durable, and it's warmer when wet. I need to get a lightweight windbreaker jacket for cooler riding when I don't want mesh breathability. I may get the Klim Zephyr. Like the Marrakesh jacket, it's a bit pricey, but buying quality only hurts once. It's probably worth the difference in price to have a durable high quality Klim shell that fits properly and works well. For very cold conditions, I also have an ultralight heated vest that I made from two car seat heaters. They use carbon fiber as the resistive heating elements.
230k kilometers. God that's cool. Nobody rides as much as goldwing owners
I also have a 4 year old Super Tenere ES that has 100,000km on it so far. If I keep it for another 23 years (same age as the Goldwing) I'll have about 550,000km on it :) Ride safe
Where can I get some the special tool? I’m looking for: Proggsive 412 series for a Honda Goldwing, any ideas?
I ordered my progressive shocks off Fort nine. They came with the tool. They might also carry the tool on it's own? I'd check on ebay Good luck
Killer deal! What a great bike
Thank you
An that leather he so proudly "reconditioned" is actually Vinyl plastic. Especially the map pocket cover thing. I did most of this for my 96 SE myself so I understand the passion
Thanks for the video! I thought only one side is supposed to be lit, but after changing them both, it turns out that both come on together, whether dimmed or brights! Way better now!
That is correct. Both are on for low beam, when you hit the hi beam switch all it does is change the optics to give you the hi beam
I watched this in 3x speed and still it was boring. Just do the thing instead of explain what you shall do for 10 minutes for each little part
Goldwing riders have asked me to give a detailed explanation when doing stuff on the bike so they will know exactly how to do it. If you don't like the videos, don't watch Ride safe
Very well done video, Thanks for taking us along rider. Hopefully my 83 GL1100 is as dependable
I can’t believe you got that beautiful bike for 500$ I want one please
Thanks for your solid review. Did you buy the Voyager? How does it perform on mountain passes?
I actually went a completely different way and bought a Yamaha Super Tenere ES. Great for on road and off road. Ride safe
I need to visit our northern brothers on motorcycles sometime soon. Love that part of the world.
It is beautiful. Ride safe
That's one ugly looking bike
When I sat on the bike those side panels were uncomfortable for my inner thigh, haven’t had the opportunity to ride it.
progressive shocks are great, used on my leaking 1982 Goldwing.
The ride is really nice
May I know how's the battery life? How long can it last when listening to music, and also how long can it last when shooting a video? Thank you
Just listening to music and talking to my buddies it lasts about 12 hours. Shooting video it lasts about 5-6 hours Ride safe
I usually have mine connected to a external battery bank when it's on my helmet which gives you days of taping.
Just listening to music and talking to my buddies it lasts about 12 hours. Shooting video it lasts about 5-6 hours. The beauty of the SENA 56C it you can use a USBC cable and plug it into a USB on your bike and recharge the battery while you continue to use it. That's a major reason why I like it over a GoPro.
@@highmilagerider1154 wow that's really quite impressive. Thank you so much for the updates. Appreciate it much sir
i like this one better than bmw gs 1250..
Me too I especially like the 42,000km valve services And that it is half the cost to buy and less then half the cost to maintain Plus there is no adventure bike more reliable I just passed 87,000km Ride safe
Informative video, but please stop swaying as you talk.
Thanks for your input I will try :)
@@highmilagerider1154 Sway away, I never noticed a problem with your presentation. Very informative - Thank you! 👍
@@Fractal379 Thanks!
My super Tenere almost drove me off a cliff because of ABS. Yes ALL ABS should be able to be turned off!!!!!!! It was down hill on a gravel road in the mountains. Yes some people DO take 600lb bikes off road and actually ride them. The ABS activating on gravel with a hard base gave me almost no breaks at all. I stopped only a foot away from the edge with no guard rail. That was the SECOND near miss I had with that nike and ABS. The ABS fuse came out that day and stayed out!!! ABS is DANGEROUS!!!!
I would disagree with your comment. Haven ridden almost 500,000 km and being a former Motorcycle Instructor in Alberta, I can say with confidence, IMHO ABS helps more people then it hurts. Unless your Chris Birch or some other professional off road rider who bombs down gravel roads at 100 - 150 kph while sliding the rear end of the bike out on every corner before you take your 600lb bike over a 10ft jump...ABS is not going to kill someone. 90% of all close calls on a motorcycle are rider error. If you have come that close to killing yourself on a Super Tenere or any motorcycle "Twice" , with all respect...it's likely you as a rider that is the issue. I have ridden my bike on 100's of km of gravel roads and fire trails, in the mountains, water crossings, uphill and downhill and on hundreds of thousands of km's on the road and never come close ever, to killing myself while off road or on road. Please stay safe Ride safe
🥱
It's fun to see these videos of older gold wings that still are running after all these years. But if you think about it, if you were to buy a newer used Honda off cycle trader for $5k with 80k on dial, you could literally drive it for 20K more miles and turn around and sell it again for $5k with 100k on dial. So I've been contemplating getting a Gold Wing for a trip across the South West and 2004 version looks pretty sweet.
They are beautiful motorcycles
Letting your fuel tank get below 1/4 full is the fastest way to over heat your electric fuel pump on your Goldwing. Best carry a spare pump now.👍
So did you do the second video of you talking to Steve over the Sena 50c? Can't seem to find it anywhere?
You can watch our PCH trip from this year, it has me talking to numerous riders on the video
forget it the KTm is more more faster, your boddy just the go fast man
I have raced a total of 3 different people on KTM 1290's + one HD Pan America and beat all of them from 0 - 180KPH :) Ride safe
Should have done a Mad Max launch
