@@Lilac-queenuknow these things called coordinates? On java edition u can press f3 to see them and on bedrock edition u can enable them in world settings. Y level is the second number in coordinates (example: 35, *15*, 69)

Me and a friend found one that had around 2,500 iron ore. Silk touched all of it and used fortune 3. just my part ( a little less than half) got about 40 stacks or raw iron given it was DEFINITIVELY rare to find one of these
I love the passion!!! Update: i iust found a cave with some tuff around it and with a fortune 3 picaxe, i was able to leave the vein with over 600 iron! Wow! Found 5 solid iron ore blocks, too.
That literally just happened to me. Finally found my stuff and got murdered by a zombie wearing my armor and welding my sword. Turned the game off for now. 🤣

Also another extra tip, several youtubers recommend mining diamonds at Y -53. Because there are less lava pools and still diamonds/caves. Iron and diamonds, there you go
At y 16 i mined 822 blocks non iron blocks on bedrock i gained 12 copper 27 lapis and 43 iron and lost almost half durability on my diamond pickaxe with unbreaking 2 and efficiency 2 thats probably 12 iron used if it was iron picks i would say mining at y 16 is pretty good sure i am not done clearing out the blocks in-between the strips i mined while strip mining but this is way better then trying to find another cave thank you mine mentor i can finally build the iron farm i keep not having enough for because i keep using all my hoppers for auto smelters Yes im still talking about minecraft i made 2 different smelters for coal and food
Wow, I just got hundreds of iron from a vein because of this video. As soon as you started talking about raw iron blocks next to tuff, I remembered my husband finding that very thing while mining and immediately ran down into the mine to investigate. I have so much iron I barely have room for it all, and I'm positive that there's still a ton more down there.

Despite using these tips, I still *never* get more than just a few sad pieces of iron ore at a time; be it in caves, or in branch-mining. Sometimes the returns are so bad that I break even on the iron picks I wore down looking for it. It’s just sad; it used to not even be something to worry about, you could just go mining for something and pick up plenty of iron as a byproduct. now it’s like trying to find netherite or emerald ore.
Strange that these tips don’t help in your world. Maybe you should start another seed. If you have a good spawn, with a mountain, you will really find enough. Hope things will get better
your luck gotta be so bad if you can't find any iron. this is how it was for me when i first placed MCPE survival, there was absolutely no iron to be found anywhere.
if youre just starting, caving is peak. after you get a fortune 3 pick, absolutely go for some large veins, i kid you not i got 8 stacks of raw iron from one single vein. tuff sign is very op
I tend to gravitate towards large iron veins, whether I'm searching for them or not. I have three that I still haven't finished mining. The other ones I've found are fully mined out.
@@TheMineMentor Yeah. I have a feeling I left some iron ore behind in some older veins though. Given how huge they are, I'll need to return to the sites of previous iron veins and look around. I don't think I got all the iron from the first and second ore veins I found. The third and fourth ones are fully mined out and, as previously mentioned, I haven't finished mining the other three I found recently. Thank goodness we have shulker boxes.

Your welcome! Good question! I used an x ray texture pack to make only ores etc visible and all other blocks invisible. And then I went indeed in spectator mode with night vision activated. The part with the iron in the mountain I just used comments to remove all blocks in that area, except for iron ores. Thank you for watching!

I'm an old Minecraft veteran, that hasnt actively played since before Horses were introduced. And I don't remember iron being this difficult to find. All i find is useless copper. So im resorting to my old mineshaft methods. And im a bit ashamed of having to look up videos like this for it.
I think it’s great that you start playing Minecraft again after so many years! Yes a lot has changed over the years, especially in 1.18 when they changed the whole terrain generation of Minecraft. I went down to mining and thought that if i find tuff the it means i found a large iron vein but i didn't find any iron and all i have is just alot of tuff and after that mining session i was left with stacks of tuff and 10 iron ore ,what did i do wrong?
You didn’t do anything wrong. But tuff alone can be find anywhere in deepslate levels, but it doesn’t mean it’s an iron ore vein. You know when you’ve found one if you see a lot of iron ores mixed with tuff blocks, not just a few.

I find lots of iron, gold and diamonds and red stone ores in deep caves, but the monsters always kill me before I return to my base with the materials
That’s a pity. Try to craft a shield as soon as you have 1 iron. A shield can really help you defend against all monsters and it’s easy to make.

The strip mining method actually isn't very good. You should look for iron it big open caves, or you can strip mine in the Jagged Peaks biome

Like iron veins spawn as iron ores and tuff, copper veins spawn as copper ore and granite. So be aware of granite. And they spawn above Y0.

Another good way is to make an iron farm, you just need a village (something that can be a little difficult)

Thanks for the video, i had found 4 diamond ores but my iron pickaxe broke so i used my stone pickaxe and i found MORE diamonds while looking for iron 😅

Turns out I actually had an iron pickaxe in my chest so I didn't have to look for iron anyway 😅, I have 10 diamonds now.
