I got one these from a local gunshop this Spring. I agree, there is a lot to love. Its a real bullseye taker. Mine was just $529 and came with the tools as well as the 18 and 22 round mag. Thank you Turkey! Terrific engineering here!
I think the greatest benefit of a Canik, PDP, or VP9 over Glocks is the trigger. They are "evolutions" of the Walther P99 with the precocked striker. The reset on them allows you to shoot them pretty fast.
Your reviews are thoughtful and thorough. I'm favoring Canik more than the PDP just because the slide has better contours than the very very square PDP.
I love this pistol. I've had mine for 4 yrs now. It doesn't like steel case ammo very much. It will work, but it sticks and fails to feed sometimes. Flawless with good brass ammo. Accurate AF. Love the short reset.
Couple of reasons: 1) This flexes between range and home defense, so I want a light on it. 2) I had an extra light sitting around, and it fit well on the gun, and 3) honestly more people like pics when theres a light mounted LOL. Thanks for watching!

They'r both fantastic, I think you'll definitely be pleased. Thanks for the kind words!
@realpracticaltactical absolutely. I've handled both and they're both very nice feeling.

What is the reason for a light on a comp, pistol?

Nice pistol 👏👏👏
What light and model optic you run?
It changes depending on what I'm testing, but in this video it's a Swampfox Sentinel and an Olight PL Pro. Thanks for watching!
Where did you buy this? Couldn’t hear in the video
Brownells
