This made me so homesick😢. I grew up over there, 154 & Melrose. I was praying ud walk that way. I was so excited when I got a glimpse of Immaculate Conception, but u turned back towards 149th. Thank u for sharing. I miss home & hope u do a video during the day walking along Melrose down to 154tn. I’d love to see it🙏. God bless & stay safe, Donna.

2,3,4 and 5 trains. The Q44 bus left Jamaica, Queens terminal and took you to Flushing and then across the Whitestone Bridge and last stop was the near the Bronx Zoo. I lived there for 20- plus years.Noble Avenue, right by Soundview Houses. RIP to my brother-in -law's aunt Mrs. Marian Cainbriidge for letting me stay there. Decent memories. I'm from Long Island, New York. 😊🙏 🕊
I love how most of the video was without music. Just the sounds of the streets. But I also like the song you played. Nice variety.
I grew up by 156 St & St Ann’s ave back in the 60’ and 70’S, my mother used to take us kids shopping by third ave by 149St, pretty much that’s where we did all our shopping. Looking at footage of your video, it brought back lots of memories from those old days when we would just go around that area just to hang or go window shopping. Good old days! It breaks my heart how trashy that area has gotten. Never seen so much trash on the side walks and people just hanging out in the middle of the night. I remember one time getting off the 149St train station going home from a friends house and walking down 3rd Ave alone and found myself scared because I was the only person walking down that street and it must’ve been around 8:30pm but once I found myself nearing 156St I knew I was save. I’m here wondering to myself? This person must be nuts walking around that area in the middle of the night. Well! KUDOS to you for being that brave. But you did capture a lot of good footage of my old stomping grounds. Great Job!!!!!

I saw your video walking this area during the day. There were spots that looked kind of sketch in broad daylight. So to see you walk the same area at night took some guts. I may question the sense a little bit, but you definitely have some guts. So, hats off to you, I suppose. Between all the trash lying around, all the people lying around (some of whom were clearly under the influence of something) and all the children I saw (some of whom were pretty young) who were out and about on the street at close to ten at night when they should have been home safely in bed...well, it made for sort of a depressing viewing for me. I did like that little song you had playing around the 20:15 mark that you used to cover up the background music so you won't get copyright claimed or whatever. I feel like I've heard it somewhere else before. I like it, but I don't know the name of it.
Nevermind, I found it. King Canyon, "Ice and Fire," for anyone else who was curious about the song like me. Still can't remember where else I've heard it, though...which will drive me a little crazy until I finally figure it out.

Pretty risky walk, can't deny but you were able to accomplish it
You can see trash cans overflowing with garbage. In a busy area such as that, there should be frequent garbage collections.
