This show unfairly never gave Karen (Angela Watson) much to do. She'd get a random line here and there but was probably the family member that got the least amount of lines. Back when this series first ran, I remember thinking I wished she gotten more screen time.
It wasn't her, Brendan got the least screen time. He even didn't appear in the last season, without any explanation.
I thought Karen was really funny, I think both her and Brendan should have had more story lines, they focused too much specially on Dana and JT. As the others where teenagers they could have had some more kid story lines with Brendan and maybe his friends too and not just teenage stuff.
She had a couple of episodes centered on her actually. She wasn't as relevant as Dana or even Al but she did have things to do. The thing is that this show's writing was a dumpster fire! The daughter became 4 years old out of nowhere, Brandon completely disappeared with no explanation and also the show started with Dana and Karen being 1 year apart and then karen joined college much later than Dana did and they made her closer to Al's age when....

Man, I forget how Anti-Trades 90s tv was, look at us to day were short on everything electricians, plumbers, mechanics, contractors, woodworkers. But heavy on pro-college debt.

This was a great episode. Men actually don't know how much we women go through: menstrual cycles, pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause and all the symptoms that comes along with these things like nausea, vomiting, tender breasts, bloating, constipation, urges to pee all the time, diarrhea, swollen ankles, back aches, body aches, loss of appetite or cravings for certain types of foods, etc.. I can go on and on. I don't think men would last one day dealing with all these symptoms
Everybody has experienced those symptoms at one point in their livesâĶ except the tender breasts

Dana didn't have to because she wasn't the one who made the stupid jokes that women whine and gain sympathy when they are pregnant. It was JT and frank who did that so they are the ones who need to do it. And besides, Dana will get pregnant for REAL she gets older. So she knows what it is going to be like.
