My dad always told me “When you mind your own business, you’ll live a lot longer.”

That's awful advice

I loved when Jade said "she's home eating a ham sandwich and you're ripping your hair out" Spot on! 😂
Ham sandwich is Jade's version of rice and beans.
Extra mayo. Falling off the sandwich with every bite.
When the caller tried to say she wasn't that bothered and Jade said "It's enough to make you call the show!" I said "Ouch!"
Hey
Perhaps "ham sandwich" is code for 'living high on the hog'?

When you have integrity and work hard you're actually bothered by people who cheat. You wouldn't know that so you see it as jealousy.
Sometimes we outgrow friendships. She doesn't align with your values, so maybe it is time to step away from this friendship. The most important thing is to not ruminate over this. Make the decision and move on and let go.
So true. I had a friend for 30+ years who became angry and bitter over time. Every several years, she had a meltdown and took her unhappiness out on me by picking a major nonsensical argument. I very recently ended the friendship because -- while she does have some very nice traits -- she became too much work to have as a friend and I always knew another nonsensical argument loomed in the future. She has major meltdowns with her other friends, so it wasn't just me.

People call in for reasons other than financial management. No need to jump to conclusions about her divorce; you have no facts. She raised 2 kids and is a hard worker. You could be less harsh.
I don't think so. It's hard to confront people when you know they are doing WRONG.
Fraud is theft from taxpayers. Do you not pay taxes?
Amy just went Ultra Instinct Karen 😂😂😂. Dave is right 💯 you become who you hang out with.
Hahahaha
And it's not necessarily doing the same thing. In this case the friend is entitled and she's becoming entitled too (I pay taxes, I've worked hard). It's the same thought process just different methods because each has different circumstances.
Is the power of influence. One's influence will win over the other.
Either you become them, or they become you.
I don’t think she’s being entirely Karen because she says her “friend” insults her for working. It would be different if scammer did her thing, keeps her mouth shut about it and minds her own business.
@@anndeecosita3586 Yeah, the fact that the friend insults her about working . . . Well, what's the caller supposed to do? Get injured and collect worker's comp? What would the friend suggest the caller do to replace working for a living? Maybe the friend will get her dose of Karma one day when it's discovered she wasn't eligible for all that worker's comp and now has to repay it.
If you can't tell a friend the truth and confront them on their messed up behavior, they're not your friend.
Or you tell them in a non-combative way and they aren’t open to listen to what you say. I had a friend who was repeatedly rude to servers. When we were alone I asked her not to do this because it upset me and when we are together her behavior reflected on me. She didn’t care and not only continued to be rude to them became the same way with me. She said some crap about people just don’t understand her. Friendship over.

This. It's shocking really.
I had a friend in the navy that was able to get full disability pay and jokes about it. It’s the integrity factor. Funny enough that safety blanket of a monthly check has made him completely useless. He honestly could be a doctor if he had any ambition but he sold himself out for a monthly check.
He was in the military he deserves the extra money my great grandfather always said u get on disability ur life is gonna end sooner but we don’t know if that’s 100 percent true my grandfather fought in ww2 came home got a job at a glass factory retired and lived a peaceful like no disability check but if ur body got hurt over seas just tell him joking about u got hurt and now ur ok and getting feee money isn’t funny if he keeps doing it explain to him u don’t want him to get bad karma
You called into a radio show for this?
thats what I thought. like why?
I don't think they understand what she is asking. She is part of a GROUP of friends they hang out with. If she deletes this woman from her life then she is losing her relationship with the other real friends in the GROUP.
Dave’s answer was stop going to parties where she will be which is unrealistic unless you cut off your entire friend group. I have an ex -friend who I still run into because we have mutual friends. I see her at their gatherings. One time she sat down right next to me at a dinner party. When I see her I say hello and am civil but I don’t chit chat or act fake. Also asking people not to invite someone because you are uncomfortable also feels childish.
But she said that other people have an issue with it too in the friend group so like Dave said either be around her or schedule shit without her it’s not a hard concept yall I know they don’t teach much in school but come on we can’t be this slow
That's the question she asked at first, but the real issue bugging her was that the cheat makes off while her and her kids are working hard.
OMG - I was literally yelling at my phone for them to let her friggin talk!
“Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future”
To quote the late, great, DMX, “mind yo business, lady”
She is definitely jealous of her. And she is looking for ways to get back at her and hurt her in some sort of way. She is looking for somebody to tell what she wants to hear. Someone that agrees with her
I agree this caller is a little toxic and vengeful. It's like why have a friend you resent so much, be mature enough to cut your ties, mind your business and move on with life. This friend is smiling and eating ice cream while this lady is all worked up.
If she is hurt and wants to get back at her it’s probably because the lady insults her because she works.
What Amy really wants is to report her

You don't get "more" money when you're on workers' comp. I was on it, legitimately, for three months and my paycheck was about 15% less. I understand that I didn't have to work during that time, but it's still less money than if I was working.
Sounds like she’s bitter that her “friend” is getting money in and not working while she’s over here busting her butt off at a job she hates for peanuts. This is not her “feeling bad about it.” This is her feeling jealous and bitter about that particular person.
she sounds a bit jealous more than frustrated. maybe the frustration comes from jealousy... im not gonna be mad at someone for winning against the system unless i wanted to have that. lol
We all want free money, but most of us have a conscience that stops us stealing it. She isn't "winning against the system". She is stealing.

Worker's Compensation where I live does all they can not to pay. So I am surprised they didn't come up with some weird reason to cut off compensation. You also have to have doctors look at you all the time and send reports to them. So I am wondering how this person is conning the system.
Workers comp has doctors and investigators that determine disability. "Karen" isn't a doctor and seems to me like she is resenting her friends situation. She needs to stay out of it.
Seriously. I mean does she honestly think the workers comp system can be scammed? She's insane. We all know better, right? 😂
Exactly my thoughts. They’re pretty good at investigating. I think she’s just jealous and called to get a confirmation bias. Her friend is probably not a fraud
That's what I was wondering. Where I live, they do all they can not to pay. And doctor's reports go to them. Hard to scam. Maybe she is, but I would want to know how.
Amy, if you read this, I understand where you’re coming from about you work hard and others take advantage or get it easy whether that be things handed to them or committing fraud.
I would say that once you distance yourself from this person, you won’t think about it so much and you won’t ruminate on it and drive yourself crazy. Thankfully, this person is a friend that can be easily let go and not family. The people I deal with this kind of stuff with is family and I wish they were friends so they were easier to remove from my life.
She's definitely jealous. I have an Ex friend that abuses the WIC system. She wanted me to write a letter stating i gave her money. No...we are no longer friends and i just let it be. That's her karma....
Bro what is this? 7th grade lunch table drama?
And Dave talked like he was in the 8th grade
1:18 "I'm divorced". No surprise there. How lonely, empty, and obtuse must someone be to call a financial advice show for this other than to hear herself online? This is Dr. Phil's territory.
She also needs to call her state workers comp fraud hotline.
I would be tempted to do that too but in the end, it may be easy to figure out who did it. If Amy and this group of friends is 5 people, let’s say, and all of a sudden 1 person stops talking to you and now you’re under investigation for fraud, it’s easy to figure out that Amy was the reporter.
Another comment here said to let it go, it will come out in the open eventually. Whether that be another person, the government, work comp people, family, or God, it will bite this person in the but. So, why stress being that person to out another?

Agree, You need to cut ties with her. She does not have the morals you do and as said you not going to fix her.
Keeping a friend that was your best friend in grammar school could be a great thing, or it could just be a sentimental attachment. Sounds like this one is the latter for Amy. Sentimental attachments to people or things can really weigh you down if that’s all there is to that relationship.

Be careful, some rather serious neurological conditions can be hidden…if you turn her in and you are incorrect, there can be ramifications for you regarding the situation.

Playing devil's advocate here, but sometimes, there are disabilities that are not evident to the casual observer. This caller didn't say what the injury was that created the workman's compensation. You only know what the person has told you. Sounds more like this person is not a good "friend" with her badgering about not working and the "cut you off at the knees" comment. You are in your fifties. The people you knew in grade school are not the same people forty years later. Dave is correct here, time to move on from this "friendship". If she wasn’t committing a crime, and was just not an ethical person, I’d just end the friendship and be done with her. But because what she’s doing is illegal, I’d report her too. People need to quit being so terrified of doing the right thing.
Truth is that we don't have many real friends. We have a lot of acquaintances but don't trust too deeply. My default expectation of everyone is zero.
She could write her a letter. This has been a lifelong friendship, I don't feel right about ghosting someone like that. But this woman needs to hear the truth, and since she has a habit of cutting you off, a letter might be best. Also report her. What a shame.
I wouldn’t even tell no one about my money blessing that’s not a friend
People’s true colors come out when your on workmen comp. Even your wife can give you problems. Some people smile in your face but plots in the background. It’s never good to be on workmen’s comp as it creates problems. And it’s never good to tell people your business. You could be legit and people will still have something to say.
Hell, half of South America will be here doing the same soon.
This caller is hella jealous and trying to play it off as having a moral compass. Yeah the friend might be scamming, but you know workers comp doesn't pay out unless they think they have to, so plenty of deserving injured people are also getting scammed right back by workers comp. Don't hate the players, hate the game. But still with as much "feeling" as the caller is mad about, sounds like mostly jealousy that her friend caught a break and she didn't. Unless she has the report/findings from workers comp on the claim, she knows nothing about what is really going on.
This caller is assuming she knows how ok her friend is and what her medical issues really are. She may not know the full details of what’s going on with her her friend and why she’s been off work for so long. She needs to realize she may be misjudging her friend and her health situation and may be too quick to call this fraud.
Exactly. Not all health conditions are visual to strangers. Even the comment of the friend laughing at her for working could very well be a defensive reaction to Amy trying to put her down for not working. I've known people dealing with WC claims and had to see the physician from WC that is intentionally being very skeptical of the patient claims.
Is this woman a Doctor? Does she have access to the friend’s medical file?? What a Karen! She’s so jealous!
The caller spoke specifically in a context of a "friend group." The caller is NOT going to leave this peer group, and I would be willing to bet that the fraudster (who calls others to the carpet but doesn't let others to do it tp her) is the "leader" of the friend group.
