Fantastic battle report and game! Many key tactical decisions that provoke thought. I learned a lot! Also I’ve never seen elves get cut through so easily… that was a slaughter at the beginning. But Gil-galad is a monster and saved the day in the end, dispatching the two orc leaders in true High King of the Elves fashion.
This was such a great game to play, very enjoyable fights and had to deal with all those damm 6's from the elves. Ill get my revenge against the elves one day!
What a wonderful game! The only mistake you made in the whole battle was not allowing Bolg to keep enough distance from the front line to counter charge next turn.
Such a close game, hunter orcs are really friggin' strong, especially with the abundance of D6 armies. That initial turn of slaughter was absolutely horrific. Also good on the orc player for keeping the fights rather separate to make sure that there is little effect from the banner and maximum effect of the orcs' strength of numbers.
What an amazing game, I was held in suspense during all of it! I was so nervous by your poor dices rolls at the beginning and the tremendous amount of damages delivered by the hunter orcs.. But in the end your strategy to break his army so that he loses his courage tests did work! Very pleasant to watch, thanks a lot for this beautiful content :)
While both moves have been criticised I dont think either using the 3 might on the horse or sending bolg towards the fight were bad choices on their own but the orc player needed to pick one or the other. If u are gonna spend all your might to get the horse then take advantage of him being on foot and use your mobility to stay away. And if you want to charge in, save your might to Strike since gil galad only had one might left at the time and he ended up using it for a move the very next turn. The horse won't help against bolg who is also mounted which is really the fight that mattered at that stage.
Obligatory: Gil-galad was an Elven-king. Of him the harpers sadly sing; the last whose realm was fair and free between the Mountains and the Sea. His sword was long, his lance was keen. His shining helm afar was seen; the countless stars of heaven's field were mirrored in his silver shield. But long ago he rode away, and where he dwelleth none can say; for into darkness fell his star in Mordor where the shadows are.
As you said what a comeback. When the elves were drastically falling to the Hunter Orcs I thought it was game over for Last Alliance. But just goes to show how powerful Gil-Galad can be when he wrecks house.
That was a great battle report and a close game. Now for spoilers ... ... ... It was a very risky move to attack the elves contigent at the beginning, but it did sure pay off. Shame, he started well.
Yeah I m thinking about the Angmar Player on the last game coming from a maesltrom deployment with The Nazgul alone in his warband (a mistake in the list-building), and without any protection from the barrow wight warband, just to be stomped by the two chariots immediately. How to ruin a game turn 1..... His first mistake was not banning a Maelstrom with an angmar list without almost any might or a march in this particular scenario ... He did probably save two Hunter orcs with it that very turn though (about the 3 might)
I think the worst decision was not having a leader in range of all those orcs that were standing around
It s a great army but Maesltroms are clearly a weakness
@@ar-mando1240 Exactly what I was referring too!
I enjoy the quick, concise reports, easy to follow. And I would enjoy these games much more if they were presented as just 2 mates having a game, or as casual. But I was keen to see some high level stuff in a single elimination tournament of Victoria's tournament players, sadly not having played Vic opposition due to lockdown.
Instead, it's been a mixed bag. No one plays perfectly all the time, but we're not talking about minor mistakes, or about "yeah I had to make a 60/40 decision under pressure and it didn't pay off"
We're in the realm of calamities.
I bet you guys are fun at a party
I think he lost the game on that 3 might to kill the horse. Heroic moves and strikes later would have been more valuable, I think.
Might Is Gold, please don't waste It 😂
59 like in 2 hours is not as many as it deserves
Thanks, These videos are a lot of work I am hoping that they grow bigger and bigger each time!
