I understand parents wanting to protect their kids, but this is too far! Not being able to watch something you like/interested in, not being able to have friends, having the mindset that every friend is your enemy, Even having to ask permission to go to the freaking bathroom, NO. This is basically raising a prisoner, not even your kid anymore. This is insanity. Its true what they say, “the overprotective parents raise the best liars”
The mother isn't overprotective she a control freak controlling her daughter like treating her like a prisoner and I bet she doesn't even love her daughter look at the end when her daughter hug her she didn't even show love moral of the story show your kids love don't be so controlling that's how you push them away
Her mama was psycho that's what it was I mean how can you protect your daughter from everything and what did she where did she get these information about her friend being an enemy and all that like what's going on? I can't imagine having parents like this
The most important thing to do as a parent is to protect your kids but also as they grow allow them to learn from their mistakes you cant always protect them.. But in time they will come to you for guidance..
I've known parents who were WAY too overprotective of their children & it only backfired. Now that the kids are older, they are acting out & rebellious, because of how they were raised. Nothing wrong with being concerned & careful, but smothering your child isn't healthy, neither is trying to make them feel guilty for wanting to do normal things, such as have friends or use a cell phone. I know it's a scary world, but lying to your kids is only hurting them, not helping in their upbringing. Be honest, firm, understanding, open, patient, loving & kind. Thank you for another wonderful video!♥️ I always look forward to your latest content.
I don't know who is worse: an overprotective parent or an abusive/neglectful parent. But, kids choose whom they are going to become regardless of their parents. Parents need to realize that their kids are not going to have the same experiences that they had in the past.
That Brooklyn Johnson wow she something else ,yes parents always wants what's best for their children but sometimes we have to give and take in order not to push them away from us ,always let love lead the way ..
Keeping your children from experiencing the outside world will only strain the bond between a parent and a child. It’s better to be a protective and caring parent rather than being overbearing. The daughter moved out of house when she turned 18 to finally escape her mother’s overprotective nature. It took the mother a decade to realize why her daughter doesn’t visit her since her departure. The daughter remained single her entire life to break the vicious cycle. She’s living her life working as a car saleswoman by day and as a massage therapist by night giving gratification to clients. Here’s what could’ve happened if the mother made better choices: ( basically the opposite of what’s shown in the video )
What a valid lesson. I actually love this take. Its true what they say. Too much of something is bad. Too much freedom is bad. But too much protection is bad. The important thing is to balance giving freedom and protecting your kids. So they experience the world but always have a safe place to come back. Something we should all be doing in the future for our next generation.
Its a good thing that her mom is protective of her, and sometimes people in the movie industry slip things in badly, and sometimes you don't need to be watching stuff like that
Fantastic performances by Ms Brooklyn Johnson, Ms Shaquala Taylor, & Mr Chad Staton 👏🏼❤omg that mother was too controlling & overbearing to her daughter, like she treats her like a prisoner!! In this day and age you never lie to your kids and hid anything from them because society will teach them the wrong way it's good to tell them the truth and be open to them and let them live there live knowing that you thought them well
If I were Brandy, I would've cussed the mom out and yelled at her! And I would call her by her first name and not hug her while leaving. My mom was/is almost like that because she's Haitian, but she still let me have a phone and she didn't say anything about the movies I watched, although she did comment on a few TV shows. And the mother could've easily paused the movie if Brandy had to use the bathroom. It's no big deal.
This is something that happened with a video game for me when I was 10. Caused me to start seeing the enemies attack me and my family in the car and when I was taken to the clinic to see the doctor I looked out the window overlooking the highways that passed by and the lights of the street lamps triggered me to freak out and panic.
Oh my God!! Believe me , something similar happened to my nephew a few years ago!! Hé said that was a situation he hoped he would never have to be in ever again .
My mother lied to me once about a horror movie she said that the ghost was actually just a cat so I watched it on TH-cam but then it was a zombie and I was traumatized
My mother was like this and now we have no connection. She never loved me and the next time I see her, it will be at her funeral to make sure she's dead, turn around and walk out. She went over and above this video and became physically abusive. She still to this day claims she did nothing wrong, but the streets of New York City and the police know. And I'll leave it at that.
I had a overprotective dad so I snuck and did a lot of things I wasn’t supposed to do and ended up in a coma for 3 months and still my dad is overprotective he doesn’t know how to let go my mom is the complete opposite she pretty much just lets us do what we want
Overprotective mother shouldn't lied to her own daughter like that now she needs a Truth and she shouldn't sneaking around hearing her answer her phone 📱 with her friends about parent lie
(in MY opinion)You do NOT always have to protect your child. Only for a good reason. But when it’s a normal reason. DONT make a dramatic change to it. That will only make things worst. Your kid needs there own privacy. There privacy is there’s and there’s ONLY. And so that’s that. Happy Friday!
Those kids dont have no privacy when they live with their parents when they turn under age of 18 graduate from high school just move out or go to college and get a job
My mom used to be somewhat overprotective but that’s because I was naive and ppl often took advantage of me. I had a boyfriend back when I was a teen and he wanted to take me to the movies, I begged my mom to let me go, now mind you it was other guys with him and she gave in a decided to let me go. We never went to the movies and I ended up getting raped I didn’t tell my mom what actually happened until I graduated from high school. My mother regrets letting me go and I regret asking her, my so called boy pretty much lied to my mother dead in her face, saying that I Would be safe. Now you see why some parents are overprotective 🤔🤷🏽♀️
My mom was extremely over protective over me but not my brothers. Wasn’t aloud to have a boyfriend until I was 16, and when I got one I couldn’t hang out with him outside of school/school related events & she’d take my phone & laptop at night so I wouldn’t text him late & so she could monitor what him and I were talking about. I wasn’t aloud to stay the night with any of my friends, and I had a 6pm curfew up until a month before I turned 18. The last 6 months of me being 17, I kinda went buck wild. My friend bought me a secret phone, so I’d have one at night. I started sneaking out, smoking weed & drinking. It really is true over baring parents create the sneakiest kids 🤣 meanwhile my older & younger brother were aloud to go to parties, stay with their friends, wear whatever they wanted, have girlfriends as teens. Lmao. I admitted a lot to my mom once I grew up and started having kids.. but she still doesn’t know everything I did 🤣

I understand that it's every parent's job to protect their children. But one day in the future, it comes to a point where they're NOT children anymore. They're not babies anymore. They're not a daddy's boy/girl or a momma's boy/girl anymore. They're fully-grown adults that are old enough to protect themselves, have moved on, and have set up their own boundaries. Whether your son/daughter goes to college, gets married, has children, gets a job promotion, or whatever, AT LEAST be happy for them instead of being too insecure and overprotective.
Once my best friend asked me to go to the club with her and I refused because it was late and she said why not? I said you heard about that girl in Chicago that got killed at a party
Here's a good idea for a video. A father leaves the house without saying where he is going to the kids, despite being asked "Where are you going" several times over. He gets into an accident, unbeknownst to the kids. Somebody asks the kids where he is and tho can't explain it to him. He lives to regret it.
Dear God, First of all, I would like to thank God for allowing me to see another day, second, I’m asking you to put a shield and protection around me and my family and friends, God, also I’m asking you to heal the sick, I’m asking you to bless us with a roof over our head, clothes on our back and food on the table, also God, I’m asking you to blessed the homeless jobless in Jesus Mighty Name Amen.
