"You can't be a drag queen. Not with those tucking skills. Sorry." Paul. Honey. Don't shatter his dreams. Jake was a great teacher, obviously, since your bowls are stellar. Your videos are always like a warm hug and I start smiling before the commercials are over because I know something wonderful is moments away. ❤
8:27 I LOVE that your guide is asking about your vision and for more information instead of just assuming you are completely dependent! He sounds like an AMAZING person
You know, what's so great about watching the two of you? It's how you interact as if every moment together you're saying "I love you." even when you're pulling silly pranks or talking about things that were difficult for you. It's just heartwarming and makes me smile. And I wish you both the best.
What a fantastic experience to share together! Jake your instructor was professional and yet so chill at the same time - the perfect kind of teacher! It must have been quite a bit of sensory-overload for Paul at times but this place seems so accommodating and full of good vibes. I am so impressed with how relaxed you seemed Paul, you aced all the (rather dangerous-looking) techniques! Oh and both your bowls turned out so beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience with us and showing how things like this can easily be accessible to everyone!
Awww Matthew. That was such a sweet date to take Paul on. You’re so thoughtful and trying to get him to experience everything despite his blindness. What a great partner❤
That glass blowing guy actually seemed to give some rely great directions and be clear with what he was going to do, especially considering he hadn't worked with a blind person before. And bith of your bowls turned out so awesome looking!
Glass is very tactile. Paul will be able to enjoy that bowl even if he loses all his vision. Great choice on a fun and memorable activity to do together!
Love this! We've been going to Corning, NY, for years to make our tree ornaments. We lost them all in a house fire. We went back and told them what happened, and they gave us a private instructor to make 50 new ornaments instead of the 2 limit. The instructor was amazing, and we couldn't thank them enough for what they allowed us to do with a private instructor for the day. Our tree is white to show off the beauty in these ornaments with the lights. Incidentally, we didn't put our tree up in 2023 because we have a new puppy 😬. It was inevitable that she'd knock the tree down and break them all. These are treasures for years to come! I'm glad you experienced that!
I love how the 2 of you have such an easy laid back dynamic. The laughter and companionship you share beyond the loving relationship is one id like to experience.
OMFG!!! I’ve just discovered your channel. I am visually impaired and have RP too. Plus I am gay so I can totally relate, but I haven’t got my Matthew just yet. I can’t wait to see more videos. thank you for making this channel, it gives me hope that I can have an amazing life just like you two🌈❤️
It must be fab to find a channel online of someone who is experiencing something so personal to urself that u can relate to. Wish u all the best, from UK xx
Wow, Paul's bowl looks like starry night of Van Gogh. Both bowls so pretty and will have happy memory using it💕 That's really cool activity, something you both enjoy doing💕
Y'all are so friggin cute! I discovered you guys only a week or two ago, but was instantly drawn to the two of you! There's been a lot of negativity in my relationship for quite some time, but seeing the two of you together is just so friggin endearing! You guys clearly love and care about each other, and it's so refreshing to watch y'all interact ❤
I love that Jake guided Paul but didn't try to take over. I have seen people become very 'you're blind so I'll do this for you' in a lot of situations (mostly with crossing roads) so it was refreshing to watch Jake guided you
Cat Burns is a blind glassblower, so it's rare, but not unheard of to do glassblowing as a blind person. I'm so glad Paul got to try this, it looks like a lot of fun!
If I haven't said yet, here it goes: I always enjoy your videos but today it was absofreakinglutely awesome (and I did mean abso freaking lutely,) Matthew you make Paul's life so much richer and fun. You too most certainly belong together. Keep going forward fellows! Btw, I was glued to my computer, I hardly blinked, 😍
Watching the two of you is some of the best part of my day. It's so nice to see a couple really care for each other. You make such a happy family. Thank you for sharing your family with me. ❤
I love both of you- so cute and the love is very evident. I'm in a simular situation. I am newly disabled and the adjustment has been hard. My partner has been my rock, keeping a watchful eye on me and keeping me happy and safe. You two are quite the inspiration!🏳🌈
Both of the bowls are gorgeous! Glad it was a fun experience! The instructor seemed so chill and helpful. I visited the Chihuly glass museum in Seattle in college and it was magical! ❤
I'm so proud of both of you. I did a glass blowing class & the best I got was a lopsided globe. Paul you are such an inspiration to me. Watching you makes me realize how much I limit myself (& I have ok vision)
You guys are the cutest! I love the chemistry you have for one another, the joking, the way you refuse to let the eye situtation be a burner. Your glassy creations looked awesome. Loved those colors and the shapes. Greetings from Finland. 💛 🇫🇮
I’ve done this activity before with fairly “normal” eyesight and I was nervous. You’re so brave for doing it with very limited sight! You picked such beautiful colors for your projects!! Thanks for letting us go along on your fun experience! ❤
Yall are one of the most beautiful couples I have ever seen in my life! Always makes my day to see how much love and chemistry you both have with one another ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 please continue to do what you both do everyday and I wish you the best for everything in life.
Matthew, i think it is really wonderful that you find adventures to take Paul on so he has experiences to remembber later when his vision is gone. You two are so great together. 😊
Funny as usual! You know what 'hair having memory' means don't you? It means that you have a really good hairdresser who knows what they're doing! I am fortunate to have that too (and with curly hair ia good haircut is mandatory!). Paul, you are up for anything! What a cool person to be around! You two make a very good partnership.
your videos make me smile such a loving couple i had a boyfriend but he didn’t want to spend his life with a person who has disabilities you guys fit perfectly together the dog is so sweet
I lost most of my vision due to glaucoma. I would say I have about 30 percent vision left. This type of content is really heart warming. Vision loss is terrible but life goes on and its nice to see (no pun intended) the blind community :)
My first glass blowing experience was with Jake at Tacoma Glass Blowing Studio. He was fabulous! What an awesome gift. It was truly eye opening to experience it from Paul’s perspective. Side note, my hand was freaking sore from squeezing that damn bulb lol. We did the Christmas ball class. 8 of those dang things!
I enjoyed this video as a new subscriber. Beautifully done. I was born with limited eyesight myself, and am thankful for what I can do. You are an inspiration to me.
I just discovered your videos tonight and am SO happy I did. I have already binged your shorts so now I'm on to full length videos! Your relationship is so humble and I just love the energy you both bring to videos together.
I love these videos! Usually I laugh at these 2 goofballs! This brought tears to my eyes. Such a wonderful love story! Both of the glass pieces are stunning!!
I enjoyed this very much. I live near Corning, New York and have visited their glass works but have never taken the opportunity to do a piece myself. It’s so cool to watch them blow the glass. It’s time I go for it myself after watching you two make those beautiful bowls. The museum is amazing. At the Corning Hospital the entire lobby is bedecked with gorgeous Corning Glass!! This was a fun watch for me. Thank Guys! ❤

Paul's bowl reminds me of Starry Night with the colors and swirls. Then I love the color pallet and pattern on Mattew's! This looks like such a fun experience
Having done a glass blowing class a couple times, I’m so impressed! You both did lovely bowls and Paul, you just went for it. Just the heat from the ovens can be intimidating! Great fun watching your experience.
The more I watch M & P videos, the more I believe that laughter is a major part of a successful marriage. Those guys are an inspiration.
Agreed!❤️

I think Matthew said that to paul
@@vogelvogeltje no, Paul said it to Matthew bc Matthew (behind the camera) put them up
I love that you help Paul doing fun things outside their comfort zone.
Paul's bowl reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night painting. It has similar swirls of blue. Great job, guys!
I had the exact same thought!!!
Me too!!! I love that painting
Was just about to comment that!
I too thought that. So pretty
Same!

that little swirl on the side of Paul's bowl immediately made me think starry night and matthew's is like a sunset
I love your observations, spot on!
