Love this! We've been going to Corning, NY, for years to make our tree ornaments. We lost them all in a house fire. We went back and told them what happened, and they gave us a private instructor to make 50 new ornaments instead of the 2 limit. The instructor was amazing, and we couldn't thank them enough for what they allowed us to do with a private instructor for the day. Our tree is white to show off the beauty in these ornaments with the lights. Incidentally, we didn't put our tree up in 2023 because we have a new puppy 😬. It was inevitable that she'd knock the tree down and break them all.

What a fantastic experience to share together! Jake your instructor was professional and yet so chill at the same time - the perfect kind of teacher! It must have been quite a bit of sensory-overload for Paul at times but this place seems so accommodating and full of good vibes. I am so impressed with how relaxed you seemed Paul, you aced all the (rather dangerous-looking) techniques! Oh and both your bowls turned out so beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience with us and showing how things like this can easily be accessible to everyone!

I love that Jake guided Paul but didn't try to take over. I have seen people become very 'you're blind so I'll do this for you' in a lot of situations (mostly with crossing roads) so it was refreshing to watch Jake guided you

Cat Burns is a blind glassblower, so it's rare, but not unheard of to do glassblowing as a blind person. I'm so glad Paul got to try this, it looks like a lot of fun!

I love both of you- so cute and the love is very evident. I'm in a simular situation. I am newly disabled and the adjustment has been hard. My partner has been my rock, keeping a watchful eye on me and keeping me happy and safe. You two are quite the inspiration!🏳🌈

My first glass blowing experience was with Jake at Tacoma Glass Blowing Studio. He was fabulous! What an awesome gift. It was truly eye opening to experience it from Paul’s perspective. Side note, my hand was freaking sore from squeezing that damn bulb lol. We did the Christmas ball class. 8 of those dang things!
I really enjoyed watching this, and the teacher Jake seemed incredibly kind and helpful, what a cool experience 🥰

I enjoyed this very much. I live near Corning, New York and have visited their glass works but have never taken the opportunity to do a piece myself. It’s so cool to watch them blow the glass. It’s time I go for it myself after watching you two make those beautiful bowls. The museum is amazing. At the Corning Hospital the entire lobby is bedecked with gorgeous Corning Glass!! This was a fun watch for me. Thank Guys! ❤

I wish my grandpa could speak English. He would be so happy seeing this since he was a professional glassmaker most of his life. _Our house is full of glasses, vases, etc. he made!_ 🍷
Sadly, it doesn't seem like he will live for a long time anymore but it's better this way. He doesn't want to anymore 😪🙂.

I de-pill one of our couches too! But not every Saturday... like twice a year.
I love, love, love their love languages - there i did it, blasphemously used the same word more than once in a sentence 🤣.
You can see that at times, and these are very rare, when Matthew holds back a bit when Paul throws shade like "were you jealous" and it's cut to them looking more sobre and Paul moves in a bit closer and touches Mathew's leg and Mathew instinctively puts his arm around Paul to pacify him like "I might be upset, but I'm still here, i still love you".

When I was about 10 years old my dad brought me to Venice and we visited a glass factory on Murano island, I was absolutely fascinated by all the process and still I am, but I'd be completely terrified by all those hot furnaces, melted glass... don't know if I'd brave enough to try!
There was a TV series about glassblowing on Netflix some yrs ago, me and my daughter never lost an episode.
Jake has been great, he must be really an intelligent and understanding man because, as you noticed, he could have done everything himself involving Paul at the bare minimum .
