      I really appreciate that. I do see my testing as still having room to grow. I want to add a few more tests in the future when I'm finally in a place to over hall my testing to version3.

    Bought two arctic p14 max fan for my lian li lancool 205m case. Installed these instead of 2x front intake stock lian li 140 mm fans and there was temperature drop 4 celcius on cpu, 5 celcius on GPU in 29 celcius ambient temperature. Also my case has dust filter in front of intake fans. Impressive performance and not so loud. I strongly recommend these fans for your case.

      I completely agree. I'm trying to not go broke though. I'm finally getting small $$ from monetization and patrons and youtube members are helping. I'm thinking of getting one soon to just add to testing but probably wont go back thru and retest everything this time. When i do Rev3 of my testing method I'll attempt to retest all the fans to this point.
      I want to be the definitive source on PC fans. haha

    Wow, just wow, always wondered when Arctic will release a 140mm P12 max, and now that they finally did, I am not disappointed. I'm seriously considering buying a bunch of them, but trying hard to justify spending money for that many fans :D

      The sample I got from my purchase was very impressive. I just dont know if its the norm. I wish I was in a place with this channel to buy multiple fans of a type to try to get some kind of statistic on it. But all things are pointing to it being good.

      and I'm a little disappointed, because I love the double ball bearing. Yes, it is a little bit noisier (although I would say you can't hear it in the case behind the airflow), but they are almost eternal, and FDM is a couple of years if you're not lucky and a few if you're lucky.

    It would be nice if you could extend the noise profile test you did at 6:00 but at different speeds and during speed change. If you can make this sound comparisons cfm normalized vs. other fans it would be very helpful. Other than that great work!

    • @computer-tech-more
      @computer-tech-more  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hmm I'll have to start doing that in Rev3 of my testing. I basically dont do other PWM than 100% unless I notice an oddity on the sound the fan makes. I have an upcoming video where I do just that.
      The P14 Max sound profile was very smooth. Sounding.

  • @vedomedo
    @vedomedo 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Very nice video! I am curious as to how the fans sound when it comes to the bearings? I've seen talks about the P12 Max's having some issues with buzzing and high pitched noise. Did you experience any of that with the P14 Max?
    Oh and, I think adding chapters to your videos would make for a better user experience on the viewers end. Easier to jump to relevant chapters.

    • @computer-tech-more
      @computer-tech-more  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Chapters. I have time stamps. in the description. I guess ill have to look into how to do chapters. I thought adding time stamps kind of did that.
      About the bearring No it uses and FDB (fluid dynamic bearing) the original P12max used ad dual ball bearing. I have a video up with the new P12Max that has an FDB bearing.
      can say no buzzing or bearing sounds I could hear.
      just the sound of air moving

    A 3d visual of noise vs CFM vs price would be nice, since I'm looking for fans to build a filter box. So I'd want to know how loud it is at a required CFM. And how much it would cost to achieve that.

    hardware busters said that the p14 max claims it uses FDBs but actually uses rifle bearings. Is this true?

    • @computer-tech-more
      @computer-tech-more  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hmm I dont know. I assume in their review they disassembled the fan? You can riffle a FDB bearing. I think. The riffling is there to help keep the fluid from settling in one spot of the bearing.
      I am not an expert at bearing. I am more aerospace so the blade design.
      So take my understanding of the bearing as a grain of salt.
